Welcome birdie I'm so sorry to hear about all you have been through!

Sorry keys I think I misread your previous post ... Hopefully you'll start to get more positives on other tests as it's strange that frer are the only ones showing a positive. So confusing for you lovely, hope you are bearing up ok.

carrot sorry to hear about heavy period I hope it eases up in a few days. Does anyone know if I can expect the same sort of thing following a mc and d and c? I'm away with work this week and I just know if it's going to happen anytime it'll be then!

drifitng I'm with you in the Google thing, I'm terrible. How frustrating that ff is giving all this information and confusing you! I think you're right, in the God old days people just dtd for England and hoped for the best hehe!

disney fingers crossed it's early preg symptoms!

As far as partners go, I'm pretty lucky ... He's real supportive. Hasn't stopped him stropping when I've rejected his advances in recent weeks ... I hate that .. I feel anxious going to sleep! It isn't the same for them (not that it's an excuse to act like a douche!) but I think it's a bit more cut and dry, generally speaking.

I also understand totally the desperation to give existing dc(s) a sibling ... My dd would love having a baby brother or sister I just know it and as much as me and my sisters fell out, I loved having siblings!

Just tucking into a pile of ironing ... Accompanied by wine yay!

Tftpoo · 14/06/2015 19:54

I also have a large glass of wine on the go. Decided if I've got to wait a bit before trying again, I might as well drink (within sensible limits of course...although it only takes a sniff to feel a bit squiffy now).

I feel like I've entered a whole new world in the last week - a world of acronyms I never even knew existed and wish I didn't know existed. Lots of Sunday evening hugs to everyone (hope that's ok, I'm fairly new to posting here, are hugs allowed)?

keys27 · 14/06/2015 20:01

honey you got any AF symptoms hun? There was only a day between our d+c if I remember that right?
Yes my OH can be like that he says I reject him goes off in a strop but just sometimes you really don't feel like it they wouldn't survive an hour living in our bodies.
It is strange hun been reading loads ,(slaps own hand). Whenever tested before a bfp was the sa!e on every test never had this before so seems weird I have had a mmc and its happening. I honestly think it could be left over hormones but certain people think it should be so faint I have to squint which I don't its defo there. Best way is a blood test. I don't feel pregnant at all before I did so i know deep down. Just hope nithings been left in

Hehe enjoy tournaments wine :) try not to burn hubbys shirts ;). If blood tests come back negative I have a nice bottle or rose pinot gricio in my fridge my two favourite men followed close by Ben and jerry :).

keys27 · 14/06/2015 20:16

Hugs are defo allowed on this forum hun. Big hugs to you as well I honestly know how your feeling right now we all do I promise you it gets easier. X

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 14/06/2015 20:21

It would make sense that you don't ovulate until hcg reaches zero... Because, until your body reaches zero, it thinks it's pregnant....and your body wouldn't release an egg when pregnant...only when it know it's 'not' pregnant.
I've learned soooo much about my body of late, god damn Google! But sometimes it's good to learn...helps us understand Smile

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 14/06/2015 20:27

honey it can go either way...I had mmc followed a week later by erpc (d&c)
Got my af 28 days later bang on time, lucky I guess as most women can be waiting near two months for their first AF. Mine was heavy for two days (mine are usually lite) very crampy Angry only lasted 3 days though so not all bad! Everyone is different hun, it can be heavy, lite, long, short, painfull or non-painful...x

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 14/06/2015 20:30

Meant to say a "mmc followed by erpc a 'month' later"...

keys27 · 14/06/2015 20:34

Does make sensepaws will this mean no AF as well? I'm just thinking if this is old pregnancy hormone then not ovulated and therefore not expoecting my AF? You do learn so much itds really good tbh be ause I have two DD's God forbid it ever happens to them but I can last on my knowledge and also for my own sanitiy x

keys27 · 14/06/2015 20:38

Sorry was meant to say does this mean you don't get AF if your body still thinks its pregnant? I remember from a previous convo was said you can still get AF if not ovulated. X

Honey85 · 14/06/2015 21:59

No af symptoms at all keys but then I've not massively had those since my teens weirdly (not obvious anyway ... There are often times I come on and my head goes 'aaahhh that was why I was such a bitch the other day lol!). I normally have quite heavy periods for the first 2-3 days and they go quite quickly ... Dreading this one though, especially if I'm away. I do think I possibly ov'd at the end of the week, but I guess time will tell.

Thanks for the info though paws, I guess I'll just brace myself!

tft hugs are absolutely allowed, sending some your way! Enjoy your wine!

ThePug · 14/06/2015 22:21

Sorry not posted on here for a long time but wanted to say Honey I've just finished my first AF after erpc. My wtf cycle was 42 days with ov on cd 30 but af was no heavier than usual and finished after 5 days, which was normal length too. I too was panicking about it being super heavy as I was working away last week but it was fine. Worst bit was accidentally throwing a pad out of my handbag in front of colleagues and clients when getting my phone out though Blush I haven't used pads for years but had them with me as backup to mooncup just in case it was heavy Angry F-you post-mc uncertainty.

