Well I'm just waiting for AF to show up and the timings mean I miss January all together. Anyone out there who would like to join me in trying for a BFP in February? :)

CoffeeTwo, 31, ttc #2, cycle 6, BFP due 10th February.

Twinkle it must have just hit you that it has become real and you are actively TTC. I assume you and your OH spoke about trying for quite a while before starting but if it was a rushed decision then maybe just tell him you're nervous. If you aren't comfortable trying yet then put it off for a while or maybe put less pressure on by not tracking ovulation and just have untimed fun for a while.

blondiewoowoo1 · 25/01/2015 09:28

Thanks purdey Smile

Rainy34 · 25/01/2015 09:32

Twinkle - The first month we decided to ttc i felt really nervous and worried too, i think it is natural to feel like this, its a big step , If you have thought about ttc for a while and decided that you both wanted to try now , I'm sure its just a little bit of nerves and you will be fine!!

Woke up this morning feeling a bit under the weather, hope i am not going to come down with something, as this is our fertile week and i don't want to be ill and f**k our chances!!,

WinterBabyof89 · 25/01/2015 09:34

twinkle it all becomes very real doesn't it, especially if you've tried to avoid pregnancy for many years!!
I never felt anxiety DTD but I was shaking like a leaf both times I had a BFP in my hands haha..
Good advice from mummy

ibeka · 25/01/2015 09:41

Morning all.

purdey, no temp rise :( Here is a pic of my chart so far... I also dug the OPKs out the bin and reassembled the cat-chewed one and here they are - top in Thursday, bottom fri. Beginning to worry I haven't/won't OV.

Twinkle, I think mummy and rainy have put it better than I could have done. Totally understand the nerves and excitement when you realise you're ttc for real, but of course talk to your dh and let him know if you're having a wobble and might want to leave it another month or two.

Well I am now joining those of you already on the 2ww - fx!

Twinkletoes007 · 25/01/2015 10:39

Thanks for the replies. Really appreciate it. We've been discussing TTC for a while but now it's here wow! He's totally relaxed about waiting but thinking about it I reckon I'll feel the same wherever- it is a big step! Sure the nerves will fade into crazy excitement soon and I'll be jumping him at any opportunity! mummy I'm definitely going to chill out on the tracking side of things for the time being and have a bit of fun. Think that could be putting too much pressure on too quickly.

rainy I hope you aren't getting ill and feel a bit better now Flowers

Good luck to those in TWW. Hoping this is your month Smile

crazypuglady · 25/01/2015 10:44

Ibeka your chart is a lot like mine. My temps are all over the place. On CD18 now and no obvious rise. In fact it's dipped quite a lot this morning. I've had a quite a bad cold this month though so think that's screwed my cycle up. Don't know whether today's dip is pre-empting a late ov today/tomorrow or whether it's just another random point on my random chart Hmm

Sparkly123 · 25/01/2015 10:48

Rainy hope you are feeling bit better soon and not getting ill. Last month when I got my BFP I was really ill with flu on our fertile week! Plus I'm ill pretty much all the time with chronic health problems and still managed to get pregnant. So do lots of people! So I really wouldn't worry about it affecting your chances! As long as u can dtd you are in with a chance! Flowers

twinkle agree with everyone about last minute nerves. Think a relaxed approach you are taking is a good idea too if that's what you feel most comfortable doing just now. Good luck!

crazypuglady · 25/01/2015 10:48

Duh forgot to attach my chart. I'd be grateful if any pros could interpret because it just looks a mess to me! Symptoms of lurgy started 17/1, at my worst on 21/1 and slowly feeling better since.

twinkle, I had similar thoughts last week whilst in a room full of old friends and their offspring. Then I looked around the room and realised how many of those friends had felt the same before their first DCs and what natural parents they are now. Talk it through with DP and remember that excitement and nerves are very similar feelings!

Twinkletoes007 · 25/01/2015 10:52

Thanks Sparkly and ibeka.

Positivity from me from here onwards I promise! Xx

kissinggiraffe · 25/01/2015 11:01

twinkle I feel the same and we're trying for baby #4!! A couple of weeks ago I wasn't sure if I wanted to carry on trying. It's a huge decision and I think nerves are natural.

I'm cd 10 or 11, can't really remember but we haven't dtd this cycle yet. Need to get on it tonight! We were going to try every 3 days but I'm thinking we should try eod.....although when we've done this before we burn out before ov!! Just not sure every 3 days seems enough.

DizzyNorthernBird · 25/01/2015 11:50

Morning all!

