Well I'm just waiting for AF to show up and the timings mean I miss January all together. Anyone out there who would like to join me in trying for a BFP in February? :)

CoffeeTwo, 31, ttc #2, cycle 6, BFP due 10th February.

Hello everyone and a big welcome to the newbies, also sorry to see so many of you coming from the Jan bus but great to see you all at the same time, if that makes sense! Confused

Feeling tired here as went out to DH work party last night...had a few more Wine than I had originally planned which led to me getting up doing karaoke Blush and singing 'Like A Virgin'!!!!!! Blush CD12 here and got first high fertility on CB this morning and I'm praying I ovulate earlier than last month which was CD21....come on ovaries!! Release that special egg!!!!!!

australopithecus · 24/01/2015 15:27

Sorry purdy just forgot! Am not yet forty and that is in my books aaa-aaall which matters! Grin
DC is also ten months! Was luckier than some though as it was an easy conception and smooth birth so am really fx for a repeat this time around.

BabyBumpHopeful · 24/01/2015 15:27

Purdey People were offline when I posted that so I did some googling and read:

Blood Pregnancy test: If you are pregnant then the blood pregnancy test is usually positive within 3-4 days after implantation or about 9-10 days after fertilization and ovulation.

Urine (Home HPT) Pregnancy Test: The early positive urine pregnancy test will usually not become positive until 2-3 days after the blood test, and in most women until a missed period or about a week after implantation. Many manufacturers of urine pregnancy tests want you to believe that the urine test is usually positive before a missed period, but only about 25% of pregnant women will test positive with the HPT 2 days before a missed period, and about 40% the day before the missed period.

So that's about 5-7 days after implantation but even then it shows that the stats for prior to missing a period are pretty low so I'm still hoping AF stays away and in another week or so I'll get a positive (which is closer to the date I think my period is actually due).

It's also still entirely possible that I'm imagining it all and should be sent immediately to the looney bin... do not pass go, do not collect $200.

BabyBumpHopeful · 24/01/2015 15:28

australopithecus I had you as 37... wonder where that came from then. Shall I change it?

australopithecus · 24/01/2015 15:32

No, 37 is fine. Just fine! You can make it 36 too. Or alright, 39 if you really really really want to. I don't mind. I'm trying very hard not to think about it. Actually, just make it 22. That'll subliminally convince my body it is young and trigger-happy on the egg front, right?! Right!? desperate
Just put indeterminate. Blush

tessiegirl · 24/01/2015 16:03

Thanks BabyBump, that is interesting info...

BabyBumpHopeful · 24/01/2015 16:03

F21 (Forever 21) it is!

mummyofonesofar · 24/01/2015 16:13

Yup another not quite CD1 here. So not much to report either. No spotting yet either. Yawn! Managed to convince OH to DTD last night - FOR FUN! So didn't quite make it to 2 weeks without any. Phew! Nice facial this morning too Smile

australopithecus · 24/01/2015 16:15

Oh yes yes! F21! Grin Wine

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/01/2015 16:26

Afternoon all, hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend?!

mummy, so if you live in the far north where the skies are always grey, and you head over the border to Gap, methinks you must live in or around my home town?!

So. Possibly around 6/7 dpo here?

I'd like some symptoms please. Anything will do. Please, just something for me to obsess over!!

Zero happening here Hmm

pocopearl · 24/01/2015 16:32

Hi all, I have come to join, I was a BFP on the jan bus but it was not meant to be. We had planned to give up ttc but this has given me a little hope. So rather optimistically going to be testing on 28th Feb as not sure what my cycle will do as yet. Have been trying for 16/17 months with 2mc's

mummyofonesofar · 24/01/2015 16:35

Great weekend so far Dizzy you? Got lots planned and jumped off my drinking ban wagon! I live in a little village near Penrith Smile moved here 19 months ago. Still getting used to the quietness!

mummyofonesofar · 24/01/2015 16:36

poco welcome. Sorry it wasn't meant to be. F-tightly-x this is your month for a really sticky one Thanks

Rainy34 · 24/01/2015 16:37

Spinning - Sorry to see AF has cruel visited you, and i am hoping to that this is the bus where we all get out bfp!!

Sparkly - Sorry again for your loss but glad to see you have hopped onto the bus!!!

