Well, I thouht I'd better start this thread as I am CD1 of my 6th cycle of trying for our very precious first baby. This is going to be a lucky and positive thread, I can feel it so I'm laying down the babydust now so that as you join me, you can collect your dose .

For those who join me, what are you doing differently this cycle?

OP posts:
MrsMcClaus · 03/12/2006 12:59

Crossed with you Geek, sorry chick, saw that temp drop on Fri and wondered if you would be like me, a drop the day before AF arrives As you say, you're still in the game for a Dec BFP . Keep charting, I think it realy helps.

RudolphsREADY · 03/12/2006 13:51

So sorry Geek! Hug!! Fingers crossed for a BFP in December still though!! You know where we are if you need to rant or chat!

MrsMcClaus · 03/12/2006 16:47

AF is here. It's nice to actually know what is going on!

xcharlotte · 03/12/2006 18:25

MrsMcClaus... know what you mean about 'is AF here/isn't it'... I had a similar thing, with spotting on one day (Friday), then nothing all day Saturday until Saturday evening. Mystery solved!

Onwards and upwards, as they say.

Must change my name to something more festive

MrsHolly · 03/12/2006 18:49

thank you for the name Snowydays!

Have been out all day so only been able to pop in now.

MrsMcClaus - I think i have fixed my settings so i can get messages - let me know though if it doesn't work

Sorry about AF MrsMcClaus and xcharlotte - I do know what you mean about is it or isn't it. I'm still not sure although have some spotting and of course was BFN earlier today - although still convincing myself there is a teeny weeny bit of hope...hmmm

Geek, sorry to hear about AF too and I too have been imagining for weeks how lovely it would be to tell our parents on Christmas morning...it would (or hopefully will!) be their first granchild. Chin up.

Speak later all

xx

festivefettle · 03/12/2006 18:56

Hi All

Nothing more to report from me - just didn't want to feel left out on the festive name front!! Bit dull though - but I couldn't decide how to spell "baublyfettle"!!

So sorry AF has arrived MrsMcClaus, Geek & Madame buttefly - at least it sounds as if you might have another chance this month - Lots of good luck and babydust to you all.

How's everyone else? I've lost track of who's to test next - won't be me - I'm not going to test until I'm in labour next time - don't want Ready telling me off for testing too early!!!

Hope everyone had good weekends' - our decorations are up and I'm starting to feel quite festive. Only 2 weeks left until off work for the rest of the year!!

take care all

festivefettle · 03/12/2006 18:58

Sorry - x-crossed posts MrsHolly! Fingerscrossed for you that this isn't AF starting!

Mirry71 · 03/12/2006 19:32

Hello All
Loving the festive names! Maybe I should change mine to Merry71!
Big hugs to everyone who had AFs this weekend...am thinking of you.
DH and I go to the docs tomorrow to get our test results....wish us luck. I guess it will be better to know what the problem is and then maybe we can do something about it....but am nervous.
Both felt a bit sluggish this weekend and so despite it being the best time only managed to BD once (sorry if TMI!)....still one can hope...

greedyformincepies · 03/12/2006 20:51

once is all it takes merry71!
i am getting a bit confused with all the festive names. especially snowydays! that threw me for some reason!
i am SO sorry about AF MrsMcSpink, perve and geek. i am sure there was someone else too but i have forgotten who, sorry! At least its only a week or so until you start ttc again for next cycle. and before you know it you will all be getting your bfps. i visited one of my friends today who has 6 day old identical twin girls (how broody was i?). anyway, last year she had 2 miscarriages and open heart surgery and now this year she has 2 gorgeous little babies! my point is that she thought it was NEVER going to work out for them and it did! so KEEP SMILING everyone.....it will happen!

i am on cd36 today, which is either 9 or 11dpo. dont think i will be able to resist testing again in the morning! (whatever you say ready, i wont listen!!!) so no doubt i will be on here tomorrow announcing my bfn!

Love this name changing thing! Haven't a clue who anyone is anymore and now I've been bitten by the bug and changed mine too.
Mirry71 Loads of luck for tomorrow, do let us know how you get on
Greedy - how does anyone cope with twins?? I'm sure they're adorable.... but twins...
Thinking of those of you who's AF has arrived ...keep your chin up
Cityangel - hey cycle buddy, are you counting the days up to OD? Think mine is in the next few days now

sparklytreeangel · 03/12/2006 21:35

Hey BoJingles cycle buddy I am doing fine. Very hungover today as we had a big party yesterday! Then I spent the whole day clearing the living room with dh for new carpet. The Christmas tree nearly fell apart.
I am still low on the fertility monitor but going for it anyway!
Sorry about AF MrsMcClaus and everyone else
Good luck to anyone testing who's next?

FestivelyFrostyFloss · 03/12/2006 22:32

Hello everyone. Congratulations to lovely bird. Brilliant news. Sorry to all those of you who have AF. there seem too many of you somehow. Good luck to all those who are testing over the next few days.

