Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

BF.......N! Lol I feel more settled though!

Bluepigoon · 13/08/2015 08:37

I've got a huge pack of cheapie internet tests in the bathroom cupboard (i spent way too much on sainsburys tests when we started trying a couple of months ago so decided this was safer for my bank balance) but still impatiently waiting to ovulate this month so no need for them yet. I prefer the internet ones to shop ones, they look a bit like you're doing a science experiment!

MrsHughes25 · 13/08/2015 08:42

It was way to early for me to test.
It was really to settle my nerves!

I need to wait for a bloody period, which hopefully will be around 26th x

Bluepigoon · 13/08/2015 08:57

It's so tempting to test early though! Doesn't mean it's going to stay a bfn, just give it a few more days :)

MrsHughes25 · 13/08/2015 09:12

I really don't think I'd catch this soon- I don't even know if I ovulated lol

lostindubai · 13/08/2015 09:13

Aww MrsHughes sorry to hear you're feel nervous! We'll try to keep you chilled until AF is due!

What's everyone up to today? I'm off to the library with ds. Hoping it's not too late to start the summer reading challenge with him.

I'm at work then going to see the new mission impossible film afterwards. I've heard good things about it so looking forward to seeing it.

MrsHughes25 · 13/08/2015 09:32

Thanks girls!
I'm at work- absolutely shattered!

Reebok · 13/08/2015 10:32

Haha Bluepigeon! Totally agree!

Mrs Hughes, the digital ones aren't actually as sensitive...SuperDrug brand is much cheaper and sensitive too. When pregnant with LO clear blue digital gave me negatives whereas got first positives with first response and SuperDrug.

I'm cramping badly today so having a 'me' day in bed with movies and chocolate to make me feel better. Think AF will arrive soon and it's meant to be much heavier after a natural mc. Arghhhhh

DeccaMitford · 13/08/2015 10:34

Haha, I'm so opposite in many ways. It's my husband who was pestering me for #1 and now #2 but I made him wait till I was ready. Also I'm more likely to put off testing as long as possible in case something goes wrong.

My DS is at the childminder today so I am having a massive spring (autumn?!) clean. I've just steam cleaned the floor and am feeling pretty sweaty now so will have a nice long bath later as a reward!

Annarose2014 · 13/08/2015 10:51

Popping in as I'm driving myself a bit mad with the TWW. Af isn't due till the end of the month. I'm using Clue which gives you an estimated fertile week.

Its been a crap month DTD wise though as we had a lot of guests - thin walls so we felt a bit inhibited, lol. We only managed to do it twice during fertile week.

So not particularly optimistic but you never know. This is #2 and #1 was conceived on the first round. I don't feel any different though! I know its only been 1 week though!

DeccaMitford · 13/08/2015 11:35

I think the witch has got me Sad

MrsHughes25 · 13/08/2015 11:54

I've seen lots about the super drug tests being good.
Right now I'll be excited to have a period/ ten years is a long time without one lol
I got caught up in symptoms yesterday- back to being calm now! Can't wait to see your girls catching though

Molly28 · 13/08/2015 20:32

Soory slow response here!!

Lichen sclerosis is a skin condition that usually affects ladybits. It can cause long term thrush symptoms and skin fusion. Mine is under control at the moment but dtd can cause it to flare up :(

Ntnp stands for not trying not preventing. So im off the pill with no protection but not tracking my cyvles etc. Last time i became obsessed so im not sure how long this will last mind you!! ;)

Tamara160 · 13/08/2015 21:58

Ouch Molly! That sounds very unpleasant! I hope it clears up soon.

Hi Annarose! Hopefully twice was enough! Shame about having guests, well not a shame but you know what I mean! I'm just about to enter the TWW and i'm already going crazy! Everything i'm feeling i'm over analysing everything [embarrassed]

I hope it's not too bad for you Reebok Flowers

MrsHughes, i'm buying some from ebay. My friend uses them and says they're great. They're cheap so worth a shot!

Decca - the witch? Do you mean AF?

Reebok · 13/08/2015 22:55

Decca sorry to hear that...remember AF is the first day of your new pregnancy though! Chin up Hun.

Molly, ouch feel for you Hun. My mum had that. Cleared up after 2 years so I know how awful it can be.

Thank you Tamara. Not feeling so awful. Just wish this damn first AF would arrive so I can start Ttc again next cycle.

CakeLady456 · 14/08/2015 10:24

Ah sorry MrsHughes, am in the same boat at the mo waiting for first AF after having my contraceptive implant removed a fortnight ago! Anyone else know how long that might take?! What's everyone up to for the weekemd? We've got my father in law for his 70th birthday, I'm making a Homer Simpson cake for him this eve!! That'll probably take my mind off TTC for a bit!

Annarose2014 · 14/08/2015 15:39

I've just twigged that as my cycles have been 37 days long lately, I still have 10 days to go! Aaaah!

We're finally houseguest free so we got back on the horse Blush but its too late on CD27 for anything to happen from it, right?

Tamara160 · 14/08/2015 17:37

No idea I'm afraid cakelady, AF arrived for me as normal the first month i came off the pill. I think it's different for everyone.

It's still worth a shot Annarose, you never know!

Today i have driven DH to Leicester to collect a new car, dashed around town in the rain and then painted our hallway. I'm very impressed that i didn't cover myself in paint too much!!! Grin Hope everyone has had a nice day Smile

darkpandora · 14/08/2015 21:26

Hey Ladies you have been so chatty been trying to catch up. Hope you are all doing ok.

molly thank you for answering me that sounds painful hope you are ok. I get cystitis a lot especially when having a lot of sex and that stings so can't imagine how much that must hurt.
decca sorry the witch got you but at least this means you are onto to the next cycle and one step closer to your BFP Smile
annarose I'm not sure but there's always a chance you could ov later than planned so when in doubt Dtd!
Tamara how much decorating have you got left to do?
waves to everyone else

I'm not sure wether I have ov'd yet or not so just Dtd whenever I can so we have a better chance. Me and OH we're discussing nursery ideas and that the other day so I went totally baby crazy again but I'm now calm.

Tamara160 · 14/08/2015 22:36

Haha dark the idea of starting the nursery is so exciting isn't it?! Just keep dtd to cover yourselves Smile

The living room needs lining paper on the walls, the feature wallpaper and then painting. The stairs and landing upstairs needs their 1st coat of pain. Then those 2 and the hallway need a second coat. The kitchen needs doing too but u think i may take a break before we do that!
I've been kicking DHs arse all day to get him to do more in the living room as he's been tinkering with his car all day instead. He wants to do this tomorrow too and then invited his mate and my other friends around too. I put my foot down as i have no where to put anyone, never mind a small child plus we need to get cracking. I was not impressed to say the least! when he's not been tinkering wih his car, he's been leaving a trail of destruction behind hin or had his head stuck in his phone.

Sorry for the rant, just needed to get it out! Angry

CakeLady456 · 14/08/2015 22:45

Oh dear tamara men are idiots sonetimes eh?!?!? I told the DH I was hormonal and not to bug me, 10 seconds later he's winding me up!!!! Well done for putting your foot down tho!!

Tamara160 · 14/08/2015 22:58

They have no idea do they! Grr Angry I'm hoping to be in a better mood tomorrow. Hopefully you'll be more settled tomorrow too cakelady Smile

CakeLady456 · 14/08/2015 23:31

Fingers crossed!! Am ending myself up with these mood swings lol.

Reebok · 15/08/2015 08:48

No AF yet although I suppose I can't be sure when it will arrive as my cycle messed up after mc. Been using mc date as lmp to guess when I ovulated/start my next AF.
