Well I'm just waiting for AF to show up and the timings mean I miss January all together. Anyone out there who would like to join me in trying for a BFP in February? :)

CoffeeTwo, 31, ttc #2, cycle 6, BFP due 10th February.

Thanks spinning and to you :)

loopylou1984 · 26/01/2015 09:57

So annoyed that I missed proper testing time!! Wanted to properly track my temperature pattern! ????

CoffeeTwo · 26/01/2015 10:09

sammy I'm on my first month of temping and I can never seem to take it at the right time. Depending on toddler DS, my work and DH's work I'm awake at different times every day. I'm still tracking it though as the temps seem very similar so I'm hoping it'll do the trick. Really I just want some confirmation that I am actually ovulating.

Do you temps normally vary a lot depending on the time?

Sammy, there's an online temp adjuster if you don't take it at the right time.

Just booked cd4 bloods for Wednesday. That will be all our tests done so hopefully get appointment at hospital before too long.

crazypuglady · 26/01/2015 10:15

Well done ibeka

Still no egg here Hmm CD19 and I'm a regular 28 dayer so looks like the stupid pill has done a bloody lovely job on my ovaries Angry

ibeka · 26/01/2015 10:18

purdey Flowers for your dentist trip - I had root canal a few months ago and the actual procedure was far less traumatic than the waiting/worrying!

babybump, think my stats need updating. If I OVed yesterday that would make my bfp 8th February?

ibeka · 26/01/2015 10:19

crazy you never know... Maybe just be a longer cycle?

ibeka · 26/01/2015 10:22

Oh and night, hooray for auntie F! Are you going to do temping?

crazypuglady · 26/01/2015 10:24

ibeka I have no idea what's going on but I've had EWCM for the last 7 days after having virtually none for the last 3 months.

I think I got my hopes up that going straight back into a 28 day cycle meant that the pill had come out of my system. After 10 years of fake hormones I should have expected it to be a bit less straight forward.

PurdeyBirdie · 26/01/2015 10:25

Spinning, great news about Wednesday.

I don't mind returning to the dentist, it's more time to chat on here without feeling guilty about the baby Grin

crazypuglady · 26/01/2015 10:27

Coffee I'm having the same trouble. I barely slept last week for coughing but even on a normal week I work shifts so taking it at the same time each day is going to be difficult. I'm hoping that taking it after a solid block of sleep within a window of about 3 hours will do the trick.

nightandthelight · 26/01/2015 10:31

Thanks ibeka :) for the first 2-3 months am just going to go with the eod plan. Of that doesn't work will probably look into temping etc :)

australopithecus · 26/01/2015 10:34

spinning an online temp adjuster? But how would it know? What if it was a cold morning and you forgot your slippers when you went to make tea? Or DC threw up all over you and you had to have a quick shower? Hmm

spinningirl10 · 26/01/2015 10:51

Austral, it will only adjust temp if say you usually take it at 6 but you wake early or later and you input temp and time and adjust itGrin obviously if you've taken it after you got out of bed or you've had interrupted sleep it won't be accurate anyway.

Sparkly123 · 26/01/2015 11:01

Spinning good luck with the bloods, good step forward. Flowers

Purdey ah the lovely dentist Hmm enjoy that delight!! Here's some Cake for later!

My day 21 bloods were 28.6 and then 30.8 and 30.6 (these were taken three months in a row on day 21) I always thought it was to be over 30 too but fertility clinic told me 20?? Either way.. Day 21 ain't the problem it's after that the spotting starts which is what worries me. Oh and someone slap me- I was feeling positive yesterday after our first trial AI post mc, but somehow when googling for info, I have the fear!.. I found many people say you must wait two-three months or it could happen again due to the lining not being ready to facilitate a pregnancy so soon after the mc.. WHAT!!! Sad i hope this is inaccurate!! Anyone ????

PurdeyBirdie · 26/01/2015 11:17

Sparkly, it does depend on which doctor you see whether they use

tessiegirl · 26/01/2015 11:18

Morning all!
So after last nights debate whether or not to dtd we decided not to but we did early this morning instead as we have decided to try a different pattern of dtd this month as clearly dtd nearly everyday last month didn't work so.... Another High fertility this morning and I'm hoping tomorrow I may get 1st peak on Clearblue tomorrow... Hmm

Can I just say Purdey, thank you so much for going out of your way to find those charts on Fertility Friend for me. It really is great of you. One question regarding those charts - there is no way of knowing which dtd session in the lead up to ovulation actually produced the sperm that met the egg, is there?!!! So those ladies that dtd in the lead up and including their first peak day don't know if it was dtd on the peak day that did it or was sperm surviving from a couple of days before the peak!

PurdeyBirdie · 26/01/2015 11:19
PurdeyBirdie · 26/01/2015 11:30

That's spot-on, Tessie, there's no way of knowing which session of rumpy-pumpy has hit the jackpot. When I conceived in 2012 it was from sex we had on ovulation day (O), O-2 & O-4. Would you believe we have only repeated this exact pattern once in all that time? That pregnancy ended in mmc, you see, and I went crazy with desperation to fall preggo again and demanded sex on consecutive days leading up to ov. It never happened again for us (but that could be because of my age and having only one tube; perhaps that pregnancy was a rare one-off Sad).

I keep reading that every other day is best as the quality of sperm is better. I honestly think that ewcm and sperm that's a couple of days old has a great chance - but then I obsess over the charts on FF where the couple only had sex on ov day (or the day after!) and got pregnant! It's a ruddy brain-boggler.

PurdeyBirdie · 26/01/2015 11:32

Why have I lost the ability to post photos on here? The box where we write our messages has lost the options for posting photos Sad Anyone help?

Twinkletoes007 · 26/01/2015 11:35

ibeka sounds v promising! I need a new cycle twin now.

God knows what's going on with me at the moment. CD13 and no signs. Brown gunk mixed with ewcm. Neg OPKs (ok I lied I am still monitoring). I have more brown than red in my cycle generally so I reckon I'll soon discover I have got progesterone issues. Normally ov around CD16 but would be expecting by now to get some pure ewcm not the filthy mess I'm producing Confused

tessiegirl · 26/01/2015 11:38

Wow Purdey - and don't the swimmers need a bit of time to get in situ ready for the egg? I guess it all depends on when you dtd on ovulation day and when you actually ovulate on the day that the timing can just work out perfectly....bloody hell!! This is doing my head in! Confused Confused Confused. I actually sat down with DH last night with my chart to work out when to dtd and I thought 'what am I doing? This is taking all the fun out of it and turning it into some bloody obsessive scientific project'!! Angry

tessiegirl · 26/01/2015 11:40

Have you posted too many photos in a time period Purdey? I think you are only allowed to post 6 a day?

Sparkly123 · 26/01/2015 11:41

Purdey ok. I feel better. I started to have a wobble about whether it really was something to do with me that caused the mc rather than being the 1 in 5. Ok. Breathe, feel better, thank you Flowers must not let my positivity sway!!!

PurdeyBirdie · 26/01/2015 11:47

Thanks, Tessie, that may explain it. It's annoying as I have loads of charts to show you from the FF gallery where couples had sex only once - five days before ovulation! - and conceived Shock The body is a mystery and a tormentor.

You are right about sperm needing time to be in situ. I have read umpteen times that the figure is ten hours. It takes ten hours for the sperm to travel to its optimal position (the foot of the fallopian tubes) and for all its enzymes to gather their senses in order to be capable of fertilising the egg. So...it would be just perfect if we dtd exactly 24 hrs after our LH surge appeared and twelve hours before ov. That is impossible to achieve except without a shedload of luck..
