Well, I thouht I'd better start this thread as I am CD1 of my 6th cycle of trying for our very precious first baby. This is going to be a lucky and positive thread, I can feel it so I'm laying down the babydust now so that as you join me, you can collect your dose .

For those who join me, what are you doing differently this cycle?

greedyguzzler · 24/11/2006 13:40

also, can anyone help explain why my temp has gone back down today?
36.4 / 36.3 until cd25 then yest 36.7 (wahey!) now today 36.4! boo hoo!

MrsMcJnr · 24/11/2006 13:40

Hey there ladies. My boss has cancelled our lunch meeting again oh well, he'll get my resignation by email now!

Flossam - I read that it is progestrone that makes your boobs sore therefore it can be a sign that you've OVd. I didn't get sore boobs for the first 4 cycles but they kicked in after that. Like Impatience said, I think that my body got it's levels sorted and that's why it started then. Sorry if I misled you, DH won't be home today maybe tomorrow or Sunday .

Geek - I wasn't symptom spotting, honest! I just have a pain, could be anything! I am in a totally different place this cycle from before, I know those panics and the depression that Ready and Impatience have talked about, I have had them but feel fine this cycle, what will be will be and I've done all I can. Maybe part of that is having lots on my mind just now. You are quite right to reinforce our rules though (like the first one! - did you ever read The Rules or were you quoting from Fight Club?)

Hello Chooster! Yup, there is a double bed in our lounge (much to my pussycats' glee). Am hoping the nosey, noisy neighbour across the way is eating her heart out wondering why! I have told DH that he's going to be called Grandpa Joe from now on (think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and when we have our Mulled wine, mince pie and Christmas DVD night with friends on Christmas Eve, he'll have to make room in the bed! Hope you have a lovely weekend with your parents, don't forget a great mag for the train!! Do you think they'll guess you are pregnant? My Mum would, white witch that she is!

Ready - he, he the nurses at night were male too! He refused to let them help him with his PJs and waited for me to help him! Hope you feel better soon, what will be will be and you are doing all you can, remember that

OP posts:
Chooster · 24/11/2006 13:41

I know we just can't bear to leave can we Cyee!! Sorry if it makes it worse having ttc thread graduates on here - feel free to tell us to bugger off (although we all secretly hope you dont )

Thanks for asking Ready - I'm doing fine - 6 weeks today so still very early days, but I'm keeping everything crossed that this one makes it through. No symptoms to speak of so I have to confess to having done 6 PG tests now to be sure

I reckon MrsMcJ spotted some hottie nurses when she visited last night which is why she has insisted DH is released to come home today

Beccarolloveragain · 24/11/2006 13:43

Greedyguzzler - My eldest (7) doesnt get up until I force her! She is a lazy bones so she was in bed and DS (3.3) we just issue tasks and commands (go and count your power rangers, find a blue sock etc) He is none the wiser

Has to be a quickie tho!

MrsMcJnr · 24/11/2006 13:45

Cyee - I remember that description you gave really well!

Don't worry Greedy - see what happens with your temps over the next few days, remember look at the wood and not the trees! Poor Impatient Perve - what a name!

OP posts:
greedyguzzler · 24/11/2006 13:47

anyone read the fertility statue thing? shall i organise a coach for us all!!!!????? it sounds great ! apparently there is a similar thing in stanstead i will try and find a link!

Chooster · 24/11/2006 13:48

Gosh, a lot can happen when you are writing a post!

Sorry DH is not coming home after all - so he's stuck with the male nurses as well - poor thing eh?

Am looking forward to the weekend - no I dont think Mum will know. She's guessed the other times but I was as sick as a dog and not drinking so I didn't have a good disguise to hide behind. This time I feel fine... Besides she's been really poorly and has found out she needs a transfusion on Monday so she'll be sparko most of the time we are there

Chooster · 24/11/2006 13:50

Eeek - MrsMc - that post was directed at you...

Chooster · 24/11/2006 13:50

Eeek - MrsMc - that post was directed at you...

