Today I'm 4 days past ovulation- I think. So that makes me due AF 8th May.

I'm 27, and first month ttc #1.

Just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat?

lod hope you're ok. Maybe a duvet day is in order?
fay I hope you're ok. Don't know your back story I'm afraid but congrats on the pregnancy. Do you think he's just shell shocked or is there more to it than that?

Yesterday OH said he has decided he's home this week so I'm going to have very little motivation for work.

Maybe the cramps are good. I've also had a few sharp stabs of lower back pain and this morning my boobs are feeling a little tender. Sore boobs are normal AF symptoms for me though so who knows. I know I'll suffer more this month because I ovulated so I don't want to put too much thought into any symptoms. Last ovulation month I basically suffered for three weeks - one week ovulation, one week build up and one week AF. It was hellish.

Gonequiet · 06/07/2015 09:17

Thanks lod DH was ?brilliant last night, I think it's because I like to know whatever happens I have a plan. It's him that wants the snip after 3 I would even consider 4 because I'm just crazy. We are both in our 20s so loads of time! Good idea not drowning LLOD, don't think he'd appreciate it! Hope all this is a good sign for you!

fay congratulations on the BFP, will DP come round do you think? Or is he adamant. Whatever happens we are here for you, your head must be all over the place!

Gonequiet · 06/07/2015 09:24

vap I fear he may send you away again but I think you need to go in with saying that you know +ve OPKs aren't always accurate and also you have been trying a long time not getting any younger. What and when is he going to intervene because the emotional turmoil is really having a negative impact on your life when you feel like you are getting no help and just feel like your treading water. I can't see how clomid would help now you are ovulating so I can't see you getting that.

chelle you sound like it's a tough cycle for you. It's amazing how much our hormones impact us, men have it so easy!

achm hope your ok. Any symptoms?

Don't think I've missed anything and if so sorry.

LastOneDancing · 06/07/2015 09:27

Faye! Congratulations on your pregnancy! But WTAF? What's gone on?? I thought he was on board? Shock

Vap0 · 06/07/2015 11:40

fay welcome back! Congratulations! I'm sure your dp will come around! Very exciting news Flowers

chelle good news on the symptoms!m fingers crossed for you!

lod any symptoms for you?

getting a little worried I'll be knocking around on here all on my own next month

never I'm bothered he will send me away too! At least this time I'm going in expecting to be sent away. I'll ask him about the likelihood of not ovulating even after a positive opk although he seems to poopar basically everything I read on here about cervical mucus, ovulation, herbal remedies etc. I will however find out from him (if he does send me away), what is the plan and when will we get moving with the plan. I want dates! I'm not expecting this to just happen on its own. I will ask about more blood tests and perhaps another sa for dp although that will be such a mission if it's anything like last time. I kind of don't mind being sent away as if I am then we will have a few more months of trying naturally but only if we don't succeed then we have a date with future procedures booked in.

I am getting worried about the ticking clock! If we don't conceive this month (meaning an April birthday) then I'll be 34 in April next year which is not a good state of affairs if we want 2 Hmm

DP is at the zoo today with work! Ok for some Envy

Faybelline · 06/07/2015 12:13

It was planned! It his his bloody idea!

Turns out he 'changed his mind' but did he not think to tell me??Shock

I've just been to the Drs this morning, they're not sure wether I'm 4 or 8 weeks because of the test showing so early so I'm booked in with the midwife on Friday!! Scary stuff!

Glad you're all ok and congrats to the bfps!!x

I think you have have the right attitude vap keep positive! And we will all still be here (although i think it won't be long till we need a new thread this one will be full soon)!

fay fingers crossed its 8 weeks and then you've almost skipped 4 weeks and be really flying by. How are you feeling? Well your DP was pretty stupid and sadly is just going to have to suck it up now. No point crying over spilt milk is there as im pretty certain you have no desire to Not keep the baby.

