Well I'm just waiting for AF to show up and the timings mean I miss January all together. Anyone out there who would like to join me in trying for a BFP in February? :)

Annoyingly I've just noticed that my late shifts fall again slap bang around the time of ov in February. Ugh. This might be much more difficult than I'd originally thought

Morning all...going a bit mad here. I'm on CD 15, no positive OPK and no EWCM...i have never been so focussed on the contents of my pants! Didn't have much luck with OPKs last month either, but thought it was because I wasn't doing them as religiously as wasn't officially TTC. Have been temping for months though...which suggests I ovulate CD15-17...so surely I should have had at least a flashing smiley by now?!

night I think they're just more accurate in the morning because your pee is not diluted by whatever you're drinking during the day - so the tests are going to find it easier to detect the relevant hormones, because they're more concentrated. May be wrong though - definitely not a doctor!

Ladies, quick question (sorry for so many multiple posts!) - when does the thicker CM start to turn into EWCM? Is it just before you ovulate, or during ovulation, or afterwards...? Or can it vary a lot?

sweets my EWCM seems to arrive a day or so before I get a positive opk, then I think I must ovulate a day or so later.

Dizzy I actually don't get a lot of EWCM...usually only for a day. I have bought some preseed which I'm hoping will make up for this. If it wasn't for my temp rise every month I'd be a bit worried I wasn't ovulating.

sweets I see a few days of it before ov should occur.

So this month cm took on a 'jelly' like consistency on Tuesday-weds, Thursday was when I got my positive and Friday was when I saw what I would say is 'proper' ewcm as it had turned clear. Apparently once ov has happened the ewcm dries up very quickly so you should have a very dry day with nothing at all. At least I do anyway!

jss maybe you'll see some tomorrow or Sunday then? Start dtd with the pre seed just in case!

ewcm seems to be my favourite topic for some reason! Can't get enough of talking about the stuff ha ha

boris, I know what you mean. In 7 years I have NEVER known DP turn down sex but now he's suddenly 'too tired' just at the right time and I've become a bit of a crazy frantic.

jss I was beginning to feel really down about the OPKs then a big fat positive last night - just keep at it! Apparently the 'surge' can be very quick/small and you can easily miss it testing every day so if your temping tells you you do OV just get cracking ;-)

Hello, can I join please? Just off the January bus - last cycle really took it's toll, I was secretly convinced I was pregnant. I have normally very long cycles of 37 days, last cycle was 39. Getting very fed up of it all!

Thanks conceptionzilla and Dizzy. I don't usually monitor CM that much, but 2 or 3 days ago it was quite thick, and I was starting to get OPK flashing smileys. This morning was non-flashing smiley and definite EWCM, so maybe I'll be ovulating tomorrow? Fx anyway!

Oh, and sweets I had loads of EWCM Sun eve/Mon/Tues am then nothing weds or yesterday then +ve OPK last night, so I too am hoping this means I'll OV today or maybe tomorrow? FX!
