AF arrived this morning, CD34. Probably won't be a +ive november for me either as DH is going away for 2 months sometime later this month, so he probably won't be here for my fertile window, but ya never know (in the army the dates for things change all the time, so gotta keep hoping). Will keep using my Persona this month just in case we can fit one or two BDs in at the right time.

Firstsar, I need to get me some of your positivity!! I am not feeling good at all. MIL commented yesterday on another one of my friends having just had a baby, then laughed (!) and I got really upset, I know she doesn't know we are trying, but for all she knows we might not be able to have children and comments like that are not sensitive. I know I am being oversensitive, which is even more of a sign that AF is on her way, I'm all hormonal!! But still people shouldn't make comments like that.

Sorry ladies, rant over

RachelRose · 10/11/2006 12:47

You are right Ready, people (particularly a woman of her age with all the experience that brings about trying to have babies) should know better than to comment on having / not having children. I probably said insensitive things unknowingly when I was a lot younger but then at that point I still thought conceiving was very easy and something you tried hard to avoid. I wouldn't make that mistake now.

Hi MrsMc - Glad to hear you are doing better today! That must have been nasty! Have you thought anymore about going for accupuncture? Hope the December thread is going well - Will probably be hopping over soon.

MrsMcJnr · 10/11/2006 12:56

Nope Rachel - you are not allowed over there unless it's to tell us about BFP!!! oh yes, must look into the acupuncture!

Ready - I know exactly what you mean, I am avoiding my PIL at the mo because they make comments absolutely everytime I see them - I counted, last Sunday, in 3 hours there were 7 comments relating to grandchildren and their lack of . Makes me really sad because I have always got on with them until DH and I married 5 months ago but since then, they just torment us. My MIL is being really nasty about my BF being pregnant just because she's jealous!

Thanks firststar!! My MIL can be insensitive at times, but I like to think she doesn't mean it but my Mum is always great, never asks or suggests or anything!! So I am lucky in that.

Unfortunately DH is away with work this weekend and won't be back til late Sunday night.... AF due Sunday, so when arrives home he will find me curled up on the sofa with a belly full of chocolate and my trusty hot water bottle!

What are everyone else's plans for this weekend?? Anyone testing??????? OOOoooh, I am excited for you all, and my fingers are well and truly crossed!!!

xxx

ready4motherhood · 10/11/2006 13:13

While I was typing my response to Firstar (slowly!!) MrsMc and RachelRose have posted, and I am so glad you did... I feel a little better now, cos I thought I was being too sensitive and thinking the worst of MIL. But now I know that I am not alone. Why are people like that?? I, like you Rachel, unknowingly when I was younger asked people when they would have kids etc... and now I really regret it, cos they might have been trying and every time someone asks it just reminds you that you haven't fallen yet.

We'll get there girls!! Soon.

ready4motherhood · 10/11/2006 13:15

((((((GROUP HUG))))))

sorry about your PIL MrsMc - there is something funny about boys parents I think!! They are not like girls parents!!! I know that sounds daft!! But go with me

RachelRose · 10/11/2006 13:34

MrsMc - Am so sorry this is going on with your PIL - I hoped your FIL's comments a few weeks ago was a one-off. Its so insensitive and just adds to the pressure. You've got such a lot on your plate at the moment with jobs / houses etc, I just hope you can find things to relax you!!!

So, are you going to have a quiet weekend Ready? I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that there is no AF!! We are having a pretty quiet weekend. I've bought some craft bits and bobs and I'm going to try to make our own xmas cards with DS (2.7yrs) We made a thank you card a couple of days ago and I had to grit my teeth as he put all the pom poms in the wrong place

greedyguzzler · 10/11/2006 13:37

think positive all of you expecting AF. it sounds like you have resigned yourself to the fact that she will come anyway......and maybe she wont! maybe there will be more BFPs! i felt pre menstrual and had spotting with both of my pregnancies and so i was convinced i wasnt pg until i tested a few days later when spotting didnt develop....and hey presto, i was! so all i am trying to say in my round about way, is that dont give up hope! you might as well stay happy until you KNOW if you have something to be sad about (a bfn, i mean), dont be depressed before she even arrives!
says me, who will be exactly the same in 2 weeks time!

greedyguzzler · 10/11/2006 13:42

hey RR- you are very good! when my ds doesnt make cards/pictures exactly as i want them, i take them off him and say " let mummy show you how to do it!" he doesnt like making stuff with me anymore! cant think why!

first star- you are a bit slow with your posting aren't you!!!
dont tell me you are trying to work at the same time or something daft like that!

ready4motherhood · 10/11/2006 14:03

RachelRose - a quiet one indeed, I think I will make my christmas cards too actually, thanks for reminding me. Aaw bless DS and those misplaced pom poms, I can't help but giggle. I love that you do crafty things together... I sooo can't wait for that!!

Thanks Greedyguzzler, I know you are right... seems silly to get depressed until she arrives. If only I could do that

Firststar - fingers crossed your week flies by. AF is due for me on the 12th (sunday) although the cramps feel like she might be early. Time will tell.

Did someone mention getting Christmassy emoticons to use??? Does anyone know how we go about getting them... I would love that... my posts will be peppered with them

hello bubble
how long have you been ttc? any signs of af?

bubble78 · 10/11/2006 14:26

been trying since august it only took one month to concieve with ds so its a bit frustrating..

no signs yet of AF you know the funny stomach cramps and so fourth so fingers crossed...

desperate2bmum · 10/11/2006 14:32

hello everyone!

finally managed to post, dp has gone back to work now.
sorry i have neglected you all (feel so guilty) i have no idea whats been going on there is just soooo much to read.
sorry to all those whos afs have arrived as i spotted the december thread

well me and dp have had a rather rocky period to say the least..almost contemplated ending our relationship. things are back on track now though and the tension between us is non existent now where as before you could cut it with a knife. i think it was partly my fault for hassling him about bding but its his fault too because he just lacks emotion and cannot for the life of him get his head around me wanting to get pg immediately after my mc. its been 6 months now and i just feel time is ticking away to my due date and i was just having a really depressing day and it all kicked off.

but anyway we both had the first half of this week off work together and had some lovely much needed quality time together. i have no idea when i ovd this month but i know for certain we didnt bd around crucial dates. i cant remember what cd i am on but i know af is due next week sometime...its strange because i have no symptoms at all. probably cos i have had sooo much on.

anyway sorry to take over rambling about me.

how is everyone else? anyone testing soon?

its good to be back

greedyguzzler · 10/11/2006 14:33

i feel like august has only just finished! ikwym though. you get impatient when it has happened straight away in the past dont you? happened first month with my dd too, but my whole body has changed since then.....my cycle has changed from 45 days to 31 days and i spot continuously all month. nice! anyway i am still only at the BDing stage so far this month! away at the weekend though at friends house so not sure how much opportunity we will get!

bubble78 · 10/11/2006 14:35

hi desperate2bmum hope all works out for you and i now you can get back to b'dancing...
