Well I'm just waiting for AF to show up and the timings mean I miss January all together. Anyone out there who would like to join me in trying for a BFP in February? :)

CoffeeTwo, 31, ttc #2, cycle 6, BFP due 10th February.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome back!! I think I may OV next weekend if my body kicks back into gear... We shall see. Just deciding what day to start again

Queen sorry to hear you haven't been so well!! But yeh at least the TWW has been quicker for you!!! Really hope it brings you a BFP but if not, like you say.. You have another chance! Fingers crossed though!!!

Sweets27 · 24/01/2015 11:11

Welcome spinning and sparkly! So sorry to hear about the mc, sparkly, fx that Feb is your month Flowers

Queen let's hope you get the bfp on the first try!

I am cross this morning OH totally uninterested in DTD even though I'm pretty sure I am ovulating right now, and we haven't DTD since Thursday night. Humph. Angry Turning into crazy lady...

Sparkly123 · 24/01/2015 11:12

Babybump hi! Thanks for the welcome. I'm just trying to work out my stats but then yep if you can add me to the seating plan that be great!!! V day--- Mmm... A BFP would be nice?! Ha. I'm not very well at the moment. I have from chronic health issues and unfortunately this mc has totally floored me so can barely put one foot in front of the other just now so will just see how it all goes before making plans. Have the dh bday before that too Confused

Spinning noooo! Stupid stupid AF!! Sorry to hear that. February! It's all about February! I'm rooting for you.Flowers

Winterbaby sorry I can't help with cervix position I don't have any idea!!! Sure someone else here will be more informed though!

pulpi · 24/01/2015 11:15

Nice to see you again, sparkly, even though the circumstances suck.

AF finally arrived after (possibly) my longest cycle ever. Off for a lovely walk in the Scottish winter sun to buy some yarn for baby clothes and maybe take my mind off (at least temporarily) my crazy uterus.

WinterBabyof89 · 24/01/2015 11:20

sweets pretty sure ds was a result of me turning into a crazy lady .. I had EWCM, ov time, ready to DTD, show him the best time of his baby making life, he rejected me, I sulked, went into the shower & then OH must have spent that shower time to reflect on how much of a dick he was being.. He caved & bfp 12 days later.. How romantic haha!
Ttc makes us crazy - all guilty of it at some stage or another Smile

Thanks anyway sparkly xxx

Sparkly123 · 24/01/2015 11:21

Sweets27 · 24/01/2015 11:36

Aww thanks winterbaby, that's a great story to keep me positive!

And tango thanks, you are totally right. Must keep everything in perspective! Is Just we have quite a busy weekend so not sure when we'll next get the chance... But yes. Calm thoughts. This is only cycle 1 for me after all!

QueenofKelsingra · 24/01/2015 11:44

thanks sparkly and sweets . I will be testing early just on the off chance as it's DH's birthday on 31st so would love to give him a BFP test for his birthday! wishful thinking I expect though.

sweets I suggest plying DH with alcohol!

winter I love that story!

Sparkly123 · 24/01/2015 11:48

Right. Im doing this. My stats:

Sparkly123, age 30, TTC #1, Cycle 5 ( or do I count from 1 again after mc?!?!) my Sparkly BFP is due 13/14th Feb. If my cycle switches back to the norm...!

There. I'm back in the game!

nightandthelight · 24/01/2015 12:04

AF still in the light spotting stage so don't think that I can count as CD1 yet right? Rather annoyingly it looks as though my bfp will be due while I am away visiting family without my DH. Will have to hold out for the 23rd Feb or test early on the 18th and hope for the best. Just waiting for AF to get herself into gear for now though :)

Welcome back Sparkly, so sorry to hear of your loss but fx crossed for a sticky bean this month!

Sparkly123 · 24/01/2015 12:12

Thanks night I was always told to count cd 1 as the day of proper red blood full flow. Hope that helps! Hope you can hold off to test- will give you a more accurate result too!!

nightandthelight · 24/01/2015 12:19

Will do my best to hold off :) Definitely don't want to in a different country to my DH when I test! My family will just have to think I am crazy for a weekend :p being there will be a good distraction though :)

Thanks for the advice on CD1, think that will be tomorrow then. Am just glad that it is arriving :)

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 12:20

Pa ha! Everyone from t'January bus is too shy to come over here. Plus we don't feel we have owt to talk about 'cos we're, like, CD1 and stuff. My advice is to enjoy the peace before the nutters come except I'm already here

