AF arrived this morning, CD34. Probably won't be a +ive november for me either as DH is going away for 2 months sometime later this month, so he probably won't be here for my fertile window, but ya never know (in the army the dates for things change all the time, so gotta keep hoping). Will keep using my Persona this month just in case we can fit one or two BDs in at the right time.

Forgot a couple of other things I meant to say...

EndlessLove, were you cleaning up the mouse wee in a slinky negligee, or is DH just very observant?!

Hi Firststar and Tabeebah too. I had mild indigestion last month, unusual for me, and tongue felt weird and "prickly" down the sides. AF arrived as usual though, I'm sorry to say.

cityangel · 27/10/2006 00:18

Hi November, A very sad city angel joins you from October

AF today CD30 and one disappointed bunny

Still on the positive side this month I discovered some positive and negative 2ww wait distractions... unexpected job hunting, and flat decorating are 2!

Am going to look into online charting and testing tools to try and build some facts into 'to OV or not to OV' drama

Hey ahead of me cycle buddy d2b what CD are you?

Hey Mrs MC you are going to be testing on my Mum's big birthday bash... I will be thinking of you

I am lucky to have a very supportive dh I can chat to so moving on... what's new with everyone on here? Who is next to OV, BFP test, start 2ww?

1n2s · 27/10/2006 07:51

Hi all

Cityangel - sorry to hear AF has arrived Drown your sorrows in a large glass of wine tonight. I am on CD27 today and I will be joining with AF today/tomorrow and also with the wine

MrsMcJr - Thank you for asking about my pains, they have miraculously gone today no doubt to be replaced with full blown AF any day now

I noticed some of you are pals and meet up socially (wasn't being nosey honest!!) Is this a local website - how do you all know each other??

jess1996 · 27/10/2006 07:53

Hello, AF started yesterday on CD21! I thought it possible from my temps that I had OV'd on CD7 so it looks like I was right. So I've had a 40 day cycle followed by a 21 day cycle. I hope my regular cycles come back soon. I had a very sharp pain on my left side on CD7 which I'm now thinking may have been OV, although I've never noticed OV pain before.

Anyway I'm not too upset. From my 1st month of charting it looks like I can see a temp shift and the time from OV to AF is 14 days.

And I'm still just about on the Nov thread as AF will be due on the 28th (if I go back to a 28 day cycle).

Good luck to everyone else.

1n2s · 27/10/2006 07:53

Ooh I just love the smiley's, I've finally got the hang of them. Can you tell? :0

1n2s · 27/10/2006 07:54

or maybe not ....

jess1996 · 27/10/2006 07:55

Actually AF will be due on the 22nd (I obviously can't count this early in the morning

1n2s · 27/10/2006 08:01

Jess 1996 - Oh no it's soo confusing. Since coming off the pill in April my months have been, 31,31,30,29,28,27 days in length. Therefore OV day appears to be on a slightly different day each month also. Only using OTK to predict tho. Have you recently come of the pill yourself?

jess1996 · 27/10/2006 08:07

1n2s - came off the pill in February. 1st cycle was 35 days then steady 28 or 30 day cycles for about 6 months. Decided to TTC from August and had:

34 days - thought I was pregnant, very upset by AF arrival.

40 days - assuming anovulation as followed by light pain-free AF

21 days - first time taking temps so I think I did OV.

Let's hope things get back to normal soon.

For me, I think it's a combination of focussing too much on TTC (and some work stress).

1n2s · 27/10/2006 08:26

Jess1996 - Oh crikey, how confusing and soo dissapointing! So since TTC your AF's have gone crazy... yes must be a combo of stress and work delaying things.

I'm really trying not to obsess over TTC (it's hard not to - my life is evolving into 14days cycles and counting days - must stop!!. I'm not buying any more OTK next month as I've now got a rough idea when OVD is, although I have started taking fish oil and will try the grapefruit juice ;)

Morning Ladies... I am CD13 so should be around OV time... Bought myself a thermometer this month, didn't start temping until CD10 though... just wanted to get into a routine of doing it. Do you think that I will be able to see a shift after only a few temps?? (MrsMcjnr - always expect you to know the answers!! hey no pressure or anything!! )

RachelRose... 'almost' cycle bud Do you think I will be able to hold out for 5 days before testing?? that will require nerves of steel! You could all have a sweepstake... AF will be early now I have said that!!

Cityangel - sorry about AF but welcome!! good luck with the charting. It's really interesting to see how the body works (I know... I'm a geek!)

Bodkin - Agree that the xfactor is not as good. I have been watching Strictly Come Dancing... I Lurve the costumes... I am a little magpie sitting there going "ooooooh - shiny"!

Jess1996 - CD21 is early, but if you Ov'd on CD7 then that is probably right?? I think I read that the amount of time after OV is more constant than pre OV. Is that right?

Lizziemu - Sorry about your m/c Try not to get too depressed each month. Hang in there (hug)

Peppadog - Welcome, nice to have you with us.

Babydust everyone!!

peppapog · 27/10/2006 10:58

Thanks

Im on CD 10 today - not doing charting or anything like that (yet!)

