Well I'm just waiting for AF to show up and the timings mean I miss January all together. Anyone out there who would like to join me in trying for a BFP in February? :)

CoffeeTwo, 31, ttc #2, cycle 6, BFP due 10th February.

Really hope AF gets here before GP appt as takes three weeks to get one! I am wearing lacy matching underwear to try to provoke her into arriving today though :p

Sweets27 · 22/01/2015 09:38

accidental, really sorry to hear about the house. House buying is such an emotional investment, and gazumping is the worst. It happened to me and my DH last year, but we found another place really quickly - it'll happen to you too! Smile

Looks like a few of us are now ready for operation shaggathon, hairstylist! I am on second day of flashing OPK smileys, so the game is on. Have fun, everyone!

ibeka · 22/01/2015 09:40

Hello cookie, welcome aboard!

mummy, I'm wondering that too... During AF I fluctuated 36.15-36.35. Sine then it's been 36.23-36.27 every day until this morning dropped to 36.11 but not sure that's a real drop? Feeling frustrated as EWCM has vanished completely and still negative OPKs so am starting to worry I may not ov.... Yesterday I felt so rubbish I was convinced I must have OVed but clearly not.

night I can't believe you've not POAS yet - you have way more self control than me!

Sweets27 · 22/01/2015 09:44

night, fx for AF to arrive soon! Matching underwear, white jeans, try 'em all...

nightandthelight · 22/01/2015 09:50

Thanks everyone :) ibeka unfortunately it has nothing to do with will power :( my coil was removed after my fertile period so chances of a BFP are very slim. Even though I know that I would still be disappointed to see a BFN. I would be happy of AF arrived though as that would be taking me one step closer to TTC. Does that make sense or am I a complete weirdo?

DizzyNorthernBird · 22/01/2015 09:56

night I remember several years ago being ten weeks late. I can't remember why I was late now but at the time I knew I couldn't be pg. it must have been either after coming off the pill or getting implant removed. Anyway, I poas just to make sure, even though I knew full well what the result would be. Sure enough, AF came the next day! After 10 weeks of waiting lol.

nightandthelight · 22/01/2015 09:58

Gosh Dizzy that is a long time! Am going to POAS Saturday morning if no sign of AF by then. AF should then arrive Sunday :)

We've booked a ski trip for the end of feb, may the law of sod now invoke itself.

ibeka · 22/01/2015 10:24

Snap, Hairstylist! Where are you off to?

Hairstylisttoboris · 22/01/2015 10:31

Switzerland, Wengen area, lauterburunnen . Law of sod has already done me proud as the economy of Switzerland has tanked and our ski passes will cost a fortune. Damn.

Hairstylisttoboris · 22/01/2015 10:31

How about you ibeka?

ibeka · 22/01/2015 10:44

Doh! Off to Whistler.... A friend has moved there for a year so it's a once in a lifetime chance to be able to afford to go as we won't have to pay accommodation. I figure if I have a bfp then I'll be so chuffed I'll be fine and if it's a bfn then it'll cheer me up!

TakesTwoToTango · 22/01/2015 10:47

Ibeka I usually get a slight temp drop on the day of ov and then a rise the day after, so you may be at that point?? Also EWCM appears pre-ov, usually it disappears when you ov and you get swimmer-friendly thin, watery stuff (or nothing) instead.

Massive temp rise here this morning on CD14, despite not having had any smileys at all on the opks yet this cycle. It's my first cycle of temping/opks since my last pg and my cycle seems to have shortened to 28 days (from 31 with ov about day 16), so no idea what's going on here! Maybe I had a restless night...

MaMaPo · 22/01/2015 10:48

Thanks everyone.

mummytoone - don't congratulate me on our mammoth DTD effort as nothing has started yet! But we're lucky to have a little one who sleeps well so at least we don't get interrupted too often.

Boris, so sorry we're so similar! I'm in Aus, not the UK, so the systems are probably a bit different in terms of kickstarting things. I totally lied to the GP and said we'd been trying for 12 months and I have no compunction about this! I'll be covering a lot more of the cost of these initial tests under the Australian system than I would be under the NHS.

We have now told our family of our situation and my husband came home and said his father had phoned him and been very supportive, and then said that my husband's parents took 10 years to conceive! This is the first either of us have heard of that! We're a bit gobsmacked.

In term of temp drops with impending AF, I usually go from around 36.6-.7 down to 36.2-.3 in a single day.

TakesTwoToTango · 22/01/2015 10:48

V envious of whistler!!!

Sweets27 · 22/01/2015 10:48

ibeka and hairstylist, I'm very envious of your ski trips! Definitely a good plan - BFP means you won't care if you can't go/ski, and BFN the skiing will cheer you up no end. Plus you'll be able to happily booze away on the wine and cheesy fondue. (ibeka - do they do cheese in canada??)

Hairstylisttoboris · 22/01/2015 10:51

Whistler? Nicely done :)

mamapo do let me know what the doctors advise you. Glad your family are being supportive. We haven't told our relatives yet, might do at some point but I think they've all guessed and are being quietly supportive.

mummyofonesofar · 22/01/2015 10:52

MaMaPo Well good luck with it! Think we sill struggle with EOD, but determined to bite the bullet and get on with it..

Hairstylisttoboris · 22/01/2015 10:59

Oh and me again - spamming the thread - sorry

mamapo I also tried soy this month but went against advice you were given on the soy thread and took from cd1 of my cycle to try to work with my cycle, as obviously things kick off for me early than for others.,,, I'll let you know if it works!!! I've been wracked with guilt ever since starting soy though about why am I playing God with my cycles, what if I only produce immature eggs and affect any baby.... Damn self medicating.

jss84 · 22/01/2015 11:08

ibeka and hairstylist...I'm actually going skiing next week! I'll be in the TWW..I assume it's okay to ski?! I won't know whether I am pregnant or not, so difficult to know what to do....but even if I am, presumably at such an early stage it wouldn't be affected by skiing?

Twinkletoes007 · 22/01/2015 11:14

ibeka and hair Jealous of you skiers. Been to Wengen - loved it. Whistler will be amazing. Would you not ski if you got a BFP?

Twinkletoes007 · 22/01/2015 11:16

jss posts crossed! Jealous of you as well!Envy

Hairstylisttoboris · 22/01/2015 11:24

I'm more worried about Après Ski sessions.... I'm still going to ski if I get a bfp. The baby is still so small and protected at that point. But I'll take it easy :)

loopylou1984 · 22/01/2015 11:50

I'm also going skiing in a couple of months, REALLY hope this entices the law of sod! Xx

ibeka · 22/01/2015 12:25

Hi all, yes, I'm really excited about whistler. The only person who knows I'm TTC is a friend who is a GP and also TTC. She says that for the first few weeks the embryo is well protected by the pelvis so it is fine. The main worry would be feeling too sick to enjoy it... And of course missing out on the après ski.
