Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

Feel really awful now. Still having cramps but no sign of AF. And I have the most excruciating headaches which make me feel nauseous and seem to be worse when I'm hungry. Tired as hell and I slept for 2 and a half hours with LO but it didn't help. Still feel like crap! Sorry....I'm just feeling really sorry for myself.

applecatchers36 · 15/08/2015 19:12

Sorry to hear your feeling so rough Reebok, sounds intriguing though & will be keeping fingers crossed for a BFP!

What is everyone up to this weekend? We had a nice picnic with friends in the park seeing as the weather was better, DD had a great time in the playground. Back now & feeling exhausted after running after her all day.

Hope your all making the most of the weekend.

Reebok · 15/08/2015 19:46

Doubt these are pregnancy symptoms apple but thanks. I feel like I'm getting the flu.

DeccaMitford · 15/08/2015 21:30

I'm feeling pretty crap too. AF not really got going yet but I did a test and got BFN so not just IB. Dodgy tummy too Angry

CakeLady456 · 15/08/2015 22:50

Oh dear we are all in the wars! Have got first AF yesterday after having my implant out, (ouch), briefly thought could be IB but no. Hope you feel better soon Reebok and Decca.

darkpandora · 15/08/2015 23:30

Hey ladies sorry to hear AF has got a lot of you..onwards and upwards onto the next cycle you will all get there Smile

I'm officially in the 2ww now I think. Me and my fiancé had a massive argument about me not being relaxed enough about it all and putting too much pressure on him ( he found my marked off calendar of when we had dtd, when we needed to and when I suspected ov) he said that he doesn't like to think about it as if it doesn't happen its gonna be stressful where as if we don't stress we can be excited about the process.. He is right I guess but it's so hard not to go a little crazy.

Hope everyone weekends are going ok and just wanna say hello to the pregnant ladies hope you are doing ok as well.

lostindubai · 16/08/2015 10:09

Hi everyone. Sorry to hear there are a lot of us feeling like crap. I am a bit too actually, the morning sickness has kicked in (as it did at the six week stage last time around) and I have to snack constantly to keep the feeling at bay. Feels so obvious I'm just hoping folk won't notice!

Oh Pandora Sad maybe keep that calendar in your head next time around - although fingers crossed you won't need to keep one at all!

Take care lovelies x

Hello, can I join you please?

We've been ttc no.2 since January. DS is 4 and was conceived first month of trying so having to wait for a BFP is driving me mad! I'm 31 and DH is 35. I came off cerazette (worst pill ever!) in January and since then my cycles have been all over the place. Longest had been 43 days, shortest has been 29. I used opks last month but I'm not convinced they were positive at the right time and don't think I'll bother again. I confess to being a POAS addict from about cd25 though Blush this month I will not be!

Trying to stay relaxed and not be obsessed and hoping you ladies will help with that Smile

DeccaMitford · 16/08/2015 10:49

Hi Millie!

Why do our bodies start to do these weird things to us when we are ttc? My cycles have been regular as clockwork for the past couple of years, then the 1st month trying AF was two days early, then this month OPKs didn't show I was ov until way later than I expected, then AF seemed to show up but hasn't got going properly for 3 days, but BFN last night. So much false hope and frustration! And a messed up cycle this month will make next month stressful again. So much for a relaxed approach!

Oh well, will try and enjoy the sunshine and take my mind off things

Reebok · 16/08/2015 12:41

Hi all, sorry to hear AF has caught a few of you. Mine still hasn't arrived yet and now the cramps have gone alongside that heavy period may be starting feeling. Instead I'm so run down which is probably causing late AF...doubt it's pregnancy as I don't think we dtd on time. Had a temp last night and still have the bad headaches which make me want to throw up...maybe migraines? Not had one since I was a kid! Sorry for the rant. Feel so rubbish and hard to relax as LO doesn't understand that mummy is sick.

Welcome Millie. Sorry you are having a tough time. The pill can really mess up your system. I came off the pill in April...it really caused some crazy symptoms as I hadn't ovulated before my daughter was born. We waited until June Ttc although I ended up mc that one last month. Fingers crossed your cycle will sort itself out soon and you will get a bfp! Until then, we are here to keep you calm and relaxed!

MillieMoodle · 16/08/2015 20:01

Hi Decca and Reebok, thanks for the kind welcome Smile

My cycles were always 35 days pre-pill, then I had years on the combined pill, came off it and conceived DS straight away. After he was born, went back on combined pill but then had to switch to mini-pill after getting ocular migraines. I was on cerazette for 7 months and bled the entire time.

Am trying to stay positive and not get stressed about ttc but some months are easier than others. I really thought we'd done it this month but never mind, onto next month I suppose!

Just waiting for AF to clear off now so we can get back on it! Smile

MillieMoodle · 16/08/2015 20:02

Reebok, sorry to hear about your mc Thanks it must be so difficult.

Reebok · 16/08/2015 20:15

Thanks Millie...it was actually my second mc. First one I had before conceiving my LO. Some days are harder than others...but my daughter keeps me going on tough days and reminds me that I am lucky in the sense that I have already have a child so I try to count my blessings.

