Well, I thouht I'd better start this thread as I am CD1 of my 6th cycle of trying for our very precious first baby. This is going to be a lucky and positive thread, I can feel it so I'm laying down the babydust now so that as you join me, you can collect your dose .

For those who join me, what are you doing differently this cycle?

endlesslove · 02/12/2006 20:29

Thanks Honeyapple. Your post has inspired me somewhat, you must have gone through so much with the car crash and you must have worried no end. I am so pleased everything is well from what could have been quite the opposite.

Does anyone know if stress plays a role in miscarriage? Could the egg and sperm meet and concieve and then stress make it not stick?

xx

babyfettle · 02/12/2006 21:02

Hi All

Don't feel embarrassed Ready - perhaps I was testing too early for my next cycle in February Sorry have to remain slightly positive when you have cycles as long as mine!

Feeling better this evening - probably as I've had a couple of glasses of wine without feeling guilty!

MrsMJ - so sorry that you think AF has come. For some reason I was so positive for you this time around, but then if you've got a 2nd chance this month that's great! [BTW I got pg with DD after TTC for 2 years, 6 weeks after starting a new job!! - although in my case, it was a more stressful one!] You've made me feel like a real old married - we celebrated 5 years in August!

MrsPolly - I know the others have said it, but your hormones will be all over the place if you are not getting enough sleep - I should know DD doesn't sleep very well. But I also know how stressful it is thinking and planning leaving a job. I really don't envy you that decision. Hope you have a relaxing weekend to make up for it. Take care of yourself

Impatience - when first pg with DD, I actually noticed bleeding after BD-ing [sorry TMI], it tended to be brown light spotting, but had some days of heavier red bleeding. I really can't remember whether I had cramps - it was 3 years ago! When I was about 5 weeks pg, I had some more heavier bleeding, with some very bright red blood, that scared the pants off me - but luckily a couple of scans over the next couple of weeks showed a healthy heartbeat. [wasn't so lucky when I started bleeding in pg earlier this year, but it was around 9wks when I mc] HTH

Hello to everyone I've not mentioned - I think I've gone on too much anyway.

take care all - happy Sunday - Advent Sunday!! I love Christmas and I want a festive icon Will that do?!

MadameButterfly · 02/12/2006 21:21

Hi all,

I shall bow out of this thread now as AF arrived this morning.

Good luck to everyone else on here though, I hope Father Christmas is good to you all.

Impatience · 02/12/2006 21:59

Sorry to hear about af, MadameB. x

Thanks for the bleeding info, B'fettle!

I do think this is af. Feeling really pretty crampy. Might do an ultra sensitive test in the morning just be shut myself up. Feel ok, a bit miffed but not as miserable as other months. Hope others under the af cloud are also keeping your chins up, or deciding to just go with the misery if it's upon you and look after yourselves xx

MrsPolly · 02/12/2006 22:35

Evening all

thank you so much babyfettle and Ready and others for talking sense to me. You are right I am overtired and will be feeling a whole lot better after a good nights sleep, even if AF does turn up tomorrow as i guess it will.

RudolphsReady - love the name!! now I need one too, hmmmm not sure what.

Lovelybird let us know how you get on - I'd suggest you test in the morning - but (speaking from experience as an obsessive line spotter) i wouldn't read too much into faint lines Good luck chick.

MadammeB - sorry to hear that, thinking of you.

Night-night and take care all

Beccarolloveragain · 03/12/2006 00:09

My update....

I am a day late, no sign of AF although did have a little bit of cramping earlier that had me thinking uh oh but it has gone now.

No spotting (except the tiniest streak of red in CM yesterday, as thin as a piece of thread) which I usually have for day or so before AF.

And just now, and for about the last hour I feel sick BUT that may be cos Im so tired.

Boobs are sore but often are in teh run up to AF

sooooooooooooooooooo.....its still very much in the air.

Eeeeek!! just realised that im not supposed to be symptom spotting!! sorry!!

Im really sad to see AF for some of you today Hope your feeling ok

lovelybird · 03/12/2006 07:53

DH went to supermarkt last night and bought a clearblue test (don't think it' a digital one just the normal one).
Did one test last night as i'm too impatient and it was more BFN than BFP, did one this morning and it's more BFP. The line going across is dark, and there is faint line going down, it is faint but it's def there. Still no AF and boobs are killing me, which could be a symptom of either I guess.
If still no AF aftr a few more days i'll do another test. It's only about 14dpo so don't know what to think now.

snowydays · 03/12/2006 09:59

Lovelybird - A line is a line.... OOOOH! I'm excited for you.

Take things easy for a bit - we are all thinking of you
Sx

snowydays · 03/12/2006 10:05

Surely MrsPolly has to become MrsHolly?

snowydays · 03/12/2006 10:11

Becca, Impatience & MrsP

Hang in there! When are you planning to sneek a peak at a pee stick?

Anyone else due af / test in the next few days?

My temperature chart is all over the place thsi month - so no idea whether I've ovulated or not... ho-hum

MrsMcJnr · 03/12/2006 10:17

Lovelybird - a line is a line, I agree with the Snowydays, keep testing but I think we've got our first December BFP [gron] [gron] .

OP posts:
snowydays · 03/12/2006 10:18

I'm obviously not properly awake - sorry I'm being so bitty with my posts.

