The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Maybe I need to find a tree to hug or something - I sound very self absorbed! Thank goodness for this site!

Tranquilitybaby · 17/09/2014 23:19

I'm ok thanks purple, DH has been working home today so I haven't been in my own. Much as I don't wish any of this happening, I do hope it's just an early mc rather than another ectopic. At least I know I can get pregnant quickly with only one tube, so for that I'm grateful.

The bleeding is still bright red and clotty but not in pain now. Just tired.

Can we TTC again once the bleeding subsides or do we need to wait a cycle? Just desperately want some good news for a change so we talked and decided to try again.

mrsc you sound so down, virtual hug to you. Take care.

Tranquilitybaby · 17/09/2014 23:20

boozle I know what about work, I'm self employed and I couldn't give two hoots about it all at the minute.

BlinkAndMiss · 17/09/2014 23:22

Boozle I'm with you on that one! I don't feel like my job resembles the one I signed up for at all. Good for you telling them, I know it's hard to express how you really feel whilst remaining 'in favour' but sometimes it just has to be done. I think mere are loads do us who feel the same way.

Oh Monten I'm so sorry, I'm sorry AF arrived and that you're in limbo with what's happening. I was reading that after every pregnancy (full term or not) our bodies and cycles change. It could just be that your body is falling into a new rhythm which will, take a little while to,settle. I know that doesn't help from a time perspective, but I do think it's normal to have this happen. Try to think of it as a new chance, I know it's not much comfort but your body is clearly going through the cycles so that's one less thing to worry about. It might just need a little tuning.

Congratulations longestlurker a line us a line!

Brummie my plans were to temp and do OPKs this month. Then my wtf cycle really stressed me out, moreso because of all the peeing on sticks. I've decided to just see what happens without the sticks or temping this month, I really needed the break. So far I feel ok, I'm cd 13 so just DTD every other day for the next 2 weeks (or that's the plan!).

Tranquilitybaby · 17/09/2014 23:22

Thanks Tori

If you've been going to the gym then you're fine to carry on, just be careful with any heavy weights and too much abdominal work xx

Boozle that's exactly how I feel!
Sending you hugs because I know it's shit.

Well your ovulation dances worked! My temp rose today :) ignoring the fact I've also got a cold now just got to hope it stays up to confirm :)

StopEatingThatMud · 18/09/2014 07:25

Oh boozle ! That sounds like the sort of thing I'd say. You don't sound self absorbed at all, I think we're all entitled to be a little self absorbed on here anyway!

tranquility hope you've been ok overnight. We dtd the day my bleeding stopped and have done every 2/3 days since. I think it's mainly recommended you wait for AF first to avoid confusion over dates but we decided not to wait.

Good news treacle ! Not a clue if there's any ovulation happening here rgud month so I'm hoping your dance has magically worked for us all!

StopEatingThatMud · 18/09/2014 07:30

Oh and mrs I gladly accept your offer of a race to AF Smile

I'm normally a 30 day-er and on day 26 of WTF cycle so I'm hoping I don't have to go too far over normal!

Treaclepie19 · 18/09/2014 07:57

I'll do a dance for you all as well! Come on eggies!!!

Monten · 18/09/2014 09:12

Morning ladies - thanks all of you for lovely messages. What would I do without this forum! blink you are absolutely right - I just need to think positively - this is a fresh start! Different doesn't mean wrong so just because my body is doing different things than it did before does not mean I will never get pregnant again!

tranquility so sorry you are going through this. When do you get your results back?

lurker that's brilliant news, a line is a line! I can understand why you are worried tho. Did you hear back from your consultant? Do you know what the causes have been previously?

Sorry if have missed anyone else - am in a bit of a mad rush this morning. My alarm went off at 6.30 and I thought fuck it and went back to sleep. I don't care I don't care, work can jtfo la la la la. x

Thepurplegiraffe · 18/09/2014 09:40

Tranquillity glad to hear you are doing ok considering. Hope you get your results soon and can figure things out.