Just try to take one day at a time Millie and do things to take your mind off Ttc. When it's meant to be, it will happen.

Feeling worse for wear now. My ears, throat and head kill. Really bad aches and pains too and feverish. I want to cry!

Tamara160 · 16/08/2015 20:21

Sorry to hear so many of you are feeling under the weather.

Welcome Millie, hopefully we'll be able to keep you calm! I've heard mixed reviews about the opks too, makes me a bit unsure about using them. Don't think I'll consider it unless nothing happens for a few months. I hope you get your BFP soon though!

Dubai, oh dear I hope the morning sickness isn't too bad and doesn't last for too long!

Ahh Pandora, sorry to hear about the argument. Although I can see his point, I do agree with you that it's so hard not to be slightly crazy about it! If it makes you feel any better, I'm constantly checking the ovia app and making sure I've entered as much data as possible! I think it's very different for the OH's as it's not their bodies that could possibly be undergoing such an exciting change. I hope you're ok though.

I'm now officially in the ttw now too and i'm already going a bit doo lally! Every little cramp/twinge make me wonder... I know it's too early and that i'm supposed to be relaxed about it, I can't help but think/obsess over it a little!

Tamara160 · 16/08/2015 20:23

Reebok I really hope you feel better soon, are you able to take anything to take the edge off it?

MillieMoodle · 16/08/2015 20:29

Thanks Reebok. I'm lucky as I've not had a mc, it must be so difficult but to have had two must be very hard. I hope you're ok.

Thanks for the welcome Tamara - I drove myself mad in the last tww, got through masses of IC tests and each time convinced myself I could see a faint line. Also had awful cramps which I convinced myself were implantation cramps but actually now think they might have been ov cramps. Meaning I ov'd a week later than I thought so we probably didn't dtd enough at the right time. Aargh!

This month I have got to try and not test too early! I need you ladies to stop me. What do you all do to take your minds off it?

Reebok · 16/08/2015 20:32

Nothing seems to work. Sat here with a hot water bottle for Aches and pains. Hunger seems to make headaches worse but I'm having to eat small amounts often or I feel sick my stomach. Think my body is just really messed up at the moment. Can't even sleep. Struggling because of pains in body/head etc.

lostindubai · 16/08/2015 20:36

Hi Millie Smile

Thanks Tamara. Not actually being sick, just feeling it so that's something.

Reebok, love, maybe you should call the doctor tomorrow? You sound really ill x

OP posts:
Tamara160 · 16/08/2015 20:57

I agree with Dubai Reebok, maybe the doctors will help.

Yes, at least you're not throwing up Dubai! Fingers crossed it doesn't reach that point!

I'm not sure what to suggest Millie, i'm re-decorating at the mo so that's keeping me busy but i'm still thinking about it lots. I was wondering about the cramps too thinking maybe they were OV cramps but I have no idea Confused Oh well, i'll find out in 2 weeks.

Reebok · 16/08/2015 20:59

My doc will only say it's the flu and to rest...there is a good doc but he's impossible to get an on the day app with because everyone wants him. I haven't felt this sick in ages! It couldn't be an infection from miscarriage right??? That was 4 weeks ago and I had negative test and everything was pretty much gone when I was scanned. Plus no bleeding.

Reebok · 16/08/2015 21:01

Glad you're not throwing up Dubai but sometimes the nausea can be so rough. There are Meds you can get if it gets bad. With my LO I had hyperemesis so was on Meds which kind of helped a teeny bit.

Tamara before we started Ttc I remember feeling really bad cramps during ovulation.

MillieMoodle · 16/08/2015 21:21

Hi Dubai Smile congratulations on your pregnancy!

Reebok, you sound like you're having a rough time at the moment. Are you able to sleep? If I have a migraine all that helps is sleeping in a very dark, cool room.

Tamara - we're in the process of moving house but it's very early days so although we've packed up some boxes it's a bit early to start packing up everything. I'll be glad when I can crack on with that though, as it'll keep me busy and my mind off ttc. Have also been really busy at work recently which had meant I've not thought about it during the day. First thing in the morning and last thing at night are when I struggle. I think, 'oh, I'll just do a quick test, just in case' knowing it will be a bfn. I keep buying 50 packs of the IC's Blush DH hasn't asked why I am getting through so many. He must know I am though cos we share an ebay account!

Tamara160 · 16/08/2015 23:24

Haha oh dear millie, it sounds like he's cool about all the packs! Either that or he thinks it's normal! Glad you're managing to keep busy though, it helps to keep the crazy at bay. If i was at work I'd be less obsessed i think When do you move house?

I wonder if I'm feeling ov cramps then reebok? I don't normally feel them and it's a bit later than expected but it's possible. I hope you feel better.

MrsHughes25 · 17/08/2015 07:11

Hi ladies!
Sorry I've not said much, & hope you all feel better soon!

I still have no AF, however I've got really sore nipples.

My OH said last night he keeps getting a feeling I'm pregnant & I should do another test!

DeccaMitford · 17/08/2015 07:16

Still no proper AF but still BFN. Harrumph Angry
