Today I'm 4 days past ovulation- I think. So that makes me due AF 8th May.

I'm 27, and first month ttc #1.

Just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat?

Hello Alll!
Home now, it's been a great trip, excellent distraction from everything. Arrived home last night and met my new niece, totally gorgeous! And DP secured himself a job for September yesterday so all celebrations last night and this weekend.
Wedding tomorrow! Should be a good one
Fertile period starts Monday so will start poas again next week and crossing every finger and toe for a positive test!
LOD great news about your opks arriving, when will you start testing?
Where is everyone else up to?

never did you ovulate? And more importantly did you manage to dtd at the correct time?
The doc said to me on Monday that once you get a positive test you are too late to dtd. He said you are far more likely to get pregnant if you dtd the day before a positive test. I'm a little confused about that though as He also said that once you have your surge you ovulate 2 days after.
Well whatever the situation we will be starting dtd every other day starting from today until I get my hopefully positive test and after that every day. DP is raring to go...

Good luck vap, that all sounds really positive for you! Congrats to DP, have you decided on private or not? Or are going to wait and see if you ovulate this month (which fingers crossed you will).

Well I ovulated weds or thurs and dtd mon, tues and yesterday so fingers crossed (sorry if tmi ) so now I'm just in the waiting period!

The surge is when you get a positive opk reading. Then ovulation happens about 3 days after - according to the dr.
I can't remember now if you were temping or poas or just using an app on your phone?

Ahh I see. Just using apps and cm plus I'm lucky that im 99% of the time 28day like clock work everything pretty regular so makes it a bit nicer! Nope DH really doesn't want to use the OPKs so ive said we won't for a few months but fingers crossed it doesn't take that long x

According to the not so reliable app on my phone today I am in my 1st day of my 6 day fertile window with expected ovulation on Friday 22nd.
So we dtd last night to make sure we have fresh swimmers for Tuesday. Away tonight! Damn! But home for the rest of the week! Plans are to dtd Tuesday through to Sunday in the hope we catch an egg... If in fact there is one released!
Poas this morning with my 1st opk of the month and a very very faint line shown, not expecting a strong line until wed or Thursday I don't think, if I get one at all.

Fingers crossed Vap that you do ovulate and that all the good timing for dtd works I know sometimes you can miss the ovulation on the OPKs so fingers crossed you ovulate whatever it says!

I'm 5/6 Dpo so just in the waiting game at the mo. Fingers crossed. Feel much more confident this time though and optimistic. still not sure when I will test.

Thanks. Only time will tell I suppose. Well AF is due 27/28 so hoping to hold out until maybe 28 but not sure. How many Dpo will you wait for?

Well, you hear of people getting positives at 7dpo. I don't know how likely it would show up at 7dpo though. I think I'll be testing at 6dpo as have a wedding on that day, unless I decide to drive and then I'll wait until 7dpo as have a boozy birthday bash (for my 3 year old niece) on day 7.
So many parties, weddings and reasons to drink! So difficult!
This is of course all academic if I don't ovulate...
I suppose the question is how many tests do you have...?
And how disappointed you will be if it is negative...?

Because I'm a muppet I forgot to pick up any extra tests when back in the UK so I only have 2 which makes me wonder whether to wait as long as possible! Don't think I'll be too dissappointed as I know how inaccurate they can be early but yet I think if rather wait so if it's negative I believe it! Oh so many decisions to make!

We have no big boozy bashes now until August so easy to avoid. Thankfully I am not a big drinker so it makes things easy. although I did have a few at a wedding last weekend as I knew I was safe then!

I don't think I'd bother checking if I didn't have so many evenings out. So that's probably in your favour, good luck holding out! I think if I did ovulate this week I would stop drinking just in case. I couldn't live with myself if I miscarried, I'd blame having a drink especially after so long trying.

Not much to add I'm afraid, this 8s fertile week but I suspect not much action will be occurring due to one thing and another shame as DH and I had a big talk and feels like we are both properly on board.

It is what it is. But I'm still lurking you all on this thread as I feel sorry for myself Fingers crossed firmly for you never and really hope you get your positive OPK Vap.

I poas again and still a very faint line. Tiny bit of ewcm today though. How long does ewcm last for? Does anyone know? The app on my phone says it means ovulation is imminent or already been and gone but I'm not expecting it until Friday or Saturday. Surely ewcm lasts for longer than a day? If not we may have missed our window again with me being away

Thanks vap but It's LOD missing this month however LOD you never know thinking you can't this month might make you more relaxed and get a surprise at the end of the month!

Vap is it tonight or yesterday you were away? I think ewcm can last a couple of days and can mean anything from imminent to the next day or two. Don't lose hope. Even If it's off take it as a good sign that your amazing little body is back ovulating all by itself!
