Well I'm just waiting for AF to show up and the timings mean I miss January all together. Anyone out there who would like to join me in trying for a BFP in February? :)

CoffeeTwo, 31, ttc #2, cycle 6, BFP due 10th February.

Hope if got all that right! I'm still getting used to all the acronyms! Smile

jss84 · 11/01/2015 00:22

Hi all. My stats are 30, TTC#1, cycle 1, BFP due around 8th Feb I think.

Keyhawk · 11/01/2015 00:37

Please can I join?! We are going on holiday on 14/2/15 and are planning to start that week!! I'll be fertile from around the 20th and then AF would be due 6/3/15 (ish). Will be our first cycle. Have been off the pill for a year, using condoms. Wanted the pill out of my system. I am 24, DH is 28!
Look forward to sharing journey with you x

mummyofonesofar · 11/01/2015 10:18

Don't know which bus to join.. Next ovulation date to try on due to timing around birthdays etc is 5 March but if we manage to fall pregnant we count 40 weeks from ldp which is Feb but BFP due March.
Wanting to feel part of something!Smile

DizzyNorthernBird · 11/01/2015 10:27

Come join us mummy! No one minds, I'm still posting on jan bus too even though my long cycle means I miss jan entirely!

mummyofonesofar · 11/01/2015 10:32

In which case 22 TTC #2 Grin

Marmite27 · 11/01/2015 11:23

Just booking a ticket at the moment. AF IS DUE 31st Jan, so FX. I won't need it!

If/when I get here my stats will be:
34 TTC #1 C6/CD?

loopylou1984 · 11/01/2015 12:15

Allthefours - I notice you're on cycle 15 too, but ttc no. 4... Do you mind me asking if your other babies took over a year to conceive? Mumsnet is giving me hope that it's more common than I thought to be ttc over a year. X

loopylou1984 · 11/01/2015 12:15

Thanks night for the stats Smile

browneyedgirl86 · 11/01/2015 14:48

Hi and welcome to all the new people!

I'm still not used to all the abbreviations myself so apologies!

I'm 28 ttc#1 in mumsnet terms this is my first cycle I have been tracking, we had been trying for a wee while before that but so far no luck. Bfp is due on February 4th

TeenieDeenie · 11/01/2015 15:57

Thanks for the stats night Smile Still awaiting AF, after a mc seems to be the only time you actuallyWANT AF to come!!!

accidentaldancer · 11/01/2015 15:58

Hi ladies,

Hoping I can hop on and join you on the Feb bus. AF arrived today so trying to stay positive and look forward to the next chance. I'm 31, ttc#1, cycle #5, BFP 8 Feb.

Finger's crossed that Feb is a lucky month!

australopithecus · 11/01/2015 16:43

Well done, night Flowers

nightandthelight · 11/01/2015 16:48

Thank you ladies, wasn't a problem :) so excited to get my coil out tomorrow! Too late in this cycle to have any chance though so am actually desperate for AF to arrive which is a first. Still just over a week away though :( have got the ovia app and it is telling me that my fertile time is straight after AF (have 26 day or there abouts cycle with 8 day AF). Does that seem right to people?

mummyofonesofar · 11/01/2015 17:35

You ovulate roughly 14 days after stat of AF. And as your AF lasts 8 days it seems reasonable that you DTD as much as possible the week after as you will ovulate towards the end as sperm lasts a while swimming around getting lost that way you may have a ready supply of them the moment you ovulate.

nightandthelight · 11/01/2015 17:38

Thanks mummy :) shouldn't be hard to persuade DH after 8 days of nothing due to AF!

mummyofonesofar · 11/01/2015 17:46

You're welcome. Good luck!

nightandthelight · 11/01/2015 17:49

Thank you :) I know that lots of people have said it before but I just can't quite get my head around having been told my whole life how easy it is to get accidentally pregnant and now realising the reality of it! So much more complex than I ever thought.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 11/01/2015 17:55

It's not really 14 days after AF. You ovulate roughly 14 days before your next AF. I used to have 45 day cycles which meant I ovulated about day 31.

mummyofonesofar · 11/01/2015 17:56

It's ok. I have a 6yo DS yet only found out this week that the 40 week pregnancy is actually the 38 weeks after you ovulate plus the 1 week AF plus 1 week trying.

nightandthelight · 11/01/2015 17:59

Ok well that makes sense in terms of what Ovia is telling me about my fertile period :) tbh am just going to try to dtd as much as possible!

mummyofonesofar · 11/01/2015 18:02

In an average 28 day cycle you can work it out either way. My cycle is 27 days so I ovulate about 13 days after start of AF.Smile

Allthefours · 11/01/2015 18:12

sammylou with my first 2 I conceived whilst still on the pill (albeit not taking it properly), my 3rd took around 6-7 months to conceive. I think the different now is that I'm so much older and have was diagnosed with PCOS around 11 years ago (my others are 20, 18 and 15) and I turned 40 last year. Baby #4 is with new husband. My cycle 15 spans over 2 years due to my long cycles and I had 2 MC last year.

I suppose I can almost explain to myself why it's taking so long, doesn't help when I conceived relatively easily previously. I have realised that it's just as common to take a while to conceive as is not.

QueenofKelsingra · 11/01/2015 18:32

guybrush that must have been frustrating to have cycles of that length.

Used to bug me no end that my cycles were shorter (normally 26 days) but once I started TTCing I realised it was a blessing - less time to wait to try again! at least that's what I'm telling myself as I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

crazypuglady · 11/01/2015 19:09

Can I join? On cycle 2/3 (wasn't really trying the first month as I didn't think I'd actually go back to having a cycle so quickly after 10 years on the pill)

First month temping. I didn't want to get serious so quickly but I'm showing no signs of ov-ing so hoping to see a nice temperature rise in 2 weeks time to put my mind at ease.

BFP due 5/2
