Well I'm just waiting for AF to show up and the timings mean I miss January all together. Anyone out there who would like to join me in trying for a BFP in February? :)

Hi rainy. Sorry to hear you've had a longish journey. Your cycles sound a lot like mine. They seem to range between 24 and 26 days and last few I seem to spot for about 3 days before. I haven't been on the pill for 8 years now. We only started trying last month.
I get ov cramps and have wondered if there is enough time for anything to stick before the spotting starts

I have no idea what my cycles were like pre pill as it was so long ago, but since stopping they have been short 24-26 days and a weird one of only 22 days. Ov either cd 13 or 14 and LP seems to have settled at 11 days. The cycle that only lasted 22 days I think my body geared up to ov on cd 13 but didn't manage it so ov cd 16 with LP of 6 days. Maybe that was the pill finally getting out of my system. I went to the drs and am waiting for the results of a 21 day blood test for progesterone. This cycle just gone was 25days with ov on cd14. I have found temping to be very useful in working all this out. Hope this is useful for you rainy. Oh I forgot the doc tried to dismiss my concerns with ' you have to be trying for 12 months ' - I told him only 6 if your over 35 then I got my charts out - so I think he only filled out the blood test form to get rid of me :).

Doc will laugh me out as we are only just trying. Also have history of chronic anxiety, so may be perceived as me over worrying it at an early stage...which may just be true

Rainy good luck At the Gp, def think it's a good idea to get that checked, so have even had the day 21 bloods yet? Or none at all??

Purdey upon reading your info re spotting to Rainy.. Ive been concerned for a while about my spotting pre AF. Can be from day 21 onwards but sometimes starts day 23 out of my 27/28 day cycles. Mine is brown creamy discharge usually a couple days or so, then more like brown blood which just gets darker until proper AF. I did have my day 21 bloods though and they came back satisfactory. So, my question is do you think spotting is ok then or is that not normal pre AF??? This last time -when I got the BFP - I had the same build up.. Spotting five days before due , getting heavier.. So bit concerned that may have caused the mc. My mind is prob just overthinking now, I just wonder whether my progesterone ain't right after day 21.. Or would this show In my charts? Twenty questions from me as per....!

Rumpy-pumpy is like one of my favourite words eeee-eever! I also have dreams of doing a bit of it in my own turnip in the countryside, but saving up is so hard.

Welcome rice :) I was just wondering whether you had any problems coming off the copper coil? Had mine out two weeks ago. AF due one week ago but have only had very light spotting. So frustrating!

mummy I am with you on being fed up with AF not happening. My BFP is not due anywhere near the 14th now :( was supposed to enter my fertile period this week so feeling quite down. Fx yours arrives soon!

I had quite a temp drop this morning at 8dpo. Not below the coverline, but .4 ish degrees. I wondering whether I should discard it though as it was an hour later than usual (dh slept through his alarm!)?

Well after my incredibly self pitying moan (so sorry for how I have been the last week) I got into the shower and AF arrived in all her full red glory :) so today is CD1 finally! Technically BFP due 21st Feb but that is when I am visiting family so unless AF arrives I will be testing on the 23rd. babybump if you are able to update my BFP to 23rd that would be amazing :)

Sammy I wouldn't discard it but try not to pin your hopes on it being implantation either.

Sparkly what was your prog score at day 21? If they didn't tell you ring the surgery today and ask the receptionist to tell you. If she dithers get all Rambo on her simpering ass. If the score is below 30, make an apptnt immediately and insist on help with prog deficiency (suppositories).

PurpleKoala, I love your gung-ho attitude! I used to feel inadequate going to the doctor until I realised they're on about £100k a year to listen to us and take us seriously.

I'm off to the dentist this morning for root canal. Flipping love the dentist, me (and I'm not kidding).

I have found an excellent article explaining how spotting can be a symptom of progesterone deficiency. Please don't panic if you see yourself on a couple of the symptoms list; I would only be concerned if you are regularly spotting for days before AF, or if you have short cycles with a luteal phase under eleven days, or if your cycles are long and erratic.

rainy, don't be afraid of the big bad GP, as Purdey says, knowledge is power. If whoever you've seen up to now has put you off, you could ask to see someone else? I have a friend who has been TTC for 2 years (pcos) and says she now normally asks to see the locum - apparently they often refer up quicker?!

No need to be sorry spinning haven't actually started TTC yet, was waiting for AF to arrive so that I can start this cycle so really quite happy it has arrived :) Can see that it is going to be frustrating waiting for it to be over though! Are we almost cycle buddies? When is your BFP due?

spinning I love the dullness of the first 7 days, no having to dtd, no symptom spotting... Bliss. Make the most of it!
