AF arrived this morning, CD34. Probably won't be a +ive november for me either as DH is going away for 2 months sometime later this month, so he probably won't be here for my fertile window, but ya never know (in the army the dates for things change all the time, so gotta keep hoping). Will keep using my Persona this month just in case we can fit one or two BDs in at the right time.

Hi All
Haven't posted for a while, but like you all looking forward to a bfp this month, have been quite calm before but this 2ww is hard.
I am CD 19 today anyone else same -mrs mc maybee?
i'll try and post more later.

loujay · 26/10/2006 08:20

Good morning everyone.
BFN I'm afraid, although DH and I have had a discussion whilst peering at the stick as there was an EXTREMELY FAINT line to say positive.
SO the outcome of the discussion was that it is definately a negative but that I will test again in 3 days.
Actually don't feel too bad as I didn't think I'd ovulated anyway which would make it extremely difficult to conceive!!
So my theory about very bad PMS is right.

MrsMcJnr · 26/10/2006 10:02

Morning all! I'm CD21 and according to my chart, I am 3dpo as it has finally granted me OV on Monday! So if that is true (inspite of all the negative opks!) I was all worried about nothing - again!! This means that AF is due Fri 3/11 and I'll be testing Sat 4/11 if she's not pitched up - anyone else testing around then? Have to say, I do feel very different this cycle and I think that is why I was so confused about OV. The last two days I have felt crampy and headachy and exhausted but hey, that might be nothing.

So how are the rest of you! I am still grinning at your confession RachelRose, promise not to raise it at lunch (but I might still be grinning!). DH and I watched some of that programme (I then fell asleep!). The Tanya Harding one was the worst - the most unalluring thing I have ever seen - did any of you see it?! I was worried enough about how I would look in the DVD of my wedding day never mind any other types of films, so I am with the rest of you on that one!

Desperate - Did the needles hurt going in? that's what I am scared off. Did you have many deficiency or excesses that they were trying to clear? Let us know about the Reiki.

Tili bring on the bump!! the inch loss sounds good to me but the increase in cup size scares me, I'll topple over unless of course I have a big bump to counteract them!

Bodkin - agreed, let the symptom spotting begin!

Ready4motherhood - what you are feeling is totally understandable, you are just trying to stop yourself from getting hurt if AF turns up this cycle. Keep up the BDing!

Hi Minshu - Sounds like you've OV to me on the day of the drop.

Hi Uki - come and share the 2ww with us when you can, it does make it easier Babydust to you.

Loujay - sorry to hear that but as you say, it's not over yet!

Bodkin · 26/10/2006 10:53

Looks like we're going through the 2ww together then MrsMcJnr - I seem to have caught up with you on this freakishly short cycle. As am not doing any temping or OPKs, just going on CM, have no idea whether I ov'd or not, but sore (.)(.) on sat night makes me feel hopeful!

God, yes Tanya Harding - bleurgh!

Loujay but its not over yet....

Bodkin · 26/10/2006 10:54

PMSL at the very low nipps on my boob symbol. Don't think I did that right. Mind you, I have a DD already, so maybe it is pretty accurate!

ready4motherhood · 26/10/2006 11:04

MrsMcJnr - You are right as always! I am all chipper this morning, and what will be will be! Glad to hear that you OV'd - did you manage to get some BDing in Sat and Mon?? Would have been perfect timing.
RachelRose - I am 2 days behind you I think (CD12 today) so we are almost cycle buddies. How soon do you test?? I was going to wait 5 days after AF is due... is that too long??
AnguaVonUberwald - I heard that the first month after stopping the pill is your most fertile, so I would think it is very likely to be able to conceive.
Loujay - Let us know how you get on in 3 days. Fingers crossed
Desperate2bMum - Have I got this right? You having reiki?? oooh interested to hear about that!

Everyone else... fingers and toes crossed!!

ready4motherhood · 26/10/2006 11:07

Bodkin - sorry to be totally dense, but does ovulation make (o)(o) sore ???? Last month i got sore boobs and (stupidly) thought it might mean I was pg.

chickenpiescheeky · 26/10/2006 11:07

babt dust to all

Bodkin · 26/10/2006 12:03

Ready4 - MrsMcJnr said that sore boobs are due to a rise in progesterone which would indicate ovulation (as well as pg). Had sore boobs as major sympton when pregnant with DD, but that was not until a few days before AF due (after implantation?), not in the middle of the cycle. Soreness worn off now anyway. First time I have had this since coming off pill (5 months ago), so feel like this is a good sign - eg. hormones doing what they should be doing.

ready4motherhood · 26/10/2006 12:28

Bodkin - thanks for that... won't let the sore boobs trick me next month!!
Glad you feel like everything is doing what it should - fingers crossed for a BFP!!!!

endlesslove · 26/10/2006 13:23

Hi girls.

Well CD24 for me today and feel no different. We have had a mouse under our kitchen cupboards and whilst dh and I were cleaning up the urine smell with disinfectant last night, dh said "your boobs are getting bigger". I don't notice a change though so told him its probs just the start of af. I so hope not.

