This is a thread for ladies who have been ttc longer than 10 months who have started the ball rolling with tests and treatments. We are all here to support each other though these darker days to the baby shaped light at the end of the tunnel!

travellinglemon I know how you feel, I had pretty much given up all hope. Wasn't testing, symptom spotting, targeting ovation or anything! For several months. We have been averaging DTD 4 - 6 times per month recently. I stayed away from these boards as felt so cheated overtime a newbie got a BFP! and it just ramped up my level of crazy. But it can happen so chin up! x

Hi m33r Its grand to see some of the 'old' names lurking about. :-)

m33r · 01/12/2014 22:20

travelling it can happen. It took us 20 months and all the tests etc too. I was 10 days away from my ivf appt. I'm 24+4.

notta just thrilled for you x

lildottie · 01/12/2014 23:39

congratulations notta that's amazing! so happy for you. Thanks

lady I had a separate appt booked for dildocam. its basically a long probe, the put a cindim and lube on and gently "insert" it. the move it side to side a bit to look at ovaries. they could see 2-3 folicles growing on my first then a definite dominant one on second (had 2 as I ov late so was too early in my cycle on cd14). not painful at all and not really all that uncomfortable. worst but was she used so much lube but I wasn't given anything to clean up with so I left feeling rather sticky!

shandrexx · 02/12/2014 06:20

Wow this thread is going strong! I've been away for awhile and now have loads to catch up. Hasn't anyone invented an easy trick to get us pregnant while I was away??
victoria I went to see a doctor to request an iui this month but very disappointingly she ordered fresh sets of my blood test and dh's SA. She said we can aim for it next month. I told her that we won't be together at the magic time for next three cycles. She calmed replied to come back in three months. Wtf? In frustration and anger, DH and I found a last minute deal and went to sunny holidayWow this thread is going strong! Sorry I've been away on holidays and then 2ww started last week so I've been obsessed reading signs in my body! victoria I didn't get to have the iui(unfortunately with his child too). I'm half way through 2ww. I'm tired of this déjà vu. I'm pretty sure my AF is on the way, I can just feel it. :( it's great news you got the date. I know how frustrating it is when people say "relax". I recently talked to a mum who conceived a boy after 1st cycle of ivf. I wanted to get info about the clinic. She said it's invasive and stressful. She advised me to relax, maybe it's taking me longer than usual. She meant well but I couldn't keep a straight face. :( Anyway good luck to you. Hope all of us get a bpf for Xmas!!

babydream15 · 02/12/2014 06:53

I'm not sure what just happened up there. Sorry about the messy message. Brushing teeth and typing on an iPhone with sleepy head is a disaster. I wish I can use "pregnancy brain" as an excuse. Good day!

Congrats Blue!!!! that is amazing there has been so much good news! Who's next???? Keep them coming ladies :)

Metalhead · 02/12/2014 17:36

So ladies, I had my hysteroscopy this morning. Everything went well and I got back home around 3pm. The results were a bit of a surprise however: turns out I didn't have any adhesions after all! The obstruction that the consultant saw on the ultrasound was just some sort of bulge in the cervical canal, but he said everything looked fine in there, and he also flushed through my tubes and they seemed to be working too. So, we've been given the go ahead to continue ttc straight away, which is good news, though I'm a bit Hmm as to why my periods have been so weird and we haven't conceived yet if everything is ok. Back to the drawing board I guess!
