Today I'm 4 days past ovulation- I think. So that makes me due AF 8th May.

I'm 27, and first month ttc #1.

Just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat?

P.s I'm apparently now in my most fertile window!

I'm taking in questions as my mind goes totally blank when I'm in front of a doctor. Any ideas to add to the list? I'm not telling him I took soy last month and it helped me ovulate as I don't want to risk him giving me clomid. Any additions would be great.....?

1. Share with me and explain all test results
2. 1 follicle was mentioned on the scan, was there only 1 or more? I hear people usually have double figures of follicles, will clomid help this?
3. Can I have follicular tracking and blood tests when taking clomid?
4. What are the success rates of clomid?
5. Is there anything I can do to improve my chances of success?
6. How long after a positive opk will I actually ovulate?
7. Best days to dtd on clomid?
8. AF is very light and lasts only 2.5-3 days, is this ok?
9. No CM, what would you suggest we use to assist? Any prescription?

10. No ovulation 11. Fatigue at all times of the month apart from when AF is here, any suggestions? 12. If it doesn't work what is the next step? What is the time scale? 13. DP loves hot baths and sits with a laptop on his knee, not ideal I know, what days should he absolutely avoid this?

Looking at your list there isn't anything I can think of to add, as I don't have any real knowledge about clomid. I know you've probably researched it lots as well, all I can think of it:

1. are their any specific side effects for this?
2. is there anything like a set time of day to take it, foods to eat etc to make it more successful?
3. are their any other options now and if so why is clomid better for me than them?
4. how often will I see you once I start taking it?

Not sure if anything else & you may alrwady know all the answers to these so may be useless but thought I'd try.

Very disappointing!
DP came with me and I told him I wasn't going to say anything about the soy or ovulation but he said I really should just in case.
So I did and that put the doc totally on the back foot and wouldn't give me clomid.
I knew I should have kept my mouth shut.
I told him that with the soy I ovulated but he said it was not because of the soy, it was a coincidence.
He said soy is actually an estrogen based pill and if anything will disrupt if not totally stop normal ovulation.
Not sure if I believe this overly positive doctor, last time he said he saw a follicle, now he is backtracking and said he saw what could have been a follicle however it could have possibly not been.
So now it's back to a waiting game of 3 more months! No more appointments until I've had 3 months of non ovulation.
Sounds like I'm being punished for trying something...
Wish I'd stuck to my guns and said nothing. I knew this would happen.
So here's to waiting until August (at the earliest) to be seen again.
Hopefully he is right and actually I will just ovulate on my own now.
Maybe my body is finally back to normal after the depo injection. I'm not convinced though. So now in a quandary, I'm going to have this cycle and take nothing and see what happens, I'm expecting nothing. And if no ovulation do I try soy again or listen to what he said and leave it???
I think if I don't ovulate this month I'll explore the private route and DP just has to lump it, he'd best dust off his wallet in preparation (after all we wouldn't be paying if he hadn't changed the plans) I'm sure the private doctor would give me clomid, or maybe not?

On a positive note DP's SA came back totally normal although he wouldn't show us the results or tell us the figures?
He also said that with 1 ovulation the chances of becoming pregnant are 20%.
He said that once I start the clomid route they do 6 rounds of clomid and then it is straight to ivf and once you start that then there is no coming off the conveyer belt, he feels that because I ovulated "naturally" then they won't do anything for me until it doesn't happen again for 3 months. Phew!
I asked about CM and he said he has no interest in that at all and it has very little to do with conception. He said none at all is not a problem.
I forgot to ask him about the length of my periods.
Frustrating!
So let's just wait and see what happens this month with the opk's, if better stock up as I'm in it for the long haul.....

Just think that maybe the doctor is right and that you did actually ovulate all by yourself (woo go team!) and the evil depo is finally out of your system!

Fingers crossed for the next month! & maybe you won't ever need to go clomid! But if you do think you know exactly what comes after that and the process!

What's DP say about it all? How are you feeling?

I'm pissed off and have to put a smile on my face and entertain clients tonight and for the next 3 days.
I think DP is regretting it now after I told him the costs of the consultation, prescription and scans.
I don't think he understands the emotional toll it's taking.
All I can do is hope for the best this month.
I'll eat my hat if I ovulate this month!

I suppose I'm lucky to have such a distraction...

I don't think men often do, it's not their body and I also think they don't think about it as much as we do! Are you going to go private then or wait out till August?

Totally agree with Nev though - best case scenario the Dr is right and you ovulate again this month and don't need clomid or any treatments and you have to eat your hat (do you wear a hat?!) Absolutely everything tightly crossed for this.

Which way are you leaning with continuing to take the soy?

No soy this month! Calling the dr's bluff! Let's see what happens...
Hopefully natural ovulation.
If nothing will probably use soy again next month and see what happens.
Will then decide whether to go private.
With DP's impending lost job (end of August) not good timing but I've waited too long for this!
I don't think the Dr understands.... He probably has his own brood at home waiting for him and I'm quickly approaching 35 with no DC and when I hit 35 help is minimised so need to get things moving now!
So pissed off!

I really hope the doctor is right and you manage to have the natural ovulation. I think taking a month off the soy to see is a good idea!

I know its hard but try not to get too down about another few months (where it might just happen), try thinking positive! I am sure as you have already started the process with the doctor and they have said they will start you on clomid in August then your age shouldn't affect what help you get! Arent you off to Rome soon? If you do ovulate when do you think it may be?

Aww bless you charms. I had sickness with both mine, my first I was often a bit sick but that was it. My second I just felt sick constantly and never was! Awful! So I hope the sickness doesn't bother you too much! Have you booked a midwife appt yet?

I turned into the size of house with my two! So I have no hope for whenever I fall pregnant again! & indeed I am it's today or tomorrow. But yesterday I had sore boobs and stomach ache...hmmm! So I think today! DH goes away tomorrow (again)! Story of my life!
