AF arrived this morning, CD34. Probably won't be a +ive november for me either as DH is going away for 2 months sometime later this month, so he probably won't be here for my fertile window, but ya never know (in the army the dates for things change all the time, so gotta keep hoping). Will keep using my Persona this month just in case we can fit one or two BDs in at the right time.

Babymad2DS · 24/10/2006 18:01

McMrsJur I'm CD21 do i count for this roll-call? LOL! I dont know weather i'm coming or going this cycle weather i'm in oct-nov i should just give up!
Sideways how are you? what you been upto? and have you OVed? I'm just waitting now so hate that part, i could of oved on CD15 but just dont know!

Bodkin · 24/10/2006 20:01

Blimey, looks like it's a BFP convention over on October! Well done RH and ChocPeanut if you read this.

Hope the good luck carries on for us over here...

sideways · 24/10/2006 22:16

Hi babymad, not sure when I oved, I got cm starting cd10 up to about cd14/15, took ov test of cd 11 but -ve, and that was my last one so couldn't test again! Really need to pay more atention to my cm

Bd on cd 14, 15 and 16, so we'll see. Not too hopeful though.

How are you?

RachelRose · 25/10/2006 08:51

Hi there - I've just been catching up over the last few days and there seems to be quite a lot of girls confused about when they've OV'd. While I'm sorry for all those who aren't sure it does make me feel a little less alone, because I can't quite figure it out either. Oh, why does it have to be such a mystery!! I'm CD13 and have been doing my temps since CD1 - no shifts yet. I'm not doing OPK's this month as I got too stressed by -ve results last month.

Re: the alcohol question, there's also plenty of confusing advice when PG. With my first pregnancy the doctor said there was nothing wrong with having a small glass of wine a day, whereas with second pg, was told no alcohol was the safest. To be honest I've found that parenting is full of conflicting advice whether its about food, sleep, nuseries, discipline... Maybe the alcohol debate while ttc is just to break us all in gently for whats to come

Kyte - Oooh, that sounds painful - your poor DH!

Is Loujay the next to test? I've lost track if there are any others.

Bodkin, your weekend sounds perfect!

Hi to everyone else xx

LieselVonTrappDoor · 25/10/2006 09:49

Well a positive Octobers out - again. . I'll jump on this one - jaffas the pair of us.

loujay · 25/10/2006 09:57

Going to test tomorrow!! (if I can wait that long) LOL.
Still have really pinful breasts and felt sick again this morning.
Said to DH, if I am not PG then this is the worst PMT I have ever had!!

MrsMcJnr · 25/10/2006 10:36

Morning ladies - CD20 and all I can think about is have I OV/ will I/ can I still - ahhh! obsessed with a tiny egg!

Endless - don't be down, as you say, there is nothing you can do now apart from look after yourself, the wait will be over soon and you will know the outcome. Babydust to you!

Bodkin - Sounds like you had a great time, a big dose of happiness like that has got to do you good! You also have the perfect attitude this cycle so you never know. I think sore boobs generally signifies the presence of progestrone so it can happen around OV or after (my boobs are sore so I am hoping that means that I have OV).

Saf1 - How did the reflexology go? glad to hear that you are getting those BDs in where you can .

Welcome Loujay - you have given me hope because I don't think I have OV this cycle either. Isn't it weird how many of us there are? do you think that it is the change in the seasons or something? Fingers crossed for you and keep us posted!

Ready4motherhood - don't feel bad about showing us NICE it was interesting and as RachelRose said, there is just so much conflicting advice isn't there?

1n2s - I agree with you, we have to have some indication of when to BD - all cycle would be exhausting! Are those pains any better?

Kyte - your poor DH, sounds vry sore!

Sideways - bust sounds good, a BFP might sneak up on you!

Babymad - don't feel left out, I only put those that we had not heard from for a while on the roll-call! How are you feeling about things? and when do you start the child minding?

RachelRose - hello! Looking forward to catching up with you!

Hi Liesel - sory to hear AF arrived but welcome to November, we'll make you feel better

AnguaVonUberwald · 25/10/2006 10:53

Been waiting for my period to start after coming off contraception. But not been taking any precautions in the meantime.

Got all the symptoms that AF could start (PMT, stomach cramps etc) but can get them upto a week before AF starts, so don't necessarily mean anything. In theory could get pregant before first AF, (can happen apparently). But seems unlikely, waiting impatiently for first AF so can start TTC properly.

p.s. I presume CD means - Cycle day? Is this counted from start of AF or end?

Babymad2DS · 25/10/2006 11:21

MrsMcJur waitting for my forms to come in the post, could take 6 months to become a childminder! But it's something eles to look forward to!