I'm still feeling the effects of a complete lack of symptoms here. Jeeezus the tww is painfully dull after the mad panic of dtd week. DP asked me yesterday when it would be time to go again (his latest idea is to dtd only around ov time to avoid him having another wibble like this month. I'm not convinced this is a good idea either though). So it's 26 days until I get another shot Sad....fx tightly that I won't have to worry about it.

Ovia says I can test in 3 days but AF isn't due for 9 days and I'd prefer to wait if I can ride out this boredom.

Sorry for the moaning!

mummy I'm originally from Carlisle so not too far from you, Penrith area is lovely, you're so lucky to be so close to the lakes Smile

Rainy34 · 25/01/2015 11:51

Thanks Sparkly and Twinkle, just not going to eat much today and hope it passes x

Hairstylisttoboris · 25/01/2015 12:01

Ladies... Need help. I have a positive opk today. how many hours/ days do we have left this month to try in?!

The only other DTD we've managed this month was Wednesday, other days we argued it fell out - it's been horrible.

Feeling desperate, cycle 7 hormones all over the place. I'm 36 and my clock is ticking louder than bloody Big Ben. Gaaaaah.

Hairstylisttoboris · 25/01/2015 12:07

Argued or fallen out, not it fell out. Can't even type today.

DizzyNorthernBird · 25/01/2015 12:09

hair from memory (of advice I've been given on here) the positive means the lh surge will happen in within 4 hours and ov will happen in next 12-36?

Maybe dtd today and tomorrow if you can.

Have you and DH sorted things out yet? X

Hairstylisttoboris · 25/01/2015 12:12

Thanks for the quick reply dizzy We keep falling out over pathetic stuff (exhausted reigns) it's nothing major, we are good right now, but can't gaurentee it will last. We have to hold it together for DSC who are here this weekend - we shall have to get them settled early tonight....

Sparkly123 · 25/01/2015 12:17

Hair sorry about the arguing! Always happens at the wrong time eh! Not that it is ever a right time I guess. I would try dtd today and Tomor if I were you and if you can- the next day! Don't worry still a chance if your OPK is today some People don't even start dtd until now!!

Dizzy sorry you are feeling so desperate. It's tough! The TWW is torture. But it's totally out of your control now, you just need to try your best to distract yourself until AF due! I would try not to poas early... Arghh wish we could all book a holiday every TWW that would fix everything! Ha ha. Moan away.. That's what we are all here for!! I really really hope you don't have to think about the TWW again and this is your month!!! Flowers

dojo123 · 25/01/2015 12:36

Hello. Just pooping on here to reserve my seat if that's ok.

My AF is not due until Wednesday and I have been symptom spotting like a mad woman for the past few days, though deep down I don't think it's worked this time as I don't 'feel' pregnant, not that I know what I'm meant to be feeling, but I'm sure you get the idea.

Anyway fx crossed for everyone else on here and I hope all our bus journeys end soon with BFPs.

Dojo 32 tct#1 cy#1 cd#24 BFP due 28/1

DizzyNorthernBird · 25/01/2015 12:37

Thanks sparkly, I've got a chicken to roast today so hopefully that should distract me! Then back to work tomorrow for the week so by the time next weekend comes around I'll consider whether to poas or hang on until the bitter end ha ha.

How is everything with you? Has the cramping subsided yet?

dojo123 · 25/01/2015 12:39

*popping not pooping that would be disgusting and wouldn't be surprised if you lovely ladies kicked me off for doing that on the bus! Wink

Cardabelle · 25/01/2015 12:44

For context of how well-stocked pharmacies are here, the one attached to the biggest private hospital didn't even have pregnancy tests. There's one half-decent pharmacy that usually has more specialist items, but they all but laughed when I asked about OPKs so I'd given up. However when I was in another pharmacy and lurking to avoid an awkward conversation about the folic acid and pregnancy tests I was buying with a colleague who I ran into outside, thought I might as well ask about them and ... success! Thanks for the encouragement everyone! I'd never have asked if not for your emphasis on sourcing them somehow.
They didn't have many so I have to ration them to the most likely times (hard since past 2 cycles Ovia says I OVd on CD10 and CD21 respectively. Terrific.) Currently CD 7 so I will wait a day or two till CM / ferning give a hint ovulation is imminent!

DizzyNorthernBird · 25/01/2015 12:48

fx for you too dojo, think I'm feeling the same. Funnily enough during cycle 1 despite completely cocking up the timing of dtd, by the time AF struck I had convinced myself I was pg due to various symptoms. This month I think in hindsight my timing was probably ok but due to complete lack of symptoms I've convinced myself I'm definitely not pg!
