Anyone else 4dpo?

Today I'm 4 days past ovulation- I think. So that makes me due AF 8th May.

I'm 27, and first month ttc #1.

Just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat?

Talking of the snip, we were trying after snip and snip reversal, so I thought our chances would be pretty low. Over the moon to be booked in to see the doc tomorrow!! Can anyone with a DD or DS fill me in on what will happen?? I haven't got a clue and I hate not knowing what to expect at the docs!! Thanks!

No Vap TTC about 6 months, LLOD is 14m. I came off contraception 6 months before I got pregnant and never went back on contraception when he was born as I was fully breastfeeding. Then we decided to TTC when my periods came back in January. So if we are lucky and I get pregnant again it will be another 10 months before I need to think about it, so in total 3 and a bit years!

My first appointment was my booking app with the midwife. I didn't see a dr.
She did height/ weight/ blood pressure... Maybe a wee test? Then a load of health and lifestyle questions. Prepare to have your eyes opened - 'do you know who the father is?'; 'is the father a blood relative?'; 'do you sniff glue'

I'll be honest - I found it a bit of an anti-climax. It was very business like. I know the NHS is overstretched and they have to get you in and out ASAP but nobody said congrats (see, precious pregnant LOD!) and it was a bit meh. I got lots of leaflets and my 'green book' though and thats quite interesting.

I got PO'd though because she spelled DH name wrong on it and her writing was messy Oh the things that used to bother me... funny.

When I went to the sex clinic for smear, etc the lady said to me 'have you been having sex with men who may have had unprotected sex with other men". I was like "woah...!!" But then realised that I probably was cuz the guy I was seeing used to do escorting. He wasn't ever anything serious and thank goodness he's long gone now! I'm not mental, honest

I once went on a few dates with a guy who turned out to have done escorting too chelle, but just old ladies apparently We never slept together - it didn't last more than a couple of dates cos he had serious issues, a lot of which stemmed from his previous employment I think.

But yeah, the questions open your eyes to some of the things that go on that I'd never even considered.

Oh man I'm bored and tired today (not at work and LLOD is napping).

I'm contemplating screaming. Apparently my next appointment they are in capable of booking at the moment. So it's ok just tell me I might have lost the baby but just leave me waiting for another 5 weeks. Yes that's fine why wouldn't it be

Is there the option of a private scan where you are? Or would that be too traumatic if it was bad news?

If there is an option i have no idea about it as the healthcare is all through kinda insurance (very complicated) so it all kind of is private! and now it's a Friday afternoon so everyone has buggered off home and the wait continues till Monday to see if I can get through to anyone. The worst bit is I think the General bad news of it I can cope with and even this wait I know the reason behind it and that's fine! But 5 weeks?!!! If all ok I'll be 14week so that's a complete miss of my 12 week scan too!

Have you googled 'prenatal scans in the country you are in' ? it might pop up some expat mum-forums where people could advise how to get the ball rolling?

It seems very odd that they're making you wait so long particularly if there's a potential issue could it be your dr is just crap? Is a second opinion possible? Or booking direct with a gyno if you've previously seen a GP?

Sorry - im being a man and trying to find practical solutions I abhor incompetence when people are in limbo.

The hairdresser friend dyed my hair green then in an attempt to recover things, bleached it peach BTW. It was meant to be going blonde to brown. And I was starting a new job a week later. Awful.

It's just the information hasn't been inputted right and I have been passed from pillow to post. However since earlier message I have managed to get hold of someone who ??although can't do anything about it today said she should be able to bring it foreward a few week and will set to next week and be in touch! Feels good to know at least someone is on the job for me.

Thankyou lod. That sounds awful. I'm lucky with my (stb)MIL, she's pretty awesome. It'll make life a little easier if she does do it. OH has an obsession with guitars (when we moved in together he told me a few, i recently found out that a few means thirteen god help me) and he's really upset with how the cleaners have been treating them (think guitar left on sofa with my massive clumsy dog plodding around).

OH has gone out for a few hours for work and I've finished for the day. Too hot for the garden so now bored! He's spent the day decorating trashing the kitchen and assures me he'll clean up properly when he gets home so and for me for now

I'm sat with a nice cuppa after accidently smashing OH's coffee pot over his newly painted wall. Luckily really not finding it hot. My house is a cool 14 degrees but my garden says 34

Just got back from the doctor. He filled a form in and I gave it to reception. All very anti climax and boring!

Nope, no test, just checked my heart, told me to take folic acid and said I'd have a midwife appointment in 4 weeks when I'm 8 weeks. Very dull!

Just had a bit of a disagreement with DP who is now telling me to expect the Dr to send me away again to "just keep trying" because in reality we will have only been trying for 5 months by then if you count the actual ovulation months. He reckons it's all my own fault because I was on the injection too long.

Wonderful, he has now finally told me what he is actually thinking! Even if it is totally unfair, at least I know. I just can't believe he can think this way when all I have done is protect him from problems by being on the Depo. Hindsight is a wonderful thing! Maybe I should have stopped when we 1st met? But I'm not that irresponsible! Ooh! I'm cross now. As if this week could get any worse??!!

I informed him any future contraception is his domain and I will never take anything EVER again.

vap hope you're ok. Ironic that he is saying that being responsible was a bad thing. I'm still wondering whether he's deep down worried and is just picking something to blame. It's awesome that you're ovulating and I'm pretty sure that within 12 months 80% of couples conceive. It's a long road but chin up xx

I'm pretty addicted to this thread but am off into London today because my friend wants to go to wireless festival for her birthday. We are going to be roasted!!

Strangely, OH ordered the internet cheapie pregnancy tests for me. 30 for £3.75. Bargain! Annoying but they aren't due to arrive until the 13th or something so going to use a digital one that I have lurking somewhere. He speculated about whether I'd test positive Saturday and then we would end up with thirty surplus tests!!

I'm hopeful because I'm limited on chances. I ovulated Jan and now June. It's my best chance yet. Hence why I'm here for a chat

never I'm sorry to hear they are so crap at scans etc where you are! Hope you can get sorted next week like they say. I can't imagine the stress or not knowing!

After 4 and a half hours yesterday to do a 2hr 10 min journey I couldn't face driving a further 2 hours north (most likely would have been a lot more as it was a Friday) so stayed at my mums and DP cancelled his night out. We went out for dinner and a few drinks but not before seeing my (now 7 & 1/2 week old) baby niece! Where has the time gone?! I want one of those!
Supposed to be 2hours north of here at 10am to start the activities but just can't be bothered to get out of bed after this week! Also, the lot who are there don't enjoy much of a drink so not sure how much fun it will be. It is a go ape thing this morning and then a spa thing this afternoon. Really should get out of bed!!

So lod and chelle next weekend it is - pee sticks at the ready!

chelle have you only ovulated twice in the last 6 months ?
I know what that's like! Have you been to your Dr? You sound like an ideal candidate for Clomid!

What do people think then?
Is DP right that the Dr will send me away again because although it will be 25 months I told him a little fib that my injection finished earlier than it did - really 22 months in reality with only 5 months of ovulation it is still too soon for them to help me?
Or do you think they will offer me Clomid?
Or something else?
Tell me what you think, not what you think I want to hear, honest opinions please?
All this waiting again for answers! Never stops does it?!