Boris, if you pop over to the Jan thread I've very recently posted a link about maca root, but generally speaking it is becoming the supplement for TTC-ers. This is because it is proving to have a real effect upon the endocrine system: pituitary and adrenal glands, which regulate oestrogen, progesterone and a host of other things. It is packed with protein and amino & fatty acids. The Journal of Human Reproduction reports results from rigorous testing which included excellent sperm improvement - astonishingly results from rat experiments showed improvement in sperm after only one day - and egg quality.

nightandthelight · 24/01/2015 12:29

Have you told them we don't bite purdey? Also I am only just about to hit CD1 (as I believe is mummy) so they won't be alone :)

Sparkly123 · 24/01/2015 12:30

Purdey us maniacs have arrived. The lovely lot over here don't know what they have let themselves in for! Sorry in advance all! Wink

ibeka · 24/01/2015 12:37

Sweets - all I can say is... snap! No interest since thurs, when I basically had to sulk to get it...! Today I suggested it - No joy. Oh how the tables have turned - guess this is my pay back for years of a lower sex drive than him!!!

sparkly - sorry to see you back with us but welcome back aboard. FX for a lucky bus!

I need some CM advice - had EW/watery early in the week. Then nothing. Then positive OPKS thurs pm and last night (c.9pm both nights). Now creamy CM?! WTF is my body doing? Anyone like to hazard a guess?!! Dr. Purdey?!

Oh, and don't worry Jan folk - I think we may be maniacs over here already ;)

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 12:50

Ibeka, please can you post photos of those positive opks? That's if you still have them. Was the test line darker than the control? A true LH surge only lasts approx 4 hrs so I suspect your true surge happened Thursday (if indeed the test line was darker than the control) and you ov'd yesterday. Creamy cm is very common after the egg has been released and can be seen as ovulatory discharge. I would suggest your ewcm earlier in the week was warning you to get some rutting done.

ibeka · 24/01/2015 13:29

Thanks Purdey. I binned one, the other my cat chewed up....! (Yuk. He's a very strange cat). Thurs was the same colour as the test line, yesterday's was darker. They are the cheap green sticks from Amazon.... Been temping and no rise yet. Went from a steady 36.25 most of the time since AF left down to 36.15 for two days (thu/fri) then up to 36.35 today but that surely is too small a difference to count?

BabyBumpHopeful · 24/01/2015 14:38

australopitecus you're actually first in the queue for a seat but I don't have an AF date so you've not got an official seat sorry! (there's 12 other people in queue behind you waiting for a seat too :D) Want to give me a date and I'll pop you in? (you're 50th passenger so maybe there's a door prize??)

BabyBumpHopeful · 24/01/2015 14:50

Damn. This is what I get for posting from my phone, mistakes! Welcome to everyone! Always love a bit of chatter so I don't express all the crazy to the DH

australopithecus · 24/01/2015 14:51

Ho ha baby I've done that nn-mess-up post before too! Lol. Grin
Repeat info:
I have no date! sobs I haven't had an AF since DC was conceived! Menstruation discrimination! Alert the authorities! Call the newspapers! I will fight it to the highest court in the country (just as soon as I've had my coffee mind you. And brushed my teeth. And entertained the child. And cleaned the kitchen. Maybe tomorrow I'll take it to the highest court in the land. Or next week. Watch this space.)
Cut down bf-ing to almost nothing so the plan was to ovulate in January and the get a bfp in Feb. No luck yet BUT I've had a little faint opk line yesterday (and this morning too when i did one for good luck ) and some ewcm for last three days, so I'm DTD and hoping tomorrow brings an actual opk line. So in view of that, let's say Bfp expected 9ish February? HmmSmile

australopithecus · 24/01/2015 14:52

Oh and yes I'll take the door prize! As long as it comes with gin. And chocolate.

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 15:09

Baby, generally speaking you can expect there to be enough detectable HcG three days after implantation occurred.

Terry. I also stink of wee since a baby was ripped out of my vadge with forceps ten months ago destroying my pelvic floor in the process Smile

Austral, how old is your tot? And are you deliberately ignoring my request for your exact age? Grin

Winter, I checked the position of my cervix whilst having a poo the other day. I got a really good feel of its proper position - and it was pleasantly surprising to note how far apart the vagina is from the anus Smile

Stats: Purdey, 43, 1 DC of 10 months - donor egg IVF. TTC #2 using largely AI as I can not be arsed with the pressure and the tedium.

PurdeyBirdie · 24/01/2015 15:12

Ibeka, you should take yesterday's stronger-than-the-control-line opk as your true surge. You can expect ov to occur between 24-36 hours later. Sex up to tonight, then, would be exceptionally well-timed.
