Today I'm 4 days past ovulation- I think. So that makes me due AF 8th May.

I'm 27, and first month ttc #1.

Just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat?

Men in general just don't get it. Their stomach doesn't hurt when they see a baby and they don't feel like they've been kicked in the ribs when another friend announces their pregnancy. Your DH hasn't had his hopes shattered 22 times or had to go through 22 two-week tortures.

Of couse people are going through worse, but by that logic nobody should be happy unless they'd win the lottery. Your sadness is completely normal and natural and it's okay to want a big cry and some comfort x

You know a lot of his brushing off could be because he can't do anything practical to make you feel beter? Men don't like it (generalising massively) if a whack with a hammer won't fix it. I think they feel a bit powerless.

Thanks lod, you've made me feel a little better. You're right, he doesn't like situations that can't be fixed practically. Although when I pointed out the 2 new borns today on FB and asked why everyone else finds this all so easy. His very helpful response "well, they weren't on that injection for 10 years were they?". Well, wonderful, thanks for that kick in the teeth. There I was trying to do what was right by not having an accidental pregnancy, not trapping him, not putting us in a financially insecure position and at no point in all of this did he suggest I should stop or that he would take contraception into his own hands.

Hey vap it's ok to be down and to let it all out. I can only imagine how it all must feel, I don't think he meant the injection as a negative way just in a way of explaining! Men seek incapable of just listening, they want to solve or find reason (again another massive generalisation).

Fertile dates depending on if this spotting gets heavier today or tomorrow will be 11-16 July or 12-17 July.

Words of wisdom from you lot?? If the fertile dates were 11-16th. What days would you dtd? What days would you "clear the tubes" before commencing too?

If we were lucky this cycle it would mean a due date of early April!

never I'm sorry you have to wait until next Friday now for your scan. Another week wondering. Maybe plan something nice for a couple of weekends time so you have something to look forward to.

Quiet I had forgotten that the PITA bride was pregnant! Even more now.

So much to read but just wanted to share a facebook babybomb. It was actually amazing and made me smile. Something along the lines of 'my miracle is now x months old and after three years of heartache and waiting I cherish every minute with my baby' I've changed and paraphrased for privacy x

chelle yes pregnant she was a PITA to vap going on about the pregnancy and also was very rude when after all this only inviting vap to the night do and then when vap said no she went crazy bridezilla. I won't say she had it coming but she had it coming

lod tut tut tut but I like your tactics. I'm a SAHM with having the two young girls but I'd love to go to an office with air con right now. I can't remember when I was last in a country in the high 30s even on my holidays. I'm really struggling especially with all the pregnancy stuff. I could do with a nice cold alcoholic drink!

Do you think that 'injection for 10 years' comment was meant to make you feel better? As in, it's not you, it's the Depo?
It's true though, men take FA responsibility for contraception most the time and we as women get stuck with the consequences - unplanned pregnancies, trouble conceiving, weight gain, thrombosis etc.
I'd ask why the pharmaceutical companies aren't working harder on a male oral contraceptive but a) men wouldn't like the thought of it b) would lie that they're on it to get women in the sack c) would be total crap at taking it and d) it's a vile patriarchal world.

Ok. Heres my plan... if I have signs that I'm pregnant I will test at 12dpo (Sat 11th). If I'm not feeling it I will wait until I'm 3 days late liar so Thu 16th. DH wants me to wait as he feels early testing gives him an extra week of pregnant wife anxiety. Poor lamb.

Yes she is 6 months gone! She's now all over FB again talking about where to go on a honeymoon. It will all be about how amazing her life is again very soon!

I'm trying to be good now and do a bit of a diet not really, I've eaten 2 lolly pops today as when I go back to the dr he wants me to be 3lbs lighter than I am now! Not sure why because I'm already under the prescribed bmi but don't want to give him any excuse to send me away! I'm also going to get my fat arse back into gear and start my 10,000 steps again as of today!! So for that reason never I'm with you on the wagon (until Friday anyway)!

I have sent DP a screenshot from my calendar telling him to get himself prepared for the green! I've had the weight on my shoulders about this for too long now! He can take responsibility for it too now! Why should it always be me getting him in the mood and to comply even when I don't really want to do on a boiling hot Thursday evening after a 12 hr day in the car with a headache after cooking dinner either. So this time it's all about shared responsibility!

That made me laugh lod hope the bras not too uncomfortable after you burnt it. I think after DC3 DH will get the snip and that's fine by him as ive told him it's his decision. If not I may go on the dreaded DEPO (as feritily problems won't be an issue when I don't want to conceive).

I know it's easier said than done vap but try relax on the dtd days! I think that every day or every other day will work but you need the element of luck! I think if DP doesn't want to do it then as long as you get some in around the all important date you will be ok! I saw that as we get BBC news that it was 36! Impressive especially for the UK but then worse as the UK is not made for that kind of weather! We are getting close to the 40 mark and may actually reach it in the next day or two but then it goes down to high 20s early 30s and that I like! I'm enjoying my last summer abroad before I get back to the lovely UK summer next year. We've also said due to DC3 (fingers crossed) that we will holiday in England too next year! so it's going to be very different.
