Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Option decorations include photographs of political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Hi one!

Me, personally? I am taking Sainsbos own folic acid, and then a separate vit D tab as we're in the depths of winter. Nothing else though. Super cheap! Not sure I need iron tabs as eat enough red meat, and most of it comes from your cutlery anyway! This is just me, though, someone may be along with better advice.

How's your diet, generally? Is there anything you don't eat?

townsender · 24/01/2015 23:55

After I was anaemic from my Csection, I was on the hard core iron tablets at first, but then moved onto Boots 'Iron and Vitamin C' tablets. The vit C is meant to help your body adsorb the iron.
I just took folic acid when TTC, nothing else.

DulcetMoans · 25/01/2015 07:30

Cheeky early morning check in.

Congrats town, great news. Join us if and when you feel ready.

Great news on booking the church jelly! It was some lovely weather yesterday so you got to see it at its best. Hope for the same May 2016!

rachel and toast (not sure we've met but have to join in the cat chat!) not sure how mine will take to baby either. one can need quite aggressive love in the face if you don't pay her enough attention which would be hard with a baby on the arm. I'm sure they will adapt though. Cats nearby when shagging can be a mood killer too, ours came in right at the end once and just meowed once like 'what are you doin?' Put DH right off his stride!

Great stealth shagging yorkshire!

LaLa5 · 25/01/2015 08:18

Have an amazing time tink and mountain!

Sorry to Noniks, kez, tink and anyone else the witch has rudely descended on. Tell her it's the last time and she's not welcome next month.

honey sorry to hear about your bro :(

Just your one day bleed - ib?
daisy ditto for your brown spotting?

I had ib both times - first time it was heavy enough for me to sob uncontrollably and put in tampon. Second time was spotting

Re: cats - those of you who know me long have seen me on this thread for over a year know I have two of the clingiest cats in history. We have a plan to prepare them for baby. I work in animal welfare so work with animal behaviourists. I've got a recording of baby cry which we are going to play and get louder towards the due date. Each time I buy a baby thing we leave it out in spare room so they can sniff it and get used to it before putting it in the loft. Then when we start to make up the nursery everything won't be so unfamiliar. We are also making one room baby free so they have somewhere to retreat to if it gets too much when the baby arrives. Lots of hiding places and refuges up high.

jelly hooray for booking the church!

Drink lots of water to increase ewcm and eve primrose oil helps.

Re: vitamins. I had borderline luteal phase defect (9-10 days) so used to take B complex as well as my pre- conception multivitamin. If you decide to take epo or vit b though you must stop taking when you get bfp.

jellypi3 · 25/01/2015 08:28

Morning!
la and dul nice to see you round these areas :) how you both doing?

Yes I'm very excited about the wedding. I've put a piccy of the church below! Roll on 2016!

My cats are a nightmare and I have no idea how I will deal with them. I'm a member on a pet forum though so I'm sure I'll go to them for help when the time comes.

Re vits DP and I take the his and hers pregnacare vits. :)

So out of 7 shaggable days so far we have shagged 5. Good record, need to keep it up.

Last night we shagged without concieve plus lube! It's the first time in a very very long time we done it without any lube (I'm normally a ahem...dry...person down there). But he jumped me in the shower and it was a bit wild and very sexy.

Football today so I'll be back freezing and muddy...hooray!

jellypi3 · 25/01/2015 08:35

Oops church piccy

5 days out of 7, well done Jelly!

Stoatystoat · 25/01/2015 10:51

Congratulations town! Hope you're enjoying this phase.

I had to POAS again this morning after I got some spotting on Friday and have had a panicky few days. Not had any pain, was pink on Friday morning, this mornings is orangey. Went to docs on Friday, they said just go home and rest and only go to hospital if it gets worse, which it hasn't. So not really sure what's the state of play. POAS this morning, not that that means much, and still got a strong line. So until further notice, I'm pregnant. Silly stoat thinking the anxiety would go after POAS positive result!

Hope you're all having a good weekend x

honeysucklejasmine · 25/01/2015 10:55

Beautiful church Jelly! Is it near you?

My two little neices are on full "cute" mode this morning. also full volume Broody! If i get a bfp this month it'll be a miracle! Wink

Stoat the mantra is "today i am pregnant". Repeat as required Flowers

australopithecus · 25/01/2015 10:57

Our cats adapted quite well after having been the only children in the house for a decade. We just make sure to continue to give them cuddles in passing and spend extra time with them when DC is asleep and they collapse cutely on the rug by our feet. Also continue to talk to them lots. They can understand you you know! :)

Ainat266 · 25/01/2015 11:03

Beautiful church Jelly Smile And congrats on the shagging. Hehe.