MrsMcJnr · 24/11/2006 13:58

oh Chooster sorry (texted you)

OP posts:
Impatience · 24/11/2006 14:03

Oi, look who's talking, McSpink!

Chooster, she said the nurses were male, so I reckon that yes she has spotted some hotties and that's why she's arranged to have to be still visiting MrMc till Sunday

You guys, I'm feeling so much better you know. Even Becca's blinding fertility tales have made me feel more positive!

And to the graduates: I'd love you to keep popping by as evidence that it can work

Thanks everyone. I say again, I wish I could take you all for a few drinks.

(Er, not the kind of thing we're supposed to say on 'help me it's taking me months to conceive' type threads, huh...? )
xx

MrsMcJnr · 24/11/2006 14:05

re drinks - course it is Impatience - this thread is all about living whilst we TTC isn't it? Glad you feel better, can't have you down

OP posts:
Impatience · 24/11/2006 14:07

Thanks McJ x

Chooster · 24/11/2006 14:08

A-ha - good point about the male nurses Impatience - you obviously know MrsMcj well

Ready · 24/11/2006 14:14

Oooh think I might have to get Dh to drive me to Blackpool this weekend!!

Ready · 24/11/2006 14:15

MrsMc - I am glad you are fine and relaxed this month! I will endeavour to be like that next cycle. But this cycle I am not positive.

greedyguzzler · 24/11/2006 14:21

impatience! you are very generous, there is quite a few of us on here and i, for one, am NOT a cheap date!

greedyguzzler · 24/11/2006 14:22

MrsMcSpink......is your dh fussy then? i dont think my dh would care if they were male or female as long as they had a nurses outfit on!

greedyguzzler · 24/11/2006 14:23

BUGGER! i forgot to call impatience perve! doesnt mean you aren't though!

KitKat30 · 24/11/2006 14:42

Impatience - I'm a really cheap date! Take me!!

On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy is everyone that it's the weekend? 972 for me!

GeekInPigTails · 24/11/2006 14:42

MMJ - it was a Fight Club reference. What's 'The Rules'? LOL at your DH being grandpa Joe! Sounds like great fun

Nixz · 24/11/2006 15:47

Hi all, i was in the November thread but bloody orange upgraded my line and cocked my broadband up so i have been offline for 3 weeks!
I recognise a few names, i wont say its nice to see you on here but it is in a way
Well, for all those who remember my story, AF did eventually arrive (2 weeks late) and progesterone levels turned out to be 5 and it was my PROLACTIN which was high. As usual i was offered no explanation, just a referral, hoping that arrives quickly!
I have quickly skimmed through this thread and noticed a link for Blackpool fertility statue. Oh boy do i have a story for you!!!!!
1 1/2 years ago, DP and i were about to start treatment after years of tests etc and decided to go away for a few days beforehand. We lived in Surrey at the time and went to London bus station and said we would catch the first bus that was leaving.
It was for Blackpool!! So off we went and whilst there we visited Ripleys Museum, where there was a fertility statue. I rubbed it and we laughed about it.
I conceived in Blackpool against all the odds and drs reports, i fell pregnant!
I always tell people this story but no one ever beieves me, i can promise you its the truth.
It may be chance but it may not.........
Babydust and hugs xxxx

MrsMcJnr · 24/11/2006 15:49

OH MY GOD!!!!! New company have called up my references without my permission [anger] I haven't had the opportunity to resign yet and my current boss is one of my referees, I told them to wait until I gave the go ahead!!!!! My boss kind of knows I have a new job to go to but didn't know who it was with and now he does!! oh, damn it, damn it, see these HR people grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

MrsMcJnr · 24/11/2006 15:55

Hello Nixz nice to hear from you! Sorry to hear no BFP yet. Amazing story, I love things like that.

Right - that's it, let's have a meet up in Blackpool after Christmas!!!!

OP posts:
Beccarolloveragain · 24/11/2006 16:02

I think it really does work y'know.

When I rubbed its belly I was doing it for a laugh almost to prove it wrong (I was only 18 and not really wanting a baby)

Anyway, didnt have a period for 9 months after that!!