All ladies on here sound quite positive which is nice to hear. As we are all in this together it helps to talk how we feel.

I want to have some symptons of pregnancy!!!

Bubs dust to all xxxxx

Tabeebah · 26/10/2006 14:42

Im new to these discussion threads but am hoping for a positive first few days of November. Would anyone mind explaining to me what all the abbreviations stand for or direct me to a site that explains them, that way i can understand teh comments better.

MrsMcJnr · 26/10/2006 14:47

Welcome Tabeebah - there is an acronym list in the line headed up "useful stuff" above.

Tabeebah · 26/10/2006 15:19

Thanks MrsMcJnr thats very helpful. Good luck to all for this month. Has anyone any experience with testing 4 days before AF. Predictor says accuarte 4 days before?

ready4motherhood · 26/10/2006 15:35

Welcome to the November thread tabeebah and firststar... Good to have you with us. Babydust and crossed fingers for BFPs!!

desperate2bmum · 26/10/2006 15:50

mrsmcjnr - congratulations on ov!!!

ok accupuncture didnt hurt i even watched her putting the needle in my foot (normally i would pass out at that point) i had 1 in my foot, 1 in leg, 3 in stomach, 1 in hand and one almighty painful one at the back of my ear...staright into the bone. when i got up had big lump and fingers fullof blood! that was a teeth gritting moment! but feels fine today.
reiki was wonderful. the lady just basically put her hands over me and i got an extremely warm feeling, she worked her way down my body paying particular attention to head and stomach. then wiped away all the badness. when i got up i felt hungover (you know where you wake up the next morning and still drunk from night before) and she said that should cure my problems and she said she unblocked my mind and i shouldnt need another treatment.
i am going to give refelxologyy a go in next couple of weeks.

lloads of you are coming up t testing you lucky things...im on cd5

babydust to all of you for bfps!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 26/10/2006 16:07

Wow Desperate - that sounds really interesting. I picked up some leaflets today from a Traditional Chinese Medicine place that does acupuncture etc. How do you know that they are reputable? is there somewhere you can check with? Hope this is a much better cycle for you!

Welcome to Firststar too!

Tabeebah · 26/10/2006 16:45

For the last two days ive been having heartburn which is unusual for me, my ovulation date was about a week ago, could this be a pregnancy sympton or is too early?

RachelRose · 26/10/2006 18:11

Hi and welcome to the newbies!

Tebeebah, think it may be a bit early to be a PG symptom, but it is unusual if you never normally suffer from it. Fingers crossed. When are you thinking of testing.

Endless - at your description of cleaning up after mouse wee and your DH noticing your boobs! Sounds like a lovely romantic moment

Oooh, reiki sounds good desperate - Its something I've always fancied going as I've heard good stories about it, but haven't quite got the motivation to go before. Maybe next month.

Nothing really going on for me - CD14 for me today (I think!). No signs of OV, but then I'm only going my CM (or lack of!) and temps. I'm surprised how well I'm doing at the temping. I thought I forget a lot, but its become second nature now after only 2 weeks!

Hope everyone has a good evening

RachelRose · 26/10/2006 18:15

Sorry about the lack of some key words in my post below!

Ready4motherhood - Hey 'almost' cycle bud! I think it sounds really sensible to wait til 5 days after AF is due to test - if you can wait that long. I think I will wait at least that long next month as my last AF was a week late.

Minshu · 26/10/2006 18:48

MrsMcJnr - Thanks for that - I obviously got the wrong end of the stick. So the drop indicates ov, and now it should stay high while all the progesterone pumps round my body and another drop before AF (which would be a bad thing)? Good job we got loads of BD in, then. Don't think DH will mind too much that some of it would have been in vain.

Bodkin, Endless, Ready4... - my (o)(o) get slightly bigger and v sore every month, about a week before AF. The time I was briefly pg, it felt like they were going to explode out from my nipples, but it's normally a dull ache round the edges and the sight of women joggers makes me wince.

Now in the 2ww with some of you others, symptom spotting and trying to think of something / anything else.

Desperate - don't be blue, you still have all the fun bit to do. A friend of mine had acupuncture and got pg straight away - I'll be giving it a go, if no luck this month.

Babydust x

Minshu · 26/10/2006 19:02

Oh, MrsMCJnr - ov over the weekend definitely ties in better with EWCM (sorry if tmi). Happier now that there is some consistency to what the different methods are telling me .

sideways · 26/10/2006 19:13

Hi, the acupuncture and reiki sound great, I have had both of them in the past for various things.

Reflexology is also great, but I am pretty sure that there are some therapies which don't really compliment each other and can sometimes work against each other if you have them all together or close together. Not sure if this applies to the ones you are having (may possibly be something to do with homeopathy) but worth checking with your practitioners maybe.

Bodkin · 26/10/2006 20:17

at lady joggers, Minshu. Mind you, I wince at them even when (.)(.) aren't sore!!!

Things to take our minds off 2ww:

Halloween
Bonfire Night
X Factor (although it's shit this time)
Redecorating
Christmas Shopping/planning
umm.... any other suggestions...?
