Well, I thouht I'd better start this thread as I am CD1 of my 6th cycle of trying for our very precious first baby. This is going to be a lucky and positive thread, I can feel it so I'm laying down the babydust now so that as you join me, you can collect your dose .

For those who join me, what are you doing differently this cycle?

Hi MrsMcJnr - sorry to hear your stressing over work I think its very cheeky of them to approach your current employer without your say so!

I was only thinking after i typed my message "why have i not been back to the statue this time???!!!"
Maybe its worth a trip!!!!

I am not going to predict my ovulation dates this month, im just going to babydance every 3 days - or roundabout that anyway!!!!
However, as my progesterone levels were so low im not convinced im ovulating anyway!

Not sure what a high prolactin level means though!

sideways · 24/11/2006 16:07

Oh, well, spotting has started (quite early but there you go). Very pissed off after huge amounts of bding.

Will be consuming only chocolate and wine this weekend, with the odd take-away thrown in for extra additives).

Nixz · 24/11/2006 16:07

Hi Firststar, I can just imagine a whole bunch of desperate mn's with strange names all chanting and rubbing the statue!
Ha ha poor statue!

cityangel · 24/11/2006 16:35

Right so trains to Blackpool are 3 hours 20 minutes. I think it would take longer in the car. So I could go 'Christmas shopping' one Sat. Earliest one I can do is the 9th. Or maybe I could get it fedexed and put it on my desk that would be easier....

Mirry71 · 24/11/2006 16:46

Am booking my train ticket up north straight away....
Ready and Impatience thanks for kind words

greedyguzzler · 24/11/2006 16:55

wait for me mirry!

cityangel · 24/11/2006 17:15

So that's 3 of us Not sure dh would understand the lack of shopping bags and late return home though. Ryanair have flights for 1p but they leave way too early in the morning!

Flossam · 24/11/2006 17:46

I'll come in the new year too!

Weekend is much to look forward to here! My mum is coming so that is nice but I'm working lates and Dp's on nights. Won't see hardly any of him and not much of my mum either, which is a bit of a shame as I usually see her about once a month.

never mind. So I'm CD14 today, the EWCM seems to be abaiting now and I think todays BD will be the last! Not too bad an effort, BD on days 7-11 13 and 14. We have been quite busy! So fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear about your work MMJ - hope you handed notice in after all that then. There must be some female nurses for DH soon - there aren't that many about -3 out of about 30 on our ward!

GIPT - ha ha no symptom spotting - what do you think we are? I can't abide by that rule I don't think sorry!!

Impatience, you are more than welcome to take me out. I have always found that my body automatically stopped me being in the mood for booze when I've been pregnant.

SW- it could be implantation so don't get too upset yet. Good luck.

babyfettle · 24/11/2006 19:11

Hello - I'm all for fertility statue visiting. After no joy for nearly 2 years TTC DD, we went to Malta on holiday. The first thing I saw there, was a model of the Maltese Goddess of Fertility in the hotel shop window - 3 weeks later, I found out I was pg!!!

PS - I've been on the Nov thread, but as I'm not even sure I've ov'd yet (CD36 today!), I'm joining you all. I hope that's ok!

MrsMcJnr · 25/11/2006 13:49

Good afternoon ladies how are we all? bit quiet on here, did you all go to the fertility statue without me?!

1n2s - know you'll join us here and I just wanted to say that I am so sorry that AF arrived and you are feeling down, big hugs to you. I know how hard it is when you have put in lots of effort and hope in vain but think of it this way, a cycle isn't really very long and if you get your BFP in Decemeber and there is no reason why you shouldn't, you really won't care that November wasn't your month.

Hello Firststar & Nixz - thanks for sharing my at the references, I got hold of the HR woman before she could make any calls as didn't get to speak to my boss yesterdaty. Going to email after I've had a MN fix but not looking forward to it.

Sideways - it's not over yet, be careful what you do.

Flossam - you have been busy! Are you a nurse? can you give me any tips on how I should be looking after DH when he gets home later today? Can't wait to have him home with me.

We got some really sad news yesterday, friends expecting their 4th child told us that she had been still born so very sad. She was full term plus 10 days after her due date. I don't know any detail yet but it is so tragic

GeekInPigTails · 25/11/2006 18:49

Flossam, you better practice dodging some cyber slaps then!

MMJ - Oh that's awful about your friends! I wouldn't have a clue what to say to them. I guess with 3 kids already they've just got to plough straight back into real life as well - hope they manage to find some time to recover and come to terms with it. Best wishes to you and them...

Nothing really to report from me, I've got loads of stuff on so not finding it too hard getting through the 2ww at the mo (it'll probably feel worse through next week as AF starts to loom). Just watching my temp like a hawk in case there's an implantation shift!

Beccarolloveragain · 26/11/2006 12:06

I am on CD19 today Think I OVed on CD14

This morning I had a big gob of browny mucousy stuff (TMI Sorry)

What can this be?

Gracie14 · 26/11/2006 16:24

Hi all,
I'm new on here, this is my 2nd month of TTC and I'm on CD12 of 30 day cycle. Just wanted to wish everybody luck on getting their BFP's in time for Christmas

1n2s · 26/11/2006 17:57

MrMcJr - thanks for your kind words. Yes its true these cycles aren't really that long. I am going to spend the next month forgetting about it all and just enjoy the build up to christmas like everyone else.

My GP did say to come back around christmas time to start having some blood tests done, but I'm going to leave it until after the New Year as it will only get me wondering and also there will be the long delay of results coming back over the christmas break.