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 15/06/2015 01:20

keys yes annoyingly you still get AF even if you don't ovulate. AF is your body's way of shedding the old uterine lining (blood) if conception hasn't occurred....with or without ovulation xxx

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 15/06/2015 01:36

Just see you cycle as potting a plant you want to grow (baby you want to grow)
You wouldn't use old soil (old uterine lining)
You would use fresh soil to give it the best start (your body sheds the old lining to make a new one)

So wether you have ovulated or not, your body still needs to shed the old lining to make a fresh new one for further possible conception Smile

Took my last first response before the doctors was going to show her this mornings one first wee and request bloods. It was completely negativ. I am more relieved than upset or disappointed my opk is showing such a dark second line now I think I could possibly be ovulating :). At least I know its not a new pregnacy now otherwise the line would of come up darker than yesterday but there's no line now so I am not even going to say anything to the gp about that will request bloods to check hcg level and infection level.
Someone is due a bfp very soon I can feel it :).
If there's such a thing of a happy Monday guys hope you have a good one.

keys27 · 15/06/2015 07:29

paws thanks for the info hun it does really help you search these old posts and there like from 2006 so it nice for recent info I really don't have a clue about this stuff

CarrotVan · 15/06/2015 07:50

My first AF post MC is weird. Spotting on Friday, gushing/flooding on Saturday, light to medium on Sunday, then nothing overnight on Sunday.

Usually it's medium to heavy for 5 days then a couple of days of spotting to light.

Adventuregame · 15/06/2015 08:54

Morning All

So some of you know my story and I won't bore the rest of you by going over it again but main points are we weren't actively 'trying' before mc just 'seeing what happens'. After bfp I went into total panic and took the entire 12 weeks to get used to the idea and just as I started to get excited mmc hit !

We're quite chilled out about ttc again now (even tho I'll be 38 soon so really shouldn't dawdle) and I don't say that to annoy those who are desperate. BUT.....this weekend I had a really important moment I think ! I saw my friend and her 5 week old baby - had a cuddle and got him to fall asleep and I kept popping back to the buggy to check on him sleeping and I definitely felt proper broody for the first time ever I think ! I know most of you have felt that alot but it's quite new for me and a positive step towards ttc I think. Sorry if all that sounds stupid !!

Pug my cycle post erpc was same as you - 42 days which actually is the same as normal as I have extra long cycles.

Honey I think you asked a few posts back about how long cm lasts - I get mine for about a week before OV and it gets steadily more and more.

Someone asked about how long before bfn - I know it's different for everyone but I got my bfn 6 days after erpc on a tesco own brand test.

Because I had the erpc privately (long story, not really out of choice and insanely expensive) I was given a follow up scan 2 weeks later and told that all tissue had gone and lining etc completely healed and healthy. I have to say this totally put my mind at rest and I really think it should be offered on the nhs as well to avoid all the worry !

DisneyMillie · 15/06/2015 09:51

Just to let all you POAS addicts know frer were buy one get one free at boots today! It would have been bad economics not to get some?!

I'm a little disappointed today. I'm 10dpo and have been feeling super tired (first symptom last time) and nauseous the last two days so POAS this morning and completely starkly negative Sad

Guess it's just wait for the AF now and try again as I'd assume with FRER saying you can see from 6 days before that I'd have a faint line by now if I was going to get one?

CarrotVan · 15/06/2015 10:34

disney if you look at the stats on the info leaflet it's not that accurate that early. Try again in a few days

Tftpoo · 15/06/2015 10:37

We were a bit similar to you adventure, not actively trying, just seeing what happened and something happened very quickly! Took a few weeks to get used to the idea but then once I mc I knew I desperately, desperately wanted another baby and now I cannot stop thinking about how much I want another one to complete my family. Luckily DH is onboard but he doesn't want to try, try (if you know what I mean), just not not try. It's useful to know how long it took you to get a bfn after surgery, I had mine a week a go today and am trying to wait a bit longer before testing again. I wonder if you can get a scan privately to check everything's ok after surgery? It would reassure me to know everything's back to normal.

Sorry you got a bfn today disney. Could someone help me out with terminology? What does FRER stand for? I get that it's some kind of pg test but I've not heard of it before. Is it better than others? I never really thought about some tests being better than others but I guess that could account for the difference in price.

CarrotVan · 15/06/2015 10:40

First Response Early Result - a type of ultra sensitive pregnancy test

Tftpoo · 15/06/2015 10:51

Thanks carrot. It's a whole new world of acronyms, I feel a bit like I'm the new girl at school! I wonder if there's a ttc glossary anywhere?

CarrotVan · 15/06/2015 10:56

Can someone hit me? My period has stopped. It's usually about a week and pretty heavy but this one was 1 day spotting, 1 day tsunami, 1 day light to medium then nothing. I'm tired, I feel nauseous, I'm peeing like a crazy thing (not in a cystitis way) and now I've stupidly allowed the thought of breakthrough bleeding to enter my stressed little brain. I had a bfn at 12 dpo which was when the spotting started

I'm NOT pregnant but might I be?
