Well I'm just waiting for AF to show up and the timings mean I miss January all together. Anyone out there who would like to join me in trying for a BFP in February? :)

CoffeeTwo, 31, ttc #2, cycle 6, BFP due 10th February.

Thanks for doing the stats list BabyBump - it looks fab in that format.

QueenofKelsingra · 17/01/2015 10:10

kissing I am also ttc #4. similar thoughts of 'I want another child' but really could skip the pregnancy/newborn days please! we couldn't make a firm decision so have decided to try for 6 months and then if it hasn't happened accept that we will be complete with our 3 as I don't want a huge age gap. #2 and #3 are twins so we also have the thought in the back of our head that we may get a double offer again - which, much as I love my DTs, I really just want a singleton this time!!

eod is hard work but i'm trying to keep in mind if we eod now we may not have to next month!

RhiannonElward · 17/01/2015 10:13

Quick question ladies, I'm trying to figure out when my fertile window might be (dtd eod for now but would just like a ball park). cycle is usually 28 days, lmp started on 5th feb. Am I right that it's usually 16 days after that? and that sperm can live for 5 days so from the 11th to 19th is the best time for me?

Sorry for the stupid questions but I'm trying to work out if having tomorrow night off from dtd is a bloody terrible idea. We have a very busy day (5yo birthday party) and dp is thinking of waiting an extra day. For some reason this saddens me greatly even though the NHS reckons every 2-3 days is best and that'll only be 3 days. Advice much appreciated, thanks Smile

mummyofonesofar · 17/01/2015 10:17

I've got an app that works it all out for me it I've been told ovulation happens12-14 days before next AF due date. And it's best to DTD eod in the 5 days before this date and on the day if you can.

RhiannonElward · 17/01/2015 10:26

d'oh, I put 5th Feb instead of 5th Jan. Okay thanks for the help. Oh man, just worked out that that means today is my best day! we dtd last night so hopefully that's close enough :) We'll go for it then, seeing as the next 2 weeks are going to be optional. Thanks for your help mummy!

mummyofonesofar · 17/01/2015 10:27

So if you meant Jan not Feb then I would guess your fertile window is 15-22 Jan. With a BFP due 2 feb. Hope that helped.

RhiannonElward · 17/01/2015 10:30

God I am bad with numbers, this is why I don't chart haha. Thanks for working that out for me, very much appreciated Flowers

UltimateDuck · 17/01/2015 11:04

Hi all, I'm just embarking on the tww so i went clothes shopping yesterday for some tight fitting jeans in the hope of invoking the law of sod. If i get my bfp this cycle i won't get the chance to wear them for long Smile

RhiannonElward · 17/01/2015 11:06

Excellent plan duck, I call that a win/win scenario, I like your thinking Smile

Sparkly123 · 17/01/2015 11:31

Hi everyone, just popping in. I was between buses as was awaiting AF. Who hasn't shown! Anyway.. Yesterday I got a BFP on a frer so I think I'm off the feb bus?! Wasn't a very long stay at all! Wishing you all so much luck in getting your BFP!!!! Flowers

nightandthelight · 17/01/2015 11:36

Yay congrats Sparkly, I think that this is a very good sign for our bus as a whole! Great to start on such positive news :)

Still waiting for AF (due in next couple of days but I think it's going dawdle as usually by now I would have sore boobs and water retention but no sign of either). Tired of waiting now :(

mummyofonesofar · 17/01/2015 11:37

Due to putting on some weight over the past few years I think my days of being size 10 are over. Need to bite the bullet and buy some new clothes. But then I hope I'll need maternity stuff soon so don't see the point but now you mention Sod's law it might be a good time after all!

QueenofKelsingra · 17/01/2015 12:02

congratulations sparkly what a great start for the Feb bus! hope its a sign of things to come for the rest of us!

duck I like your thinking! I plan on buying some lovely champagne, pate and blue cheese ready for DH's birthday in the hope that I will then have to go hungry and thirsty! Grin anyone else want to join in law of sod envoking?!

good luck Rhiannon, if you dtd yesterday then skipping a day is fine, every 2 days is recommended as it give your DH/DP time to recharge his stocks! I go every other day leading up to and while I have EWCM and then make sure we dtd the day ewcm stops as this is likely to be the day I ovulate. and the every other for another couple just to be safe!

