New thread!
This thread pretty much does what it says on the tin...
Shall we start with some stats?
I'm 32, TTC since last Jan, 2x MMC last year and on second cycle of trying again.

I'm lacking in patience as well redwine unfortunately I think I'm fully expecting to get a bfp in my wtf cycle as I've heard of that happening a few times. Setting myself up for a massive fall I think! But telling myself I'll get another bfp next cycle is the only way I can cope at the moment

MarysPrayer · 02/04/2015 21:14

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone Flowers

I've finally caught up and read the whole thread Smile

Congrats to guy ! xx

The bleeding eased off last night and also this morning, so I didn't take the medication. It did start up again this afternoon and was quite heavy for a few hours, with more clots. Not easy as I went back to work today. I'm gonna hold off the tablets though. Day 5 now, so I'm hoping it will calm down by itself.

I'm confused that most people who mc have their bloods levels monitored. They only took mine once (haven't had the results) but they didn't want to see me again. How do I/they know that my body is doing this by itself? Confused Apologies if that's stupid question, I've absolutely no experience of mc.

I can totally relate to so many of the comments on here. My mc really has changed the whole ttc thing for me. If/when I get another bfp, it won't be so joyful next time.

Oh and I'm also a 'night worrier' too - I can totally sympathise with you!

Yokyil · 02/04/2015 21:43

Just from my own experience mary a&e took my bloods - then on referral by them to the early pregnancy clinic they took bloods again and called me with the results that they'd dropped a bit but to just take a pregnancy test one week later--if negative v little or no hcg in your system

MarysPrayer · 02/04/2015 21:49

Thanks yokyil. It's odd that they've done neither. Maybe it's because the urine pregnancy test was negative, meaning my levels must have already dropped a fair bit already. Just guessing here/clutching at straws, Grrr, I wish they'd have explained it to me!

Yokyil · 02/04/2015 22:04

They don't explain much - think talking to other women who've experienced it is the best way to inform yourself - but we're all different too. I would say so - if your urine same was giving off a negative the hcg must've been very low. Some ladies have to go through invasive procedures that can drag on for months - others just ends up being like a normal period.
Are you TTC baby #1? What age are you if you don't mind me asking?

MarysPrayer · 02/04/2015 22:14

I'm getting on a bit 37 ttc #2 (dd was was conceived very easily, 3 years ago, with an uneventful pregnancy)

I'm surprised the urine test was negative as I'd been getting lovely strong lines all week. You're right though, I'm thankful that I haven't needed any medical mgt.

Yokyil · 02/04/2015 22:23

Not at all - age is just a number Wink I had 3 positive pregnancy tests - 10 days later it wasn't there anymore - doesn't feel real at the time at all. You'll get that uneventful pregnancy again Flowers

mrsdiddlydoo · 02/04/2015 22:36

Mary I've never had bloods taken after a mc. Think it varies depending on the epu. Mine don't want to know you unless you're 7 weeks. I was given a pregnancy test to take 2 weeks after my first mc. I think if you aren't sure about anything that you call your gp or epu for advice. I bled heavily on off for around 2 weeks after my natural mc. It can take you by surprise. And can make going out or to work a bit stressful! Mc can make future pregnancies more worrisome, but each pregnancy is unique and your chances of a successful one next time hugely outweighs the chances of another mc. You will get through this.

MarysPrayer · 02/04/2015 22:41

Thanks lovelies Flowers I think I'd have gone mad without this thread!

MissMrsMummy · 02/04/2015 23:14

I'm getting myself in a bit of a mess.

I did a hpt on Sunday and it was still positive 1-2 weeks. Also a frer which was positive but no darker than 5 days before.

Then I've had all the bleeding.

Now my boobs suddenly feel really full and sensitive. I haven't had any bloods taken or a hpt since Sunday and am now stupidly thinking I could still be pg. is this just hormones playing havoc?

marys I hope you are ok. I will pm back when on laptop x

brickiemum2 · 03/04/2015 07:28

Was the bleeding the only confirmation of a mc miss ? You really need to get yourself to your nearest epau for an internal scan to see what is actually going on. There are many possibilities. You may have fully mc naturally, you may have partially mc and have retained products, you may not have mc at all as many women bleed at the start of pregnancy...even heavy bleeding, you may have had two eggs implant for example but only one is continuing. It's impossible to know from urine tests. You need to be scanned imo.

