Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

Ok, so remember that test I took a few days ago?
It was negative.
I look the digital bit off to keep for the other test, & this morning happened to glance at the inner, which still has the lines.
There is definitely two lines there!
I know you're not meant to read them after this long but what could that mean?

Bluepigoon · 17/08/2015 08:37

Reebok, that looks like it could be a second line, but it's so fuzzy it could be evaporation , do you have another test you can do to check? Good luck!

Mrs Hughes, I'd definitely do another test if you have one, but fingers crossed!
I've been giving opks a go this month as my cycle has been a bit confused since my mc and got a positive result last Thursday, but haven't had any natural signs like ewcm. The opk lines have been getting fainter again since then, but I'm not sure whether to just ignore them and assume I haven't ovulated yet.

MrsHughes25 · 17/08/2015 08:38

Baffled me with abbreviations there lol

Reebok · 17/08/2015 08:41

Yeh thanks blue I do have loads of Internet cheapies. Where is the line supposed to be? I thought it was meant to be closer to the control line. Will take one later. Feel like I'm at deaths door.

Tamara160 · 17/08/2015 09:16

I can see a line Reebok but I don't know where it should be i'm afraid. Try again later and see, fingers crossed though!

Oo MrsHughes! It sounds like you might be! I'd do another test to be sure! Fingers crossed!

I'm not sure what to suggest Blue, lots of people seem to be unsure of opks. Are you dtd to be sure anyway?

MrsHughes25 · 17/08/2015 09:23

But the test is was taken thursday?

DeccaMitford · 17/08/2015 09:28

Hi Reebok,

I've got tests like that too. I think the line is supposed to be closer to the control line, in the central section, the line you can see there I think is where the test panel ends iyswim. Sorry about that, I can totally empathise as I'm in exactly the same boat Sad

Reebok · 17/08/2015 09:33

Yeh I thought as much. To be honest I'm not bothered as I feel so unwell right now. Got a doc app today with the rubbish doc. Think I might have an ear or throat infection as both are in so much pain. On top of it got to find new childcare for LO as nursery has decided to close down in 6 weeks!!! Stressed does not even begin to explain how I feel right now!

Bluepigoon · 17/08/2015 09:34

Yep, dtd anyway :) was just hoping to work out when I ovulated so I could predict when AF is due, but I'll just wait and see what happens.

Tamara160 · 17/08/2015 09:34

It could be an evap line MrsHughes. I'd do another one to be sure. Hopefully you'll get 2 lines again!

MrsHughes25 · 17/08/2015 09:37

If my cycle has instantly returned, I wouldn't be due for AF til the weekend, surely it's too soon?

Annarose2014 · 17/08/2015 09:47

CD31 so AF will return sometime this week. I really don't get any good instinct tbh. I don't have any symptoms at all.

I almost wish AF was here so I could move on to next month! Cmon, hurry up!

Tamara160 · 17/08/2015 09:54

Ah ok, hang on until then and see. Hopefully AF won't appear!

Fingers crossed for you too Annarose!

MrsHughes25 · 17/08/2015 10:24

When is the earliest you can test?

Reebok · 17/08/2015 10:52

Tested again. Can't seem to drink much so figured may as well test now. It was similar to last one. Feel so nauseous and have almost thrown up a few times. At gp now so here's hoping he can give me antibiotics.

Bluepigoon · 17/08/2015 11:05

Poor you Reebok, good luck at the docs.

Mrs Hughes, it depends on the test, but most say max of 4 days before due date. Best to wait until AF is due though if you can.

Reebok · 17/08/2015 11:36

Thanks blue. Turns out I have an ear infection and have been put on antibiotics. Said to take paracetamol with ibuprofen but I have researched that ibuprofen shouldn't be taken when Ttc. In so much pain right now and I really want to take it but guess I shouldn't. Didn't want to mention to gp that I'm waiting on AF and am Ttc as he was a bit judgmental when I got pregnant last, saying I should have waited as LO is so young.

Bluepigoon · 17/08/2015 11:45

Wow, I can't believe he said that to you, it's really unprofessional of him to be so judgemental. Maybe just take paracetamolwithout the ibuprofen unless the pain gets really unbearable ?

MrsHughes25 · 17/08/2015 13:58

I'm going crazy thinking that I'm pregnant Confused

MrsHughes25 · 17/08/2015 17:20

Anyone know where I can get a first response early response test? X

applecatchers36 · 17/08/2015 19:02

Maybe a chemist?

MrsHughes25 · 17/08/2015 19:06

Super markets don't have them- boots did.
Now the proud owner of 3 lol x

MillieMoodle · 17/08/2015 19:24

Wow this thread moves quickly!

Tamara - not sure exactly when we're moving house, hopefully around the end of October. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly!

Reebok - sorry to hear you're still feeling rubbish, hope the antibiotics kick in soon and you start to feel better.

I'm now waiting for AF to clear off so DH and I can get back to it Wink