Rainy34 · 24/01/2015 16:42

pulpi and Sparkly i am a fellow scot too but live in England, hope this does not blow my cover and people in non internet world figure out who i am lol

MillieMoodle · 24/01/2015 18:41

Hi ladies, I've been quiet on here for a few days as busy at work etc. I'm driving myself mad though with symptom spotting. I came off cerazette on 3rd Jan, had a light withdrawal bleed which went on (and off and on again) between 5th and 12th ish. DH and I have only dtd twice so far this month (on 15th and 18th), as we've both been poorly. I've no idea when/if I've ovulated. I've POAS a couple of times, even though it's far too early and obviously got bfn! Yesterday/today I've had cramps low down and have felt sick a couple of times this morning, plus a weird taste in my mouth. I am not going to test again until early Feb (pre-pill I had 35 day cycles but no idea if that would still be the same) but please help me pull myself together in the meantime!

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 19:08

Pocopearl, I am really sorry to hear your news and I know a lot of the ladies from the Jan bus will be equally sad for you Thanks

Sparkly123 · 24/01/2015 19:28

So sorry poco sending positive thoughts to you. What a time you have had, you very much deserve a sticky BFP. February is gonna be a lucky bus I can feel it!!! Always have hope Flowers

Dizzy plenty time for symptoms yet don't be worrying.. Easier said than done!!! Fingers crossed for you Flowers

Purdey I need that cake back ....Cake soooo hungry!!!

Rainy I think I knew that from before actually!! I know! Always wonder about blowing our cover on here...!!! Are we still kinda cycle buddies?? What cd you on?

spinningirl10 · 24/01/2015 19:58

Thanks RainySmile

Poco, I'm so sorry to see you back here and hear your sad news. It's very cruel but I'm pleased its given you hope. Hope is what keeps us all going. I really hope you get your sticky bfp soon Thanks

Rainy34 · 24/01/2015 19:58

Sparkly i am cd 11, this is the second month of using my clear blue fertility monitor , last month i got my first peak on cd 11, this month its my second day of high, so i think iv got a good four or five days before i ovulate, hopefully we are still in range of each other to be cycle buddies!!

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 20:07

Baby, I'm surprised at that figure of only 25% of women testing positive as late as two days before their period. I thought I'd post my IVF pregnancy chart from 2013 which shows the day my embryos were placed into my uterus (CD18, marked below the chart with a 'T' for transfer). The embryos that were transferred were top grade five-day hatching blastocycsts, but, even so, the embryologist told us that it would be another 48-36 hours until they implanted (if it was going to work). You can see from my huge rise in progesterone that implantation occurred on CD21, when HcG would start to be released into my blood stream.

I tested positive four days later but, although the line was faint, I knew it would've been visible the day before.

All Aboard the February Bus!
Giddymamma · 24/01/2015 21:16

Hello! Is there still room for me and all my stuff on the bus please?! Had my visit from af this week for the first time since my gorgeous (and still breastfeeding) little boy was born, we've been desperate to start ttc again so I'm very excited! I'm bringing pregnacare, cbafm, preseed(for the first time) and (shudder) a moon cup (not sure if that will get used - have read it will only catch duff spermies?!) onto the bus with me!!!

Stats- ttc#2, first cycle, 37, bfd due not sure, say 21 February? X

victoria401 · 24/01/2015 21:25

Hi all, sorry to hear your news poco :-(

I need some advice from Dr purdey please! I saw in a previous post you managed to improve your dh's sperm. My hubby's problem is low morphology, what can I force down his throat? Although the clinic has told us not to take supplements, apart from folic acid...

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 22:04

Hi Giddy how old is your baby?

Victoria, yes we were astonished to be told by the IVF clinic that DH's morphology had gone from 3% to 21% and volume from 16 million to 59 million....in just six months! My DH smokes, too Hmm I made him take co-enzyme Q10, zinc and forced him to eat Brazil nuts for the selenium. This time around, and after doing more research, I'm chucking l'arginine down his throat, too.

BabyBumpHopeful · 24/01/2015 22:10

Okay so today I was talking to DH about telling family (when the time comes [hopeful]) and I've been having a bit of family drama and where before this I'd be telling my family as soon as I knew (excluding a siblings I and the others dislike for very valid reason)... now I know I'll have to wait.

So anyway, I said to DH "If I tell mum, she'll tell evil sibling and evil sibling will be hoping that something bad happens and I just don't want that negative energy out there". He laughed and said (in not so many words) that I sounded nuts :( You girls understand what I mean don't you? Even though rationally I know negative thoughts don't mean anything and don't affect anything, I just can't help feeling like I don't want it out there until I've at least hit the 12 week mark. Evil sibling will, no doubt, be ecstatic is if something happens. Just that evil (though mum doesn't believe me or other siblings and has been brain washed - hence the family drama).
