Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

Hi Lost!

I did a test this morning and DH and i both saw a line but it was so faint we thought it might be where the line is supposed to come up. If that makes sense Confused i looked again a few hours later and there's definitely a line but it could be an evap line. I've bought some first response tests and I'm going to have another try again tomorrow. What a faff!
As for the wedding, i just said it was my turn to drive. I got a few funny looks but oh well.

I hope everything is going well for you lost!

Hi Anna! You never know, you're in until AF arrives! I'm on CD 31 today so we're nearly at the same stage. The tests could be negative because it's too early. When are you going to test again?

lostindubai · 29/10/2015 07:18

Oh Tamara how tantalisingly frustrating for you!

All is fine with me thank you. Really hoping for a proper bfp for you today Smile x

Fingers crossed for you! I'm not going to bother testing again as I feel sure AF is coming in the next 3 days. Felt crampy and queasy yesterday so just pre menstrual in general. Just going to keep busy!

Tamara160 · 29/10/2015 08:11

Glad you're doing well lost Smile

Sounds like a good idea Anna.

I've just done another test with a FRER and got a solid negative! Not even a hint of a line!! Angry I'm 2 days late now and no sign of AF making an appearance yet either! So frustrated!!

Annarose2014 · 30/10/2015 10:10
Sad

Massive hugs. I'm in the same boat - day 32 now and nada. My boobs are v tender etc but I think thats just pre-menstrual rather than anything else. I refuse to waste more money on tests!

But my last cycle was 39 days (albeit without soy) so I may have another bloody week till AF comes! Lets hope the soy makes it shorter - that was the idea after all!

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help. This is my first month of TTC after stopping the pill at the end of sept, so I've had a withdrawal bleed at the beginning of the month, then clear blue test confirmed I was ovulating on the 16th of Oct (which I thought would be unlikely in the first month off the pill). So my first question is, should I expect AF around today? I tried a test today and it was negative. I experienced a tiny spot of blood on Wednesday and nothing since and the past two days I've woken up in the middle of the night with an extremely dry mouth, has anyone else had this?! I don't think it's a very common pregnancy sign, or is it? Thanks for any help!

lostindubai · 30/10/2015 21:10

Sorry Mel I have no idea, but I was also under the impression that it takes a few months for your cycle to regulate after coming off the pill. However I'm no expert and I'm sure it can also happen straight away for some women.

Tamara I'm gutted for you! Is AF usually here by now?

Good luck to you Anna. Try not to stress too much, I know easier said than done but try keeping busy with other stuff so you're not dwelling on it x

Thanks Anna. You must be fed up by now, especially if you have a week to go! As frustrating as it is, I would hang fire for now and see what happens. I hope AF stays away though!

Hi Mel. I don't know much more either. My cycles went straight back to what they used to be before I went on the pill. But the last 2 months they've been longer for some reason. So i'm not much help i'm afraid.

Lost - AF arrived late yesterday. I was gutted. The last 2 cycles have been longer by about 4 days. I'm beginning to wonder if the Folic acid has something to do with it... DH and I are having next month off from TTC because if we conceived, baby would be due on our holiday next year. So I've got to twiddle my thumbs until December.

Annarose2014 · 31/10/2015 10:34

Wine for you Tamara.

Mel its impossible to know with first cycle but the pill can make things a bit erratic after. Download Clue - its a very good cycle tracking app. Its the only way I keep track of things. I have to say, dry mouth is not really a "thing", no.

My boobs are bloody uncomfortable. Like bags of sand. Curiosity is killing me of course, but am trying to stay strong as long as poss without testing.

lostindubai · 02/11/2015 20:45

Fingers crossed for you Anna. Keep us posted!

Tamara I hope you can enjoy your 'time off'. I wonder if you stop taking the folic acid your cycle will change again? I've never heard of it but would be interesting to know.

Oh not a hope lost. My period is so late now that I've realised I must have ovulated (if I ovulated at all) very very late in the cycle. And cruelly, i think that was the one window this month we eased off on DTD as we thought we must have gotten it already as I had EWCM quite early on. But it must've been misleading. Last cycle was 39 days and this one is heading that way too dspite my taking the soy (which seemed to do nothing!)

Oh well. Maybe next month. I'm going to not track dates or CM or anything. Its too stressful when you get it wrong.

Tamara160 · 03/11/2015 23:13

Thanks Anna. It's so frustrating when your cycle changes! I hope something happens either way for you soon, the limbo stage is awful! I may join you in the not tracking anything.

Lost, it's the only thing i can think of, other than my body being an arse, that would/ could have changed my cycle. It will be nice this month to not have that am i aren't i stress. But I'll still be thinking about it.

lostindubai · 07/11/2015 06:19

Anna I agree that tracking might make things more stressful. I hope next month you can relax a bit more and that it works for you!

Fingers crossed for you too for next time you try Tamara. Hopefully some more lovely people will join this thread too as it's so much nicer when there are a number of people going through these experiences together. I'll still be cheering you on from the sidelines of course! Grin

Thanks Lost Smile

It would be nice to hear from other people too , it's so nice to have support!

In a weird way, i'm quite enjoying this month with not stressing out about ovulating etc. My brain is having a break! Haha.