Sideways i've only done 2 opk myself this cycle as i've heard that it cann give a false reading for them with PCOS which i'm having a scanand/or x-ray for 2 weeks today, so i dont want to waste my money any more untill i know if i have it or not, they wasn't helping me as i was geting upto nine +opk in a row, and doctor said that wasn't right and that you should only ever get three in a row, we'll see. Dont know when i oved, could of been CD5 still on AF at that time, or CD15 which i really dont know as temps are abit all over the place this cycle. Bding always gives you hope that maybe just maybe, IYSWIM, like me and DH we haven't BDed alot but there's still hope, fading fast as i feel AF coming on and temp did a big dip this morning but who knows! soz for going on . Good luck fingers crossed for you!

saf1 · 25/10/2006 13:05

Hi all,

Went to see reflexologist last night and she did a something flush can't remeber the name of it soz
Anyway it helps level out your estrogen (SORRY BOUT SPELLIN!!levels and get your hormones back into balance. I had to stand up whilst she did it. anyway have booked another session for about 10 days prior to ov if not pg this month. Then had 'normal' foot work done..very relaxing
I'm bloody knackered with all this b'ding and my dd1 still waking us up ...started at 2.45am this morning..sitting in work like a zombie today and can't wait to go to bed

Good luck all

hello everyone!

tili - glad to hear you are doing well how big is your bump now?

well i had my acupuncture today...she reccomended reiki too. i told her all about my history etc and she said that the reiki should sort everything out and i should have no problems conceiving it just all takes time.
one thing though - i now have a big scabby bump behind my right ear where she dug one needle in OUCH!

Tili · 25/10/2006 19:34

hi desperate hope things are going well

I dont have a bump as such yet im at that bit were i just look a bit flabby I will probably get up one morning in about 3 weeks time and it will look like a bump.

I have noticed my trousers getting a bit tighter so I have dug out the maternity wear for the morning nowt fastens LOL. one thing is though that I have lost an inch off my hips and an inch off my back but ive gone up 2 cup sizes

Best wishes to you for this month too
take care xx

Bodkin · 25/10/2006 20:59

Hi all.

MrsMcJnr - think the chilled out attitude this month comes partly from not knowing what the hell is going on with my cycle (so therefore will just have to be lucky, out of my hands etc) and partly from being madly busy. My friend who was staying left, and now my mum has arrived! Its like bleedin' Piccadilly Circus round here at the moment! - and a bit tricky to fit in much bding so hope my good work earlier in the cycle stands me in good stead.

Was up for a bit of action last night, but DP and I got into a really silly argument after watching that celebrity sex tape thing on CH4, ending up with him telling me I was uptight, because I said I would hate to be filmed in the act. I don't even like hearing my voice on the ansaphone, let alone watch my, ahem, "bedside manner" on the big screen!

Guess I'm technically in the 2ww now, even though I'm only on CD14 (think I ov'ed on Saturday, but that is just a guess) So let the symptom spotting begin!

ready4motherhood · 25/10/2006 21:14

I agree with you bodkin, being filmed in the act is not up there on my list of things to do!!! You are not uptight at all!!

RachelRose · 25/10/2006 21:17

Hi all,

Bodkin, I can't think of anyone I know wanting to be filmed - you're not being uptight at all! If you promise not to tell anyone {Rachel looks around to see if anyone can over-hear} I did have a 'video-taping' moment with an ex-boyfriend and it was the most awful thing I've ever seen! Oh my God, I dont like looking at my naked body at the best of times and, to be honest, the camera is not kind - Anyway the less said about that episode the better...

I'm on CD13 so just a day behind you, but not got a clue if I've OV'd - temps say not yet, but we'll see.

Loujay - Have you managed to avoid testing?? Fingers crossed for you!

How's everyone else?

Bodkin · 25/10/2006 21:28

Aaah, thanks gals, nice to know I am not alone on that one. RachelRose I'll just say and hats off to you for 'fessing up!!!!

RachelRose · 25/10/2006 21:32

Well, it was a long time ago and I was only a teenager (late teens!) - I dont think I'd be as ready to confess all in Real Life - MrsMcJ - make sure you wipe that from your mind before we meet for lunch tomorrow

ready4motherhood · 25/10/2006 21:51

The camera adds 10lbs!!!! I am not getting nude with that kind of weight gain!!!!!!

CD11 - and for some reason I don't feel too optimistic this month already after one BD... I think I am trying to get it into my head that it won't happen, so that it will be a great surprise if it does... last month I was really optimistic and got really upset when AF arrived. I don't want that again this month.

babydust to all * * *

Minshu · 25/10/2006 21:55

Hi Ladies,

Been unable to fight DH off the computer for long enough to post any messages for a few days, but done a sneaky bit of lurking to see how you are all getting on.

Confusion reigns about ov, it seems. This is my first month of temping, and not certain about the outcome. Fairly consistent from CD1 to CD13, then a drop? Now (CD17) it has risen to above the average AF temp, so may be ov. CM not being that helpful this month, in spite of the grapefruit juice. Just got to make sure that we keep at the BDing...

Bodkin - quite agree about the filming. It's a woman thing - we notice our flabby bits, but the men have rose-tinted spectacles and only see the bits they want to. Bless them.

Bodkin · 25/10/2006 22:02

I agree Minshu about the general confusion. In fact, prize goes to anyone on here who definitely knows when they ov'd this month! Not sure what the prize is yet, perhaps just a general all-over warm and smug feeling...

Oops, better go. Have left the mother alone in front of the telly all evening while I potter about on here...