LastOneDancing · 06/07/2015 13:08

Vap, I had LLOD at 34. I went to see the dr recently (after mystery missing period) and he said cheerily 'oh your 36? Time for lots more babies if you want them then! Although I'm sure one more would be plenty hey?' while watching LLOD pull apart his desk Blush which made me feel better. He's a good dr and he's the baby expert in the practice.

I have also read that if you have one child by 35's then your body extends your fertility - as if it knows it's still making those hormones for a reason so keeps doing it IYKWIM? Allegedly it starts to drop again by about 38. Wish I could find a link to the study...

Anyway, I know you're not having an easy time getting pregnant with the first, so thats a bit 'yeah great but...' but I hope that takes a little pressure off that ticking clock for the second? It helped me relax a bit.

LastOneDancing · 06/07/2015 13:11

Faye Shock

So when did he tell you?! Did he just say it or was he suitably mortified? What did he think would happen if you kept having unprotected sex??

I'm sorry love, but he's been a right shit to you. I hope it's just a wobble Hmm and he grows up fast.

LastOneDancing · 06/07/2015 13:13

Sorry last post for a bit...

But so exciting - they might send you for a dating scan and you might see your kidney bean early Grin I'd guess it's way, way too early for a doppler.
Did you have a proper period last cycle?

Vap0 · 06/07/2015 14:02

fay I can't believe he was the one who wanted to try and now has cold feet! I'm sure he will warm up to the idea when he sees the 1st scan! He won't be able to help himself but love babyfay

lod it does kind of help but I can't help but think that it's been nearly 2 years now, who says it won't be another 2 years until we get caught, or longer? You just don't know which is the tough thing. I read about people on here who can't conceive and have no known fertility problems and they are at it for 4 years, 7 years even 1 had been trying for 9 years before eventually giving up and adopting. I know it is just as likely we could get caught in July too but the not knowing is crap!

lod what on earth is a Doppler?

Suggestion of name for a new thread.....

Hopeful Twaddle

I think that's how I describe our conversation once Grin any other suggestions?

Rickalicious · 06/07/2015 14:15

Hi all, have been reading this thread for a few weeks and I think you all sound so lovely, so I was wondering if I could join in?

I'm 31, TTC #1, cycle 1, get married in 3 weeks so started trying just before so i'd still be able to fit in my dress if we were lucky enough to catch straight away (fully expecting it to take a while though)!

Currently 4DPO, had cramping and back ache over the weekend but it's way too early for symptoms. I can tell I am going to be a crazy lady!!! Luckily have the wedding and honeymoon to distract me over the next few weeks!

Vap0 · 06/07/2015 14:37

Woo! rick
Welcome!!
So nice to have another newbie Grin

Are you as addicted to POAS like me some of us?
Have you bought any hpt's yet? If not and want to save some cash get some from Amazon now and they may arrive in time!

Will you be in time to do a synchronised POAS with lod and chelle? Will that be 9dpo? Maybe a little early? I'd still do it! haha

Congratulations on the wedding too Smile

Rickalicious · 06/07/2015 14:52

As it's my first cycle I haven't POAS as of yet, think i'll do that next weekend, I have a fairly shorty luteal phase of 10 days so AF is due next Monday! It is early though, maybe i'll wait until AF is truly late.

I have some ICs that came free with my BBT thermometer but I also slipped a couple of FRERs in the shopping this weekend in preparation :-)

I've been temping for a few months to get my head round my cycle so I could get straight on it, as it were ;-) I usually ovulate on CD19 but this month I didn't ovulate until CD25, typical that that happens when we start trying! Could be the stress of the wedding or the stress of trying itself that messed it up though.

At least if it doesn't happen this month then I can get drunk at my wedding!

