Well, I thouht I'd better start this thread as I am CD1 of my 6th cycle of trying for our very precious first baby. This is going to be a lucky and positive thread, I can feel it so I'm laying down the babydust now so that as you join me, you can collect your dose .

For those who join me, what are you doing differently this cycle?

SPINK!!!!!!! i love it! it sounds filthy! i am going to try and talk dirty to my dh tonight to get him in the mood and let me tell you....the word 'spink' will be featuring highly!!!!!
ready and mrs - saywer is the one for me too! i was jealous of kate last night, except for the taste of fish biscuits! (you have to watch it tonight ready!) i watched it with my legs in the air last night! i think i am going for a BDing record this month by the way! i am too scared to stop unless i suddenly ovulate!

Hello Impatience, thanks for all your kind words about everything, including CM ! Don't worry about the gradual thermal shift, the software I have calculates a thermal shift on the basis of 3 temps above the coverline so must be fine. If I did OV yest, then even if my LP is 11 days like last month instead of the usual 10, AF will be due on 2 Dec so we'll be testing around the same time - shall we go for a compromise and both test on the 3rd!? cos AF is NOT going to turn up, she's just not!

I'm new to TTC and to these boards but grateful for people's frankness where else can you find out so much information in one place lol!

Just can't believe that after so long trying not to get pg (and on the pill) how difficult it is.... and how out of touch with my body and cycle I was, feel like I have been on a steep learning curve the last few months.

I'm just 2 months off the pill so not expecting much to happen yet but who knows. Good luck to everyone for this cycle.

MMJ - wow it's all happening for you at the moment isn't it! They do say that things come in threes, so if your hubby's op and the job were the first two, that bodes well for BFP this cycle!!! Sorry, I probably shouldn't be getting your hopes up too high...

thats really interesting cyee cause i have been wondering about that - hope i'm not getting too graphic but i had noticed a lot of egg white like CM after a number 2 about a week before i thought i might ov going by my pessimistic estimates of having another 37 day cycle - hmm may have to look at my diary again for timings for things.

well ready! thta is a very good qu! i normally! have long cycles but i am on cd24 and i havent ov'd this cycle, so its either spotting and an extra long cycle or v.short cycle and beginnings of AF! who knows! not me thats for sure!

MMJ - it all sounds like it is fitting into place for you - good luck! Good news about EWCM - how long should it be stretching then? I have had more today - so no completely unsure about OV and some minor cramps just now - but the amount today was a lot. So I think I'm going to have to go and work on DP again. Poor soul.

Geek - yup! I am expecting someone to ring my doorbell now and tell me they want to buy my house for double the asking price!

Greedy I am liking my new name, and as Ready says, DH actually likes Merlot as a boy's name I do like a tipple yes but hope that I'll be able to be very good now that I need to look after DH after his op and make no public appearances for 6 weeks (perfect time to disguise a BFP from friends and family wouldn't you say!?) Sorry about the spotting but as you say, if it was an annovulatory cycle, AF would bring it to a nice swift end to let you start again.

Flossam - I think I read in the TW book (and saw a photo ) of 10 inch EWCM, am very inadequate compared to that but 5 is better than the scant 2 or 3 of the last few cycles and if what Impatience said about the really wet stuff is right, I must have been really fertile this cycle so fingers crossed.

My software is not accepting yet that I OVd on Monday (CD15) as it is expecting me to OV tomorrow (CD18) but I have 2 temps above my coverline and judging by the CM, I really think I did so here's hoping. I am really disappointed in my saliva acope thing, hardly got any ferning at all .

Going to accept the new job and try and agree consultant's package with exisiting company for a few hours a week. Don't think I'll be on here as much if I do all that but it'll be good for me and you'll get more quality and less quantity!

Thanks Ready - the name is a type of seabird I always thought it would make a good name for a boat. (Not likely to ever have one though!)

I am 32 DH the same and we are trying for our first.This is my 2nd cycle off the pill; last was 28 days, I am on CD 12. Not sure when I OV as new to all this but will be looking for any signs next few days It's like there is a whole new language to learn....

There seems to be quite conflicting advice about the chance of falling after stopping the pill so I'm not sure if it makes it less or more likely that it happens sooner or later.

We do have a skiing holiday booked for Jan (booked long ago and not sure it's my idea of fun), so I'm hoping that will be an incentive to my body - I would love to have an excuse to sit it out!