jassS · 03/04/2015 07:33

MrsMummy it can still go either way. If your symptoms now got stronger hcg may be on the rise, but this again can be because sometimes only the placental tissue keeps growing, sometimes the baby keeps developing. How far along you are now? If nearing 5 weeks and still getting 1-2w on hpts I would personally be pessimistic, but there are women who have bled because there were difficulties with placenta starting to form, but then the baby got going and never looked back! So, as always in this game, hope for the best but be ready for the worst. This rmc is such a horrible rollercoaster, and to think there are lives of our babies at stake makes me just sick:-( I just try not to think and go through motions....
I can tell that for me if there is no 3+ on digi by 5w3-4d, there is no hope of a heartbeat, even if 3+ comes at say, 6w and half. It is then only placental tissue growing. But people are so very different, only your own previous experience is valid.

brickiemum2 · 03/04/2015 07:43

I've just had a letter come through to go to an appointment with the repeat mc/pre pregnancy consultant. I'm not sure what to expect from that Sad

MissMrsMummy · 03/04/2015 08:20

Thanks brickie and jass I would be 5 weeks today. Yes brickie the EPU didn't want me to go in and GP didn't suggest any bloods or anything. I think I will do a hpt although I am dreading the blank white screen. Also I have realised I have been temping and my temp is pre-ov level so I'm sure I'm not pg.

brickie try to be hopeful, this is a chance to fix any problems and get a sticky bean x

kep1979 · 03/04/2015 12:09

miss I carried on testing my positive out so i knew when it had all gone. If you have any concerns can you call your epu? Mine said although i was physically discharged that i could call them for advice at any stage.

Welcome to the new posters, sorry that you are going through this but this bunch of ladies are lovely and supportive Flowers

Dh and I are relaxing in a teeny tiny cottage in the middle of nowhere and i can feel my stress levels dropping by the minute. Still get negative opks and no signs, so hooing i have already ovulated. If i did ovulate when i had the signs then i am about 6dpo - so will do a hpt in a few days. I think like everyone here i need that BFP asap! No feeling hopeful though as it took so long to get Telford last one.

kep1979 · 03/04/2015 12:10

*the not Telford! Grin

CarrotPuff · 03/04/2015 13:01

brickie and red, sometimes OPKs just don't work from what I've heard. I would just continue DTD EOD and then test when you are a couple days late. Good luck Flowers

Marys I haven't had any bloods taken. But then I did have a scan as I was over 7w. It can take up to 6 weeks to get a bfn (took me 5 weeks). Call your GP if you are concerned Flowers

Miss I would test too and go from there.

kep glad you're having some relaxing time. I hope you get your BFP soon Flowers

MissMrsMummy · 03/04/2015 13:23

Ok everyone I have tested and got 'not pg' on a cb digi. Just needed to see those words to be able to move on.

kep glad you are relaxing. That's v important. Keep hopeful - I've heard you can be v fertile after mc.

jassS · 03/04/2015 13:26

Miss, you do not really need to go to epu or docs at allif you do not want to - if the hcg never passed to 2-3 week level at clearblue, your mc will be more like just a period. Only let gp to know to have mc on record, in case you want to request investigations into the problem.

MissMrsMummy · 03/04/2015 13:35

Thanks jass I spoke to EPU and went to GP so it's on my record. I only ever had 1-2 weeks on cb. Thank you x

How is everyone doing?

Romeolovesjuliet · 03/04/2015 14:12

marys I bled on and off for 4 1/2 weeks after medical mgt and got my neg pregnancy test on the day my period started. But I had 2 scans at the EPU in that time so knew everything had passed. They generally say to contact them if you are still bleeding after 2 weeks and/or getting a pos previous test a week after the bleeding stops.
CD 8 here so getting gong again although DH claiming to be ill. He will just have to man up, though!

Romeolovesjuliet · 03/04/2015 14:12

*getting going not gong!

MarysPrayer · 03/04/2015 17:09

Thanks again for your advice everyone. So weird that the urine test was negative when I had only been bleeding for 24 hours and had a nice dark line on a Clearblue only 3 days earlier. Oh well, I guess we're all different. It's tempting to poas just to see if it is completely negative but I know I'll find it too painful either way. An empty window confirming what I already know, or a faint line showing what could have been.
Sorry for the moany post. Still feeling a bit low.

MissMrs I guess we might be 'wtf' cycle buddies hey? if so, then here's a hand to hold. Smile

Yokyil · 03/04/2015 17:10

Think that's me out...seems AF is on it's way. Lovely crampy stomach Confused why it is 6 days late--I've no idea Hmm but, takes me outta limbo!!! Can start again next week Easter Wink

MarysPrayer · 03/04/2015 17:13

Sorry to hear that yokyil. Are your cycles normally regular? (Apologies, I'm just getting to know everyone and their stats!)
