AF arrived this morning, CD34. Probably won't be a +ive november for me either as DH is going away for 2 months sometime later this month, so he probably won't be here for my fertile window, but ya never know (in the army the dates for things change all the time, so gotta keep hoping). Will keep using my Persona this month just in case we can fit one or two BDs in at the right time.

RachelRose · 14/11/2006 13:38

Am so Sorry Bubble - I meant to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to you, but I was selfishly so wrapped up in my own little saga

Its great that you are sticking on here for a while - and I kind of know what you mean by being a bit numb. After my feint line yesterday I was running it all through my head last night - what if this is the wrong thing to do, what if it has a neagtive impact on DS, what if there is a problem with the pregnany / labour, what if, what if, what if... It'll just be the realisation that its happening now rather than just thinking about it, and pretty soon you'll be really pleased and happy. After my slightly dodgy BFN I was really disappointed which just goes to show that I was happy IFKWIM????

Anyway, I'm rambling... Basically Congratulations!!

greedyguzzler · 14/11/2006 13:53

hey RR - you need to test again. if no control line was there then you would never get a line even if you are pg. the whole point of the control line is to check if the test is working, you know that, so you cant believe the result if there is no control! i think the faint bfp before is the one to go by. buy a cheapie in tescos £5 and test again. do as you are told girl!!!! i tested 2 days before af was due with both of my pg and got faint positives both times using a tescos kit and you know what they say ......a line is a line, so check again!

greedyguzzler · 14/11/2006 13:55

just reread my message....sound a bit bossy dont i?! sorry! im like a fluffy little kitten once you get to know me! just think you really need to test again and know one way or the other so your emotions arent too up and down and all over the place.
thats to show im nice really!

RachelRose · 14/11/2006 14:09

Your post was fab Greedy! Yes, bossy but spot on!!! I know I need to get another one, I know you need the control line there, and I know I'm fannying about! I'll get another one and test with first pee tomorrow morning.

Of course you are a fluffy little kitten... I believe you... Honest {Rachel scuttles off to hide behind the cushion}

MrsMcJnr · 14/11/2006 14:47

Would you like me to bring you a test from my stash Rachel? I have tons and have only used 5 since I started TTC in June. . I'm with the others, that test sounded dodgy, I'd take it back and tell them that you wee'd on it and as nothing happened it is therefore not fit for the purpose it was sold for and you want a refund. Just joking, mind you, that is the kind of thing I'd do on a bad AF day .

Greedy - maybe they did other things to him but certainly have not examined his back. I'll keep you posted.

ready4motherhood · 14/11/2006 15:02

I say take it back for a refund!!!!! Get a different one in it's place!!!

i wonder if anyone has ever taken a used hpt back for any reason?? I don't think I would ever have the balls to do it myself!

MrsMcJnr · 14/11/2006 15:19

Ready - if you have balls, you are on the wrong thread! Seriously though, there must be some come back against the companies that make them, they are so expensive after all and it is such a stressful time testing anyway.

cycle bud sideways how you getting on? your CD14 today and i was wondering how you are? and how your doing? I've been really busy this week, CD13 myself and in the active stage, finger crossed.

greedyguzzler · 14/11/2006 18:25

can i just say that i think this site is taking over my life!!!! does anyone else feel like that ever? i am desperate to check on it as soon as i get the chance. i should be desperately BDing, not checking on here.....you lot aren't going to get me pg are you?
i am sure my DH thinks i am having an affair and sending secret messages to my lover cos i was really shifty yesterday when he caught me on here! i was too embaressed to tell him what i was doing and how obsessed i am becoming! somebody help me!!!!

honeyapple · 14/11/2006 18:48

hi greedy-
i'm the same in regards to trying not to let DP know how bad i'm getting about the TTC thing-

I got quite miserable a couple of nights ago cos this is perfect BDing time for me and he's been staying up watching football every night... i accused him of messing me about... it's taken me 2 years for him to agree to having another baby... so anyway, this morning i told him not to leave for work until i'd dropped kids off at school cos i needed his spermatazoa asap...
We havent had as much BD this month as last month- but i've tried to time it better- I think we were doing it too early last month... fingers crossed.

greedyguzzler · 14/11/2006 18:57

i will be going for it tonight too! when i say 'i' i obviously mean 'we'. i wouldnt make many babies on my own now would i!

Bodkin · 14/11/2006 19:37

Greedy - I too am a furtive poster. Have to keep "clearing toolbar history" to cover my tracks. Don't really know why I'm so paranoid about it, I suppose he would think I'm in some weird cult or something, and it's nice to be able to have a moan about them in private innit?

Good luck with persuading your menfolk tonight ladies. You'd think they'd be over the moon at all the action, but sometimes it's like pulling teeth isn't it?

honeyapple · 14/11/2006 20:07

My DP is out tonight on a work jolly... hence my demands on him this morning ...

honeyapple · 14/11/2006 20:10

just seen BBC1 at 9pm- Dr Robert Winston- A child against all odds. About fertility treatments.

OMG!!!!!!! I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo pissed off! am i allowed to say that on here? can i swear? my DDDDDDDDDH! has just rung me from work at 9.20pm and told me he is just leaving which means he wont be home till 10.30pm. and then he said he is going back in tonight! what does that mean!!!!!????? i think he means the middle of the night cos he is doing some shitty project at work ( or having an affair!). anyway i said 'why bother coming home?' and he said 'cos you are fertile and we are trying to make a baby arent we'
i dont know if to think 'ah how sweet he is travelling all the way home just for a shag!' or if to be really peeed off that work is taking over his whole life. i am soooooooooooooooo upset anyway! and i am really annoyed that my first instinct was to come on here and rant. how sad am i? ( mind you, you lot must be sad too so how can you judge!!!) it makes you feel better typing it all down and getting it off your chest doesnt it. on my 4th glass of wine though which doesnt help with my emotions! will prob be flaked out on the sofa when he gets home!

Minshu · 14/11/2006 22:02

Oh, Greedy!!! I know how frustrating it is for you. But, if he was having an affair, it's unlikely that he'd be on his way home for a shag, if that helps (I know you weren't serious about that)

Poor bloke, having work take over his life like this!!! It's totally unfair on both of you. It's like that at my place, and DH's, but only from time to time. How long is this likely to be going on for?

And, as for your first instinct being to come on here? Well, that's what we are here for, innit? (hugs)

cityangel · 14/11/2006 22:18

Hey Greedy go for it it is frustrating I am having one of those days but he is coming back big hug

firststar! well done! congrats! i am so happy for you! i cant believe all these BFPs.
you must be so excited!

any news from you RR?????

thanks minshu, cityangel and firststar! my dh did come home, we did the deed and then he drove back into the city to carry on working! he got home at 7am just as the kids were waking up! this morning with a clear head.....i think....ah! bless him for coming all the way home to do that! as he left me to go back to work he kissed me and said 'you just concentrate on making that baby!' (i am too scared to tell him that my opk is still negative this morning and he is going to have to perform for me again later!) anyway enough about me!

honeyapple i think you are on a similar CD to me. have you ov'd already?

bodkin? i know i am being daft but how do i clear my history? sounds like a useful tool!

honeyapple · 15/11/2006 09:28

Congrats to firststar . well done.
Greedy- i'm not testing for OV cos that would be TOO much for me- but I reckon i Oved yesterday- a lot of EWCM and some slight cramping. Which would have been CD15- DP stayed out last night, hence yesterdays morning quickie (literally 1 minute) before he went to work...I would have liked to make a baby from a more romantic BD session, but if it works...who cares !