For the sake of it - greedy, step away from the test kit. The liklehood of it showing anything at all so early on is not great and it will most likely be a disapointment. Right , well thats might lecture. Feel free to ignore (BTW if I were determind I would ignore me too!!)!!

Ready, goodness me. Three weeks to go I think? You're going to be a complete frenzy by then! (xmas I mean)

MMJ, sorry it really is AF, impatience too. Will you both still be testing this month or next?

Well I am hoping for a speedy week, working long day tomorrow, hopefully off to friends tues, nother long day weds, off to lunch on thurs and then Af id due. Still completely miffed by the whole thing. My lower tummy feels kind of heavy, mettalic tast only occaisionally now which makes me wonder even more if it is just in my mind. Boobs still sore as buggery though. For about a third of the day I am convinced I am, for about the other third I'm convinced I can't be and the rest I'm going round in circles!! Never mind, as I say a busy week, a birthday, and now a night out to look forward to as well as xmas if a BFN. I think I need to focus on that now so that I am not a weeping mess on my b day when DP and DS take me out.

Owlet · 03/12/2006 22:54

Hi folks, first time on this thread, just love all those festive names -makes me want to start putting up all the xmas decorations and write my xmas cards.

sorry to hear about the AF's todate keeping fingers crossed for more BFP newsthis month

Now in my 2ww - due 13 December - trying not to be supersticious but if we arent successful this time then we are off to an IVF consultation in Jan. So fingers crossed and sprinkling lots of baby dust on all who are waiting this month.

Beccarolloveragain · 04/12/2006 00:58

well....another day passed....still no af!

its my birthday tomorrow (today as its 1am!) so i might test tomorrow - what do you think?

Uki · 04/12/2006 03:34

So sorry to hear about AFs Mrs Mc and Geek

You both sound optmistic, glad to hear.

I know 6 months sounds like a long time, but it really is normal, my first pg took 6 months, but then had 3 month conception then 1 month -DS and then 1 month and now taking 4 months, all the others apart from ds 3 x m/c.

my SIL took nearly 1 year to concieve and now has beauitiful 3 month dd, and i just look and think she only missed one christmas and now she is here with all of us.

Motto- "doesn't mattter how long it takes, as long as they are healthy after birth you won't believe where the months went."

BabymadwithBump · 04/12/2006 07:02

How is every one in here? Any more BFP's?
Getting in the mood for xmas now

sparklybits · 04/12/2006 08:10

hi all just a quick one (female of species here with as xmassy a name change as i could think of (not v artistic me)

right old to do with a clearblue y/day after kidding myself (again) that af was implantation or something

got two thin lines on the +- type tests, one after the other but i must have wished them as 'faint positives' by the power of positive thinkin - this morning i'm back to bfn's. still got achy boobs though. is this life after 30?

love to all and talk properly later x

Chooster · 04/12/2006 09:00

So so so sorry to all those with AF - I've just been catching up. Hope you are all feeling better about it all now and still feeling the xmas spirit Impatience - Is your definately AF?

This month always flies along so it wont be long at all before you are all Bd-ing like mad and then in the 2ww... GOOD LUCK

Chooster · 04/12/2006 09:02

Sorry! Meant to add congratulations to lovelybird and sparklybits - that sounds interesting

sparklybits · 04/12/2006 09:03

sos, congrats lovelybird.. well done you :-)

pinkranger · 04/12/2006 09:03

Hi everyone ,
so sorry about everyones AF, what a PITA!
Well christmas has arrived in the ranger house and we have tree and lights and snowGlobes - I love christmas
( and these new emoticons )

well Cd 20 today, opk showed no ovulation yesterday ( i didnt ov until cd 19 last cycle and i had a 33 day this month) i have run out of OPk but dh said dont go and buy any and he will put in 110% for the next seven days so 2 days in of bd and 5 to go, it will kill him!!!!! lots of Cm so i know it will be in the next few days.
Hope everyone else is well, Sparlybits are you going to test again ??

sparklybits · 04/12/2006 09:09

i'd like to think there was a point, but testing again.. if same test showed bfn next day, it won't get any more positive will it..

you sound upbeat pinkranger = good on you

greedyformincepies · 04/12/2006 09:20

i know i am being dense but who are you bojingles? i THINK i know who everyone else is!
couldnt resist and did another test this morning! BFN again obviously. not sure what is wrong with me really, why do i feel the need to test early and then get dissapointed? i think its probably cos my friend gave me 4 pg tests so i didnt pay for any of them so maybe thats why i dont feel bad. anyway.....i feel suitably deflated after my BFN. i know its prob too early, but i got positives with my other pregnancies before af was due so i think it really is a BFN and i am just waiting for the inevitable af to arrive.
congrats lovelybird.......how did you do it?
and sparklybits......whats happening? keep us posted
becca......i just KNOW you are pg, i have got the strongest feeling and i really think you are miss super fertile!

they are here for you at last ready!!!

greedyformincepies · 04/12/2006 09:21

sparklybits? when is af due then?