Gonequiet · 06/07/2015 15:12

Welcome rick Grin

Like vap we are glad to have you here! Good luck for this month and typical you ovulate different this month. Congratulations on the wedding too I hope it goes well, I want to do mine all over again and it's only been 2 years!

vap is the queen of POAS although I think lod is not far behind. I think they are probably keeping FRER and the IC companies going with the amount they buy. I don't know what they will do with all their extra time once they get BFPs probably carry on poas for shits and giggles

chelle792 · 06/07/2015 16:30

Vap - I might be a little controversial here but my therapist works with people having "fertility issues". She has a belief that when things are worked through it makes it easier to conceive. Or something like that. She thinks I've ovulated this month cuz my body is more ready to bring a baby into the world. Please don't think I've spoken out of turn as ,I'm certainly not casting assertions or anything but it's another avenue to explore.

Welcome rick. You're welcome to do a syncro pee with me and lod ???? I'll be first to post Saturday cuz I'm an early bird! Think 6:30 and you won't be far off!!

Another day of hideous cramps!! Along with slight pms type pissed off attitude. AF or pg hormones? Who knows!!

Ps - I'm no longer the newbie SmileWinkStar

Rickalicious · 06/07/2015 17:04

Think I'll wait until Sunday if I do POAS this weekend. Will keep an eye on my temperature as I usually get a fall the day before my period and if it stays high I'll test.

I had cramping all weekend and lower back pain, eased off a bit now though. That's way too early for symptoms though isn't it, Damn my crazy lady brain!!!

Not entirely sure if it's our month anyway, have myself a very tired DP so only managed to DTD a few times, one of them 2 days before ovulation so fingers crossed!

chelle792 · 06/07/2015 17:09

Just a quick drop in...definite spotting today. 9dpo. Is that too early? Such bad cramps. We could wait till Sunday lod if rick wants to do a syncro pee? I can't wait though!!! Ahhh

Aceberry · 06/07/2015 17:10

Hi all!

I've been reading this thread and would like to come out of the shadows and join in!

My stats are:

I'm 34 TTC#3 Cycle 1 and 6 DPO (I think!) AF due 13 July but might test early!

Good luck everyone!

Gonequiet · 06/07/2015 17:29

Oh look we are getting all popular and busy again with every one saying hi Grin

Could be implantation bleeding chelle at that stage. Like lod could wait till sunday ... Having said that like I can wait for you all do to it on Sunday. get poas women!!!

Hi ace welcome. Fingers and toes crossed this month does well for you

LastOneDancing · 06/07/2015 17:52

Hi Ace and Rick. You are both so very welcome!

And if anyone else new is reading this now is a great time to come and say hello!

Is it the forthcoming trip to log-land that's made us popular? Everyone wants to go on the high ropes with a papoose don't they? Wink

chelle792 · 06/07/2015 17:58

Ahhh am I too early to poas tomorrow??!!
Welcome ace.

How old is everyone here? Can we have a roll call so I can refresh?

Me - 28 ttc #1. Officially cycle 1 but unofficially... Umm.... Maybe cycle 5?

Vap0 · 06/07/2015 18:54

Ooh chelle sounds very promising! Timing sounds right too! I would so badly be POAS tomorrow morning if I was you BUT don't be too disheartened it it is negative as it takes time for the hormone to build! Ooh! Get a pic up ASAP if you do Grin

When you say your therapist works through.... Do you mean talks through?

Welcome ace
I can't believe it! 2 newbies in a day!

Feeling slight relief that I won't be on my own next month now! Not that I'm wishing bfn's on anyone but if everyone had a bfp this month it think this would be the luckiest thread ever!

LastOneDancing · 06/07/2015 19:27

Errrrmmm excuse me Quiet! I may obsessively POAOPK at tge start of each cycle but I am not one to test willy-nilly!! I only tested when I was three/six/eight days late last cycle!
You need to think about name changing back m'lady!

Humph.

Ah just test chelle. We haven't had a live POAS for ages. Don't worry about the synchro pee we planned ages ago for which I ordered a FRER special Hmm

Grin
Aceberry · 06/07/2015 19:42

Thanks for the welcome!
Grin
chelle maybe do a cheeky early test!

I have a load of IC to but keeping my CB for AF day (yes, madness, I know I know)

Anyone else testing soon?
