Well I'm just waiting for AF to show up and the timings mean I miss January all together. Anyone out there who would like to join me in trying for a BFP in February? :)

CoffeeTwo, 31, ttc #2, cycle 6, BFP due 10th February.

Hello, can I join the bus please?

I'm 32, cycle 3, 1dc.

AF hasn't shower up yet, due today. But tests are bfn and I just know I'm not pregnant.

hope that February is our lucky month!

loopylou1984 · 11/01/2015 22:18

Hi allthefours - thank you for your story.
My 15 cycles are aprox 14 months as fairly regular but not even a sniff of a bfp.... Well except an agonising blurry line on an ic once which came to nothing. Fingers crossed this is our month! Xx

RhiannonElward · 11/01/2015 23:02

To hell with it, I'm getting on if you don't mind. I'm a bit up in the air at the minute, last months period late and light, lasting one day(?) but two bfns persuade me to give up on this cycle.

We've been not trying really, just not using protection for a while, but after af rudely keeping me waiting, I worked out that my period was 7 days late and within 24 hours or realising this had names chosen and picked a pram. Yes, I admit it, I am prone to over-excitement. So the crushing blow of the bfns has made for a ramping up of efforts this month, just as soon as I've seen the GP about all this spotting. My period ought to be next due around 3rd Feb, and I'm ttc number 3. I already have a boy who's 5 on thursday and a daughter age 2.

BabyBumpHopeful · 11/01/2015 23:45

I'd love to join, BFP due 7th Feb.

Stats are:

BabyBumpHopeful, 31, TTC#1, cycle 1, CD13 (39 day cycle)

We're not testing OV or anything like that right now (I did that last year after my implanon was removed to ensure I ovulate, and it appears I do, and the pain reminds me that I do :P) and are instead doing the "Spread the Wealth" method.

BabyBumpHopeful · 12/01/2015 01:52

I've attached the stats (thanks to nightandthelight) in "BFP due" order

I removed those we didn't have stats for so we didn't throw anything off... in less than a month all the ones with BFP dates will know yay or nay... CRAZY!!

Good luck to all of us!

RhiannonElward · 12/01/2015 02:02

Forgot to give my age, I'm 33, is that all you need to add me to the list? :)

BabyBumpHopeful · 12/01/2015 02:24

Sorry I totally missed your post, do you know what cycle day you are? Will add you now :)

accidentaldancer · 12/01/2015 06:41

Thanks babybump - is exciting to see the list.

browneyedgirl86 · 12/01/2015 06:46

Thanks babybump for the list!

nightandthelight · 12/01/2015 06:55

Thanks baby bump, my BFP is actually due around Valentine's Day (sorry to mess up your list). Will be able to give a definite date in about a week :)

MillieMoodle · 12/01/2015 07:40

Well, AF seems to have returned for me. I came off cerazette last Saturday, had a withdrawal bleed that was more like spotting on Monday/Tuesday. Then nothing. Now backache, stomach cramps and more bleeding. Very annoying!
From what I've read, coming off cerazette can be a bit of a nightmare so will just have to wait and see.

nightandthelight · 12/01/2015 08:02

Hopefully the return of a 'real' AF is a sign that fertility is returning to normal though Millie :)

QueenofKelsingra · 12/01/2015 09:11

thanks babybump . I'm 30 if you want to add that too!

can someone give me a rundown of how OV sticks work/what you do? I'm wondering about them for next cycle if this one doesn't work? (impatient? me?)

browneyedgirl86 · 12/01/2015 09:43

I'm also wondering about ov sticks and how it all works. Seems very confusing!

DizzyNorthernBird · 12/01/2015 10:12

Cheers baby bump & night for the stats!

On the topic of opks, I started using them last month and decided to go for the cheap ones (onestep) off amazon too see how I get on with them. I wasn't using them consistently so had much confusion on the results & in comparison to the predictions given on my ovia app. So I would say, if you're thinking of using them, try and be consistent, ie use a similar time each day & be consistent in how long you hold on before weeing and collecting your sample etc.

The instructions are pretty explanatory and simple to follow, on mine you test between 10.00-20.00 and avoid too many fluids/visiting the loo for two hours before testing. The pack contains a chart which tells you when in your cycle to start testing based on cycle length, and explains how to read the results. The thing to bear in mind is that you get a positive reading in the 24-36 hrs (I think) before ovulation.....so probably not a good idea to wait on the pos result before dtd as you'll have missed a few fertile days by that point. So it's probably best to use the sticks alongside a fertility app and monitoring your bodily symptoms.

I'm hoping I'll have more luck with them this month! If not next month I may look at bbt charting!

MillieMoodle · 12/01/2015 13:15

Night - I do hope so! Just want AF to be gone so DH and I can get on with it though!

nightandthelight · 12/01/2015 13:17

I know exactly how you feel Millie! I am desperate for when my next AF is over and we can get cracking, two weeks to go for me though :( hopefully yours will be over soon!

australopithecus · 12/01/2015 14:26

Millie just a positive spin. I came off cerazette and except for the period I got didn't have any bad symptoms. So maybe it will just be this one bad one for you and you will bounce back asap! :) I also conceived on my first cycle after coming off, so don't feel like it will definitely be all doom and gloom. It might turn out okay for you!

SchnitzelvonKrumm12 · 12/01/2015 15:03

Can I join please ladies. Although you'll have to bare with me, I'm new to all this.

AF made her appearance 11th Jan. Have been ttc since Oct, although not 'seriously'. We thought we'd take the relaxed approach due to having a prem baby in 2012 and wanting any future pregnancies to be stress free. Stepping it up a bit now (although not temping or using opks) and feeling guilty as I'm due to be a bridesmaid in the summer, whoops!

Stats are:
SchnitzelvonKrumm12, ttc#2, cycle 4, bfp due 11th Feb

mummyofonesofar · 12/01/2015 15:27

Soo, I have been hovering as we agreed to wait until first week of March ovulation to start trying. But I have just been given the green light to start on the next cycle! Grin AF due to come 23/1 then onto trying as soon as she has gone. So please can I be on the list. 22, TTC #2, cycle #1, BFP due 19/02!

nightandthelight · 12/01/2015 15:37

Yay mummyofone :) glad that there is someone else towards the middle of Feb, thought that I was going to be along on the bus by that point! Really struggling with the patience to wait till the end of Jan to start trying.

mummyofonesofar · 12/01/2015 15:52

I was struggling to wait too. As I had the implant out in April/June time and we have been biding out time working out cycles etc. Another month was too long to wait. It's hard to decide as we have a trip booked the second week of Oct. But with my first I flew back from Spain at 35+3 so what's a 2 hour car journey away at 7 weeks?

Getting ahead of myself hoping for a BFP first time around but I do get overly excited! Blush

mummyofonesofar · 12/01/2015 15:52

oops - at *37 weeks

jss84 · 12/01/2015 15:58

What are people's views on how often to do the deed? I don't want it to be too forced, but is once every couple of days okay or should it be everyday during the fertile period?

nightandthelight · 12/01/2015 16:05

Me too :( so hopeful for first time round but MN has made me realise that it probably won't be! It does happen though so we can stay optimistic :)