1n2s · 26/11/2006 17:58

Good luck to you too Gracie14

MrsMcJnr · 26/11/2006 19:26

Good evening ladies, Florence here, finally escaped from my patient, being very difficult but lovely to have him home all the same

Geek - thank you for your thoughts for my friends, I was telling my Mum and she was saying that it does not matter how many children you have, the pain of carrying the lost one for all that time and never meeting them is excutiating. We lost my twin, Adam, at birth so she knows her stuff. We were her first pregnancy and there are 3 of us now but she never had another boy.

Anyway, on to happier things. Glad you are busy too, I just don't know where the weekend has gone, it's always Sunday night or Monday to me!

Becca - I have heard people on here say, but I have never read about it myself that that can mean that the body is creating a plug at the cervix to protect an embryo but who knows, some people say that CM after OV is a positive sign but the books I have read have said that it could be the lining dissolving too early - hope it is a good sign for you though

Welcome Gracie 14 - lovely to have you with us and thank you for your kind wishes, tell us more about you!

1n2s - that's the spirit! I am getting my tree on Friday (well, it is December!) and I can't wait to get festive! it's great that your GP is so approachable, mine isn't but I will be badgering him for a referral at the end of Jan if I am still waiting as by then, we will have been TTC for 8 months and charting for 7 - time enough to check out the basics I reckon!

Where are the rest of you? glueing yourselves to the Blackpool statue?

MrsMcJnr · 26/11/2006 19:48

Just my luck, no-one else around to chat I've hung around a bit but now have to get back to tending the patient. Tuck up warm tonight ladies

Hi MrsMc - sorry I missed you, was doing the bedtime routine thing . How is hubby doing? I hope things went well and he is making a full recovery.

So sorry to hear about your twin, it must be awful, no matter how many children you have. Do you feel as if a part of you is missing? I have heard that about twins. Sorry about your freinds as well. I can't imaging going through a whole pregancy and that happenning.

Becca - I sometimes get a bit of cm after ov, but not a bfp, so I don't know what it means.

CD2 here now - so no chance whatsoever of getting pregnant before my birthday .

cityangel · 26/11/2006 20:08

Hey MrsMC sorry I missed you
Let me know when you're back
We are going to the doctors in Jan and I am so disheartened with the idea she will just send us away.
I have managed to recover from my must go to Blackpool Friday thoughts and went to Paris with my Mum instead as an early birthday present. I bought some sexy underwear which should be fun.
CD3 today 6 days until CBFM test
Hope Dh is alright and I'm sorry you lost your twin. big East London Sunday hug

Who else is about? Next to test. Going at it like rabbits? I have 14 days till likely OV grr Sometimes I wonder how anyone gets pregnant!

greedyguzzler · 26/11/2006 21:36

why isnt EVERYONE on here all the time? then we could chat so much easier!
MrsMcSpink - you have twins in your family then, i have heard of SO MANY cases where couples try for a while to concieve and then end up with twins, you and your DH will OBVIOUSLY be another case to add to the list. (apparently you have to do it twice in one day to get twins!!!!!!.......that is what my friend told me and she is due to have her identical twins tomorrow so she should know!) actually......i must ring her!......hopefully it will be busier on here tomorrow, i miss everyone!
p.s. MrsMcSpink and ready.......only 25mins till another sawyer fix!!!!!!

greedyguzzler · 26/11/2006 21:39

our GPs will be busy wont they, cos i am going to go to the GP in jan too if no bfp by then.

greedyguzzler · 26/11/2006 21:41

cityangel? are you out there? i saw you posted on babymads thread! where are you? are you avoiding me and my nipple tassles!?

Flossam · 26/11/2006 22:22

Hi everyone, been working all weekend with my mum down so not been around much.

I'm feeling ok - CD CD16(?) I think today - it's been a looong day! Boobs are tender, but they always are. Becca I too had a big glob of something come out of there yesterday I think? Wasn't brown or red, more kind of orange? Nice.

Sorry to see both of you here, sideways and CA, and 1n2s, I don't think I know you but good luck to all of you this month.

MMJ- Glad DH is home and giving you hassle!! I am a nurse, but I've never had anything to do with backs so I'm even less help than usual! One thing though, be nice to him but not tooo nice - otherwise he will be ill for the forseeable future ! Hope he continues to recover well.

cityangel · 27/11/2006 00:32

Sorry Greedy, MrsMC and Flossam. I Fancy a good chat but as ever am a bit late!

MrsMC work colleagues of dh had a stillborn child. To go 9 months and get to that point must be soul destroying. In their case it was umbilical chord round the neck. We didn't know them at all well but I remember very clearly from the note that they sent out that they wanted everyone to talk to them . They wanted people to know that they recognised it was difficult for people to know what to say but that saying something was better than staying away. I

Flossam thanks for your wishes of luck. I also spent Sat with my Mum. Does yours know you are ttc? I didn't discuss it with mine because I want to wait the 3 months if I get to that point. It took her 2 years to conceive me and 3 with my brother so I am starting to accept that I was right in my original concerns that ttc would be for the long haul. I hope it works out for you this month

I need some serious advice from everyone on how to handle the Jan doctor visit. Tower Hamlets NHS is the pits. It took me 3 years just to get on a doctor's register How can we get the basic tests?

Has anyone done home tests, got tests before the NHS 12 months guideline or saved up to go private?

I hope you all have a good week next week. Thanks for being good mates.

D2b former cycle buddy how are you getting on? Are you on the Dec thread?