Endlesslove: Try not to stress yourself out about stress! I believe m/c are generally related to problems with the embryo - rather than something you can control or influence with stress, vigourous activities etc. There are many girls/women very stressed about being pregnant when they don't want to be... yet still the preganacy sticks. Try to think positively - maybe treat yourself to something you find relaxing (a massage, bath, yoga, facial etc)
Sx

snowydays · 03/12/2006 10:19

Hi MrsMcJnr - how are you feeling today?

Impatience · 03/12/2006 10:28

Lovelybird, sounds like a bfp to me! Congratulations

Becca, sounds promising - keep us posted!

Definately af for me. Temp down, so have stopped kidding myself that I might be pg. Oh well.

MrsMcClaus · 03/12/2006 10:49

wonder what [gron] means sorry Lovelybird!

How do you like my festive name?!

MrsPolly/MrsHolly! I tried to send you a private message. I thought I might be able to help you on the career front but MN said you won't accept messages if you change your settings, I'll re-send it to you Hope you enjoyed getting your Christmas decorations!

Snowydays - loving your festive name, thank you so much for all your support and kind words. I was recalling ZW saying that about reflection and quiet time too.

Thank you Babymadwithabump still so delighted for you, how are you feeling and when are you due?

Rudolph'sReady - I like it! so glad to have you back!

Endless - sorry to hear you are down, sending you big hugs. Hope AF stays away. I'll be thinking of you on 9/12. Hope you had a good time at the cinema

Oh Impatience - hope you are ok. You sound a bit like me, I cannot really be sure AF has arrived really but I keep telling myself it has to end the waiting agony. I'm going to do a new thread on what's going on to see what people think, would love your view.

Honeyapple - so awful about that car crash, so glad you and your baby were ok

Babyfettle - hello and thank you

MadameButterfly - don't go, you can't be far off a Dec AF?! stay with us for now!!

Becca - sounding good! fingers crossed!

RudolphsREADY · 03/12/2006 11:12

Sleigh bells ring are you listening?? In the lane, Lovelybird's BFP is glistening grin] or should that be [gron]? I know it doesn't quite scan and my music teacher will be turning in her grave, but I wanted to congratulate in a festive way. I woke up this morning feeling all festive and now I see the first December BFP and it has given me hope (probably foolish hope!)

Love the name MrMcClaus and Snowydays (shamefully I had to think about Snowy to remember Sunshine it's more a sleight on my stupidity and not your good self Think MrsHolly is cool too, are you going to go for it? Come on everyone get festive I can't really take credit for my name (not while FrostyFloss is watching )

Ok... while I was asleep last night, a Yuletide Fairy must have crept in and sprinkled me (well doused me perhaps) is festive spirit dust!!

How is MrMcClaus doing? Will he be ready to deliver presents soon??? Hope he is getting better.

Babyfettle I am still laughing at you testing early for feb. Sorry again about that!

Becca - Keep us posted chick!!!

Anyone testing today??

RudolphsREADY · 03/12/2006 11:14

Honestly!! I really need to start previewing my posts!! They are riddled with errors, missed brackets and fullstops. You wouldn't think I had an A Level in English. OH! The shame

MrsMcClaus · 03/12/2006 11:25

Ready - you are on great form!! MrMcClaus felt alot better yesterday (hence the BD ] but that took a lot out of him (should I re-phrase that!) so it may well have been too soon for that!

RudolphsREADY · 03/12/2006 11:39

Oh yes, silly me, I knew I had read that there was some BDing going on... LOL at taking a lot out of him. No need to rephrase, says it all perfectly

I am so desperate for the festive icons, I may have a heart attack when I see them for the first time.

Shall I tell you all a secret... I think I have thrown myself into being festive so soon because I am desperately trying not to think about AF next weekend!!!!

RudolphsREADY · 03/12/2006 11:41

MadameButterfly... because AF was so early in the month (hugs) does that mean you are still in with a shout for a BFP in December?? If so, don't you go anywhere!!!!

MadameButterfly · 03/12/2006 11:52

Morning Ladies,

You have persuaded to stay.

Looks like I have a28 day cycle so I could still get a BFP in december (next AF or BFP due 30th).

Good luck to everyone testing this week.

Congrats to LOvelyBird on the BFP.

RudolphsREADY · 03/12/2006 11:55

Yay!! Stay and keep the sleigh warm with us, and that BFP on NewYearsEve would be amazing wouldn't it!! What a way to start 2007!!! OOOh I so hope that's how it works out for you!

BabymadwithBump · 03/12/2006 12:44

MrsMcClaus LOL, LOVE it. I'm fine thanks for asking due 09/08/07, I'm 4 weeks and 3 days, not counting ! No real symptoms at the moment boobs only tingling a little, eating and drinking alots, so put on a few lb's already but no real symptoms yet, but bring it on that's what I say, LOL!

GeekInPigTails · 03/12/2006 12:57

Hey all, sorry I've not been on in a couple of days, just been so busy. I'm afraid I have bad news too, AF arrived last night Can't help being disappointed, I was so looking forward to giving our parents the good news at Christmas!

Oh well, as others have already worked out, since we're so early in the month, my new cycle still finishes in December, especially if I have another 27 day cycle as the last one was. So I will be sticking around, but I think I'll be on here less often - feel like I need to relax about the TTC for a bit and just enjoy the Christmas season.

Hope you're all well - sorry haven't got the energy to talk to everyone today, there are so many people on the thread now, it's great!

MrsMcClaus · 03/12/2006 12:58

glad you decided to stay with us Madame Butterfly and Babymad, that's great!

As some of you now know from my other thread, I am in a quandry! is it AF is it not? sorry for posting that it was AF yest, I thought the progression from a bit to a lot was inevitable but apparently not!