Boosk · 17/01/2015 12:21

Hi everyone, stepping over from January for a seat next to cariad please, looks like we are cycle twins!

Boosk, 34, ttc1, cycle6, bfp 14 Feb

Anyone started the tww yet?

QueenofKelsingra · 17/01/2015 13:07

hi boosk I'm probably just onto the tww but going to dtd once more tonight to be sure! my BFP is due 1st Feb if its a 'normal' cycle but my last cycle was short so who knows!

ibk1983 · 17/01/2015 13:19

Hi all, welcome to everyone new!

Special hello to cycle twin TwinkleToes. I'm very unsure how long my cycles will be. I'm using fertility friend who says I should OV weds if a normal 28 day cycle but I'm fairly certain mine used to be 35 days so have calculated the following week...

That said, I've got really spotty and had a hormonal-feeling headache last couple of days (I say hormonal feeling cos similar to ones I got from combined pill). Could these be signs of LH surge? Anyone else get anything like this mid-cycle? OH has got man-flu so it's been a bit of a nightmare trying to DTD!!

DizzyNorthernBird · 17/01/2015 14:15

Hey all. Am in a grump today.

beautician & kissing, I've got similar issues now with dp. Dtd Tues and weds nights, then on Thurs and last night he's decided he's 'too tired' and that 2 nights on the trot is enough for now. He says 'whatever will be will be' and that I'm putting too much much pressure on myself to make it happen (I wasn't.... But I am now if he's going to make this difficult each month!) He's decided that it'll be fine if we leave it now until Sunday and maybe do it again next week at some point, which is all very well but I could well have ovulated by then (if not already given my positive test on Thursday). I get what he's saying about taking it easy etc but he doesn't understand that I have age to think about as well as being mindful about any miscarriage risk, so I want to make a determined effort asap Sad

Hopefully he'll be more amenable tonight. I'm scared to mention it again now Sad

Rainy34 · 17/01/2015 14:56

Hi everyone, I'm cd 4 so not much going on except being a moody moo!!!, i am trying to stay off alcohol and see what happens and cut down my caffeine intake too, trying to drink de caff green tea, its not as bad as i though it would be,

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 17/01/2015 16:01

Dizzy sorry your DH is being a pain too. Things aren't good here. We are pretty much not speaking and when we do we keep arguing.

I'm so upset that he isn't bothered anymore. I've got two job interview this week and it's my birthday on Wednesday. So hopefully something nice will happen this week. I know I'll be having a little cry on Thursday when af arrives.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 17/01/2015 16:02

Sorry Sparkly. Huge congratulations. So pleased for you. I can't wait until you do a cb digi. It will be amazing to see those words spelt out for you. Smile

Boosk · 17/01/2015 17:11

Hey queen, fingers crossed you get to kick things off with the first bfp of February. good luck Smile

tessiegirl · 17/01/2015 18:34

Oh no, so sorry to hear you are having a hard time with your DH's Dizzy and Beautician. Sending you both hugs and really hope things start to look up very soon.

GuybrushThreepwood - I'm putting a wild guess out there that you are a fan of Monkey Island?! I absolutely loved that game when I was younger and recently received the first three games in one as it was re-released! Now I can relive it any time I want! Fab! GrinGrinGrin

Any ideas how I can make the stat list bigger? When I click on it it's still not big enough for me to read clearly....Confused Thanks in advance!

BabyBumpHopeful · 17/01/2015 18:46

tessiegirl I'll try doing it in 2 or 3 sections, see if that helps :)

I'm symptom spotting like made over here. Pretty sure I ovd a couple of days ago (around 14th) and am now in a 2ww. My bfp date in the chart is predicted based on my app... but also missing a cycle in Nov...

I'm bloated, burpy and cm is very thin, watery and abundant. Trying not to get my hopes up but it's so hard!

Rainy also on CD4 and bored and moody.

ibk maybe you are actually the week earlier? Best get DTD just in case - hope the OH is feeling better.

Sending hugs to the ladies whose DHs are being grumps and hope things have improved. I'm on cycle 1 but I am sure I will be posting exactly the same thing before long.

Is anyone else struggling not to get carried away with what might happen? For example, I'm thinking can we book a holiday to X for then, how am I going to get out of drinking at X's wedding. Ridiculous I know and as someone who likes to have everything planned I can tell I'm not going to enjoy this in limbo feeling at all.