We dtd again last night. So that's 3 times this week. Maybe again tonight? I don't think either of us can go for ED or EOD when we have no idea on my non existent cycles.

I don't have cats, but I do have a dog. When the time comes we'll prepare him in a similar way that La described when preparing her cats.

The hockey last night was good. First period the team we support were playing terribly. But they picked up in the second and third and won 8-3. :)

jellypi3 · 25/01/2015 12:37

Yes Stoat today you're pregnant :) hope you're doing ok!

The church is near-ish to us (it's in the village my DP grew up in, about 40 mins from where we live now). It's very idealic. Why can't today be as nice, it's horrid lol!

Oh another high on the monitor.........GAH!

We need a new Fred soon viroids!!

LaLa5 · 25/01/2015 12:40

Stoat try not to worry - bleeds are common in early pg. as long as you're not soaking a pad an hour and no painful cramps they say don't worry, but of course if you're worried speak to dr/mw

rachelrawrrr · 25/01/2015 12:49

this is turning in to crazy cat ladies unite Wink we're getting another kitty today. I had a little mister who was the most amazing cat you could have ever met, we came home from shopping early December to find him laying dead, it was really difficult and such a shock because he was only 1 1/2, our little girl is really lonely now, she spends all day cuddling in to a fluffy teddy we've got. The kitty we're getting is one that someone's taken in, it's neglected and got a flea allergy, which has been treated by the person who's taken her in, but she can't keep her
I want to keep all the neglected cats in the world, it breaks my heart Sad

LaLa5 · 25/01/2015 12:58

I'm definitely a crazy cat lady! I love my boys so much I revolve my life around them - where we live, when I get home from work. They're my monkeys.

Good luck with your new fur baby Grin

rachelrawrrr · 25/01/2015 13:03

I live my life around mine too Grin we moved the start of December for the two of them and then 5 days later we lost Boyd Sad

thank you Grin

daisyspice · 25/01/2015 13:50

Hey ladies hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Yeah la was just one day of brown spotting, I hear it's common around ovulation time and some ewcm today so perhaps not cervical cancer like I thoughSmile panic merchant lol

Crazy cat lady here too I've got 2 bit worried how they'll cope when they're not centre of my attention

gaggiagirl · 25/01/2015 13:53

GX for you stoat
I'm the voice of nothing but doom when it comes to stuff like that. Unfortunately I've developed a really negative attitude since my MC and I don't think of getting pregnant again I think of having another MC again, if that makes sense.
Everyone else is right though....today you are pregnant.

DulcetMoans · 25/01/2015 14:24

Great tips la! Will be referring to you when the time comes. One of mine is being weird today already, think something happened when she was out this morning.

Looks lovely jelly, hope you enjoy the planning! Hope you've got a good team for the planning. All ok here, thanks for asking. Just waiting for next scan, there's just as much waiting when you are pregnant as TTC! Friends coming for cuppa in a minute and we will be telling - find it really awkward!

Will clearly need photos of this new kitten rachel! Good luck getting them both together, can be tough at first but you'll get there.

rachelrawrrr · 25/01/2015 14:31

I'll post a photo of them Smile may not be tonight, but I'm not sure, the woman doesn't finish work till tonight and I'm unsure if she can drop her off, as I don't drive! My Pixie is quite a friendly cat and by the sounds of it, this other cat is too, so I'm hoping they'll be firm friends soon enough! Grin

Muddytoes1 · 25/01/2015 14:41

Question for you lovely viroids. I'm supposed to be running an off road half marathon in Feb. I do a lot of running but will be 8dpo and wondered what your thoughts are on this. If I was pregnant I would still run but not that far so should I avoid those distances when twotting? I normally find a half marathon fairly strenuous but can manage them without too much difficulty (unlike the full thing). Have a feeling I know what I should (or shouldn't) do but its that whole putting your life on hold for ttc that's getting me. What do you reckon?

Stoat today you are pregnant Smile

ChatEnOeuf · 25/01/2015 15:06

Muddy the advice during pregnancy is not to do anything new so I would take that to mean you'd be fine to run.

Stoat today you are pregnant. I bleed every time I'm pregnant, some cling on, some don't...no pain, not lots - both good signs.

My cat reacted well to pregnancy and babies - very snuggly with the bump, competed for lap-space with the baby but never interfered with her unless I was there too. One swipe, once, but DD did pull her tail... :)

batfish · 25/01/2015 15:15

muddy it's a tricky one as like you said it is totally putting your life on hold to avoid anything in case you are pregnant - personally I haven't changed anything and don't plan to up to the point that I get my BFP but I know some people like to act as they would do if they were pregnant so it's really a personal choice. I would imagine that if you do a lot of running then you are fine to go ahead but I'm no doctor!
