TTC - a relaxed thread.

Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now

I've got two in the dressing table & a man that wants to know what I'm typing on haha! Gonna have to tell him I've joined a TTC forum haha! X

Mrs Hughes don't worry I didn't know the abbreviations either lol I checked out the acronyms page but there's still one I don't know that's not on there it's was used on another thread I was reading I think it was an insult but not sure it's LPB anybody know?

My DH likes that I've joined a forum as I can get my 'baby craziness' out on here haha!

Just googled LPB and the only thing I can find that remotely makes sense is Low Back Pain. Does that sound right Dark?

Ha ah Tamara my OH is exactly the same I was driving him loopy I have been going on about babies and us Having a baby for about 2 years now but it was him who said to me he wants to try so I think it worked lol.

My baby crazy went a bit far the other day tho I was looking at old Victorian style strollers as I think they are gorgeous (£1,450 worth of gorgeous!) although my OH did join me so I blame him!

Anybody else look at baby things constantly??

Hmm I don't think that's it as somebody came on the board bragging about being pregnant on a TTC forum and they all ganged up on this person calling them an LPB?? And making them leave the thread Ooh hang on maybe its Lucky pregnant bitch?? Ooh that's not nice

I've told him & I think he was ok about it- he's so laid back reactions are hard to figure out lol.
He's happy it's not me talking to men online though haha!

I've kept myself away from baby merch to try contain myself, I'm excited like a young girl going through puberty & being a woman again haha! X

I'm not great with all the abbreviations but I know that LP is luteal phase. Could it have been that? There were loads of mystery abbreviations on the other thread I was on. Tbh I found it all really confusing and not at all relaxing which is why I moved away from it.

Molly what is NTNP? More abbreviations to add to the mix hehe!

Oh god I'm always looking at baby stuff. I've been looking at wardrobes for a nursery tonight and found a lovely one to match the cgest of drawers we were given. DH said no though as we have ages to sort that out. Needless to say i was disappointed lol.

Ooh i agree Dark, that's not nice at all if that's what it means. What a nasty thing to say to someone! Thank goodness our thread isn't like that.

My OH is already a dad so he's very much taking it in his stride, I'm getting excited!
We haven't told anyone I'm not on the pill as both of our moms would go crazy buying stuff & we don't want to pressure- so it's nice to not feel so alone!

I for one will be really pleased for you all when you get BFPs! X

I suppose it's easier for him this time around already being a dad, do you think his 'laidbackness' is helping you relax at all or is it making you extra excited?

Sometimes it makes me want to choke him lol!
I don't want him to feel I'm putting pressure on, but he gets that I'll be super excited to see a positive test.
His first was a shock, so he too has never dealt with a woman being allowed to try lol! X

As I'm not charting or anything and trying not to have timed sex I worry that when it's actually my fertile time my OH might not be in the mood any of you worry about that? I mean at the moment my OH hasn't kept his hands of me and keeps wanting sex so it's working out well but I'm sure it won't be the case every month lol

Because he's so laid back & im not I bug him for reactions & we end up arguing, which is why I think your ladies will be good for us! Took a lot of hard thought together but he told me not to take my pill, & said he thinks us having a baby will make life better.
In a drunken state he said "let's have a baby" & I know he's on it- he even says it. He just doesn't react well to pressure, you know?
Maybe yours in the same, just wants an easy life lol!

I was worried about that too... he seems happy so far but i don't want to over do it. From what I've read dtd every few days should be fine as the sperm can live for up to 7 days. I still would want to dtd a bit more than that to make sure though.

I'm not charting, but we're pretty active anyway.

My DH is exactly the same. He's excited but doesn't like being bugged about it or me talking about things we might need when do finally get our BFP. I think he'll be more excited when we get a positive test.
No kids yet for either of us, we've been 'ready' for a few months but we wanted to hang on a bit longer due to work etc.

He'll love it when I am, & hell love another child. & his first would too, I have a good relationship as step mom.
He just wants to chill & have sex lol! He's never responded well to stress or nagging! X

Aw it's great that you have a good relationship with your stepdaughter/son (i couldn't remember if you said which it was ). How old are they?

Sounds like all our OH's are the same when it comes to pressure so we can just get it all out on here

Hahaaaa I'm so glad I'm not the only crazy one! I sometimes feel as though i want to jump up and down, while squealing and squeezing DH at the sametime! Poor guy!

Re preg tests guys, just buy some internet cheapies. I bought 25 10mui for £3 something!!! I had about 6/7 negatives when I was pregnant with my daughter before I got a positive so I refuse to waste cash on tests. And then once you get a positive you can treat yourself to an expensive one!

Good idea! I may just do that, i can't see myself being convinced with just one test lol.

I've brought tesco digital ones.. Anyone know how soon you can take them? X

The temptation became too much- to attempt to settle myself I've done a test (I know it's too soon!)