I have two children that were both concieved quickly so fingers crossed.

Im not really sure to be honest as Ive had a coil in until recently.

They used to be about 30 days though.

I know OVed very late in the cycle when I conceived DS but not sure if that is the norm for me.

ready4motherhood · 27/10/2006 11:43

Firststar - They are amazing! I find myself "gliding" into the kitchen

Morning ladies! Gosh, I've got some catching up to do on here! No big news from me, CD22, 4dpo. As we are trying to symptom spot, and just in case they are real ones, here are the new things that I am feeling for the first time this cycle:

-Intermittent headaches (sometime they only last 10 mins)
-Extreme tiredness (nearly fell asleep at my desk yesterday) - but this could be down to the weather, feel the need to hibernate and think I'll be a hamster in my next life!
-Sharp, quick pains in the middle of lower ab
-Back pains

...or perhaps I am just falling apart!!

Welcome Lizziemum - Sorry for your loss and that you feel down. Whilst I cannot begin to imagine what you have been through, I do know that all the warmth and support from the ladies on here pushes me back up when I'm low so I hope we can do the same for you.

Jess - sorry about AF How sad and frustrating for you re all those irregular cycles, I wonder why. I agree with the others, and we all know how hard it is but maybe you need to take up yoga or something that will force you to relax. It must be something that has changed your pattern and doing something like that wouldn't do you any harm even if the stress is not the cause. Good luk with the temping, it will show you patterns and then you will have something to show your gp which should help pinpoint at what part in your cycle things are going hay-wire - if you don't get your BFP soon. 14 day LP sounds good.

Really Ready.. hope you'll be having a busy weekend My first cycle of temping, I started mid-way through the cycle and I found it worthwhile. Besides, the interesting bits are from about now in your cycle anyway! You'll need 6 temps before you can draw a coverline and as you only started on CD10 and you will OV soon, you might not be able to get it right this cycle but you should still be able to see the pattern of lows and highs between pre ov an post ov temps. So yes, you should see a shift. The thermal shift is evidenced by 3 temps above the coverline usually. Do all the other tempers agree?

Welcome Peppapog nice to have you with us, you are coming up to that active time go for it and best of luck for another quick conception.

Hi 1n2s - I think you are in good company as far as the date of OV changing each month is concerned, my personal advice if you don't want to temp is to pay particular attention to your CM as the OPKs can be misleading. If you BD whenever you have creamy or EMCM (and particularly the latter), you should be close to OV. Hope AF does not turn up, fingers crossed. I met RachelRose on here and we discovered that we both lived in the same city and have met up a few times, it's great! Who else can you talk to about BD and CM whilst having lunch?!

Oh Cityangel I'm sorry AF turned up but hey, it's great to chat to you again . I'm going to start a new thread after this on things to do in the 2ww, see you on there? I know your ideas are inspired! If we can help with the charting, givs us a shout. Thank you for your good vibes for the 4th (hoping, praying...!)

Hello Bodkin - PMSL re joggers, I was just not given the body for jogging! Love your list of things to do during 2WW! Hope you'll join the thread I am about to create on that!

Hi Minshu - A drop can indicate OV yes but some don't get a drop then. You could also get an implantation drop if you are lucky from about 6dpo (is that right ladies?) but again some don't get that either. So, you might get drop before AF which is not due to AF and could be a good thing! Oh the joys of second guessing our bodies! Glad to hear you pinpointed OV and that all the other "bits" tied in too!

Phew! hello to all of you who I haven't mentioned by name. Babydust and happy Friday to all!

1n2s · 27/10/2006 12:40

Ok - hate to be naive here but what exactly am I looking for with CM to prove I'm ovulating? I'm guessing when it's at it's thinnest that should be when you're ovulating and therefore this should co-inside with the positive OTK - shouldn't it?

Why, oh why do I do this to myself!

Last night was my first works night out - I kept telling myself not to drink too much but ended up drinking FAR too much - and seemed to think that it was a good idea to mix red wine / white wine and gin (not same glass ovbiously!) I then talked shite most of the night, told an embarassing story about myself and threw up when I got home at 2am... At what age do you learn self-control with alcohol - I've obviously not got there yet at 34!

Anyway, hope you are all feeling much better than me today.

1n2s - It was great to meet up with MrsMcj - like she said we just realised through chatting on here that we live / work near each other. You could take a look at the chat area as there are often local meet-ups. Actually thats got me curious about where everyone on here lives - if you can remember mention it in next posts. To start off, I'm in Edinburgh.

Welcome Lizziemum and Peppapog - Sorry about your m/c Lizziemum - I really hope MN helps you. At least its somewhere you can express your frustration.

Sorry about AF cityangel - Nice to see you though

Ready - Loving the image of you gliding into the kitchen after watching strictly come dancing.

Oooooh MrsMcj - Your symptoms sound promising! Its such a wierd mix between wanting to symptom spot and not wanting to get hopes up - We'll all be keping our fingers crossed.

Hello to everyone else!

As for me - CD15 and nothing going on except temp had shot up this morning to 37 degrees. I think thats more to do with the alcohol last night than OV though
