Well I'm just waiting for AF to show up and the timings mean I miss January all together. Anyone out there who would like to join me in trying for a BFP in February? :)

CoffeeTwo, 31, ttc #2, cycle 6, BFP due 10th February.

jss I think the advice is every other is the best option. I remember reading that too often and it dilutes the amount of sperm in each 'shot' as it were!

mummyofonesofar · 12/01/2015 17:01

Yeah I read every other gives him time to recharge!
My DS was a 'surprise' so hopefully it will be just as easy this time round Grin

nightandthelight · 12/01/2015 17:50

Sitting in the sexual health clinic waiting for my coil to be removed, have been waiting over an hour now! Would have preferred the GPs but they weren't able to offer me an appt this century (slight exaggeration :p).

Sorry for the update just bored!

mummyofonesofar · 12/01/2015 18:49

I would say 'have fun' but not sure it's quite the right gesture! Blush

nightandthelight · 12/01/2015 18:53

It's out! :)

mummyofonesofar · 12/01/2015 18:56

Will your cycles change now?

Treating myself to the last of the mulled wine tonight to celebrate our decision to try earlier after doing the Beavers run! Grin

nightandthelight · 12/01/2015 18:58

Yay for celebration :) well the length of AF increased when I had it in and the doc seemed to think it would go back to my pre coil AF of five days so that would be awesome :) as it has no hormones though I think the changes are quite minimal.

mummyofonesofar · 12/01/2015 19:01

Brilliant! Shame you had to go and get it out in the sexual health clinic but at least it's done now.

Having my implant out was odd as I work for the NHS and work don't know we are going to try but obviously now someone I work with will know as she is also my GP. Hmm

nightandthelight · 12/01/2015 19:07

Yeah I was worried about that, the clinic is on the same site as the hospital where I work so I ducked in and out as surreptiously as possible!

EEvans · 12/01/2015 19:34

Hi all.

I was wondering if any one had experience implantation bleeding before? AF came as predicted by Ovia on Saturday, seemed normal in "volume" (ick I know) for two days but today has been super super light.

I had assumed implantation bleeding would be more like light spotting but then I read a post on MN about someone mistaking it for AF and then being pregnant.

Any thoughts? Confused

mummyofonesofar · 12/01/2015 19:44

No experience myself but would wait a few days then test. I had a weird cycle in October similar to that. Ended up as nothing but worth checkingSmile

QueenofKelsingra · 12/01/2015 20:00

no experience of implantation bleeding but if it is implantation it will be 4-5 days before a test will be positive - I looked at this last month when I thought I was having implantation but was actually just AF starting to turn up early.

EEvans · 12/01/2015 20:28

Thanks all. I'm sure it's nothing but my brain just clamps down on any potential symptoms and just won't let go! Lol! Smile

BabyBumpHopeful · 13/01/2015 02:09

nightandthelight Congrats on getting your coil out!

jss84 with regard to DTD... we're doing the "spread the wealth" method so doing it EOD. I don't think DH or I could handle every day to be honest :P

EEvans agree with the others that testing just to be sure would be your best bet. I know implantation varies from person to person. It might not be implantation but it could be anything else as some women report a "light period" during pregnancy (well, especially those who didn't know they were pregnant).

FWIW my Ob said that when trying to get pregnant you should do a test periodically anyway just to make sure that you're not pregnant and mistook implantation for a period.

I've made changes to the stats based on the info above and attached it for those interested. very exciting :)

Well AF seems to have disappeared again although I feel very bloated and have awful backache.
Austral - good to hear a non-horror story about coming off cerazette! Fingers crossed it won't be too bad. Do you mind me asking how long you were on cerazette for? I've been on it since July and had a rubbish time - bleeding/spotting almost non stop.
Night - as AF seems to have gone, I was kind of hoping last night might be the start of ttc but DH and I both fell asleep within about 2 secs of getting into bed!

nightandthelight · 13/01/2015 08:16

Sounds just like me and DH Millie, asleep by 10 last night :s really hope AF is gone properly for you now and you can get to work with TTC today!

Thanks for the new stats baby bump, all looks very exciting and real now. Fx crossed this is a lucky month!

mummyofonesofar · 13/01/2015 08:22

Thanks for the stats. So far I'll be the last to know! OH said last night if we don't conceive the next 2 cycles we are taking a month out because he's want want a December baby with the expense of a birthday on top of Christmas.

QueenofKelsingra · 13/01/2015 09:09

mummy I am wondering similar, I have a January child and its a pain from the cost point of view, and the getting parties etc organised in time! I think I may try and miss December if we haven't caught by then.

on course so far for this month, 2 x DTD so far, day off today! I should be OV'ing today or tomorrow I think. EWCM yesterday, a bit still today. fingers crossed!

mummyofonesofar · 13/01/2015 09:12

My 3rd cycle from now would give an estimate due date of 23 dec. I find my September DC hard enough to organise a party so soon after the schools are back.

DizzyNorthernBird · 13/01/2015 10:41

babybump loving the stats table!

Queen and mummy it's a pain having to think that far ahead isn't it. I'm already conscious of the fact that if Feb is successful, then an Oct baby will be expensive as it's my birthday, my nephews birthday plus my mums in November. Then obviously Christmas.... I'm hoping dp doesn't clock on to this though as I don't want to delay things at my age.

Well I'm finally getting closer to fertile window! Cd14 now and this time last month I had ewcm. Didn't see any today though and ovia doesn't show start of window until the weekend. I just want to get going though! Need to time dtd right though, I asked dp yesterday if he thought he could manage every day and he started laughing!

Annoyingly I'm on evening shifts next week which will fall around ov time if ovia is correct.... This means I don't get to see dp for 3 days because our shifts overlap and I don't get home until very late. Grrr.

DizzyNorthernBird · 13/01/2015 11:03

Ugh, I'm even more annoyed now. Ovia has my fertile period starting on 18th to 23rd. Period tracker says it's this Thurs 15th to 21st with ovulation on 20th....this is my second day of late shift which means it's very unlikely we'll get to dtd around the time of ov.

Last month I thought Ovia had predicted late which means there's a good chance that period tracker is correct.

Damn this is frustrating business!!! Sad

RhiannonElward · 13/01/2015 11:32

Well just went to docs and told him about last month's lateness and spotting and he's doing another pregnancy test. I've done two at home, both bfn, so am trying very hard not to get my hopes up. This ttc is emotionally draining, I'm becoming a crazy person.

mummyofonesofar · 13/01/2015 11:46

I think we all become crazy! After I had implant out I spent months convincing myself that condoms had failed as soon as my (.)(.) were tender and testing every month AF was a day later than I thought it would be!

Not tried yet but already ordering the mother are catalogue and asking for anyone who goes past a toys r us to grab me a book so I can choose the cot!

Madness

RhiannonElward · 13/01/2015 11:58

Haha mommy, I completely understand. I realised my period was late last month and stayed up til 2am choosing names and looking in mothercare for a travel system. Perfectly normal behaviour, of course....

RhiannonElward · 13/01/2015 12:00

Oops that ought to say mummy, sorry!