Stopeatingthatmud I think I might do the same re dtd. I think I feel like I need to be doing something positive, no way are we waiting for first af. I am hoping the bleeding will stop any day now and we can move on.

Sorry to all those struggling with work. I am going back after mat leave in a week or 2 and am totally dreading it. I thought I was only going back for a few months and now who knows. Although my job is at risk so maybe I will lose it anyway...

broodylicious · 18/09/2014 13:17

monten, sending you big hugs. Next month is our month, sweet xxx

thesmallbear · 18/09/2014 13:39

Blimey it's hard to keep up with this thread if you don't visit it for a little while.

Congratulations longestlurker - it's so great to hear some positive news.

Sorry to hear so many of us are struggling with work. I think we all understand why work doesn't feel important anymore or why we don't give two shits.

My internet cheapie OPKs arrived yesterday and I got a positive result and DTD so FX. Do I need to POAS again today, or once it's detected the hormone do you leave it till next month? Once you get a positive you ovulate with 36 hours right? I struggle to get DP to DTD on consecutive days, but Friday will be too late?

Metalhead · 18/09/2014 13:55

Sorry AF got you Monten, it just sucks every time.

lurker I really hope this is it for you and you get your happy ending this time!

thesmall I sometimes get three days of +opks and only ovulate on day three, so 72 hours after the first one. Might be worth doing one today to check if it's still positive or not, if it isn't then you're probably save to not dtd tonight (though if you can manage then I would!).

Well, I had my ultrasound this morning and everything seems to be in order. The lady said my lining was average thickness for this stage of my cycle, and although my ovaries looked "slightly polycystic" she wasn't too concerned about it as I have reasonably regular periods. So, good news I guess, but just leaves me still wondering why I can't get pregnant...

Tranquilitybaby · 18/09/2014 14:18

Thanks for the advice stopeating and for thinking of me ladies. I feel brighter today, still bleeding but it's like a normal period now.

My test came back from the doctors as negative but I did two superdrug tests at home the same day (Tuesday) and they were positive. Will attach a photo of one, not imagining it am I? So guess that will just get logged as not pg on my records despite me showing the gp my test. She said she couldn't see anything. Hmm

Tranquilitybaby · 18/09/2014 14:20

Either way, it's all over now, so got to move on, I'm just thankful it's not another ectopic as that was so frightening. Really want to TTC again when the bleeding stops if I'm feeling upto it. I know we can fall reasonably easy still, it's just it sticking. I've stopped the Aspirin and don't think I'll go back on it, will just stick to 5mg of folic acid and that's it. Xx

longestlurkerever · 18/09/2014 15:55

That's definitely a line tranquility. I take it your gp has never obsessively ttced? I am sorry it didn't work out. Chemicals are cruel - I had one and I felt like my body was playing tricks on me. Still worried I might have another as my line is no darker today really. Will give it a few days before panicking though.

Phryn · 18/09/2014 16:56

Tranquility I can definately see a line too. I agree with lurker that your GP must just not understand the POAS squinting that comes with TTCingmania (definately "a thing"). Joking aside I really hope that the bleeding eases soon and I'm so pleased it's not an ectopic. Be gentle with yourself and you'll be ready to TTC again soon/when is right for you.

Sunbathing sorry to hear your news - I hope you don't have to wait too long to see the Gynae for some advice. Hopefully having a diagnosis might help them support you with what will help you to conceive - but I appreciate it's rubbish to have to wait for the info/reassurance.

I had a minor win today. Am at the hopsital where I have to walk through either the ultrasound waiting room or the AN waiting room to get to the paediatric clinic rooms that I used. I managed to smile at two different pregnant ladies who caught my eye today rather than scurrying past with downcast eyes and a very resentful/sad face. I'm not saying I'll be able to do that every week and I suspect that at certain times I'll still be feeling resentful and jealous, but today I didn't so that was good.

Thanks Metalhead just did another OPK and it came back negative so I guess that was my chance for this month. DTD Monday (when I didn't test) and yesterday when I got a positive so looks like we got our timing right, will just have to wait and see now.

Does ovulation make you tired btw? I'm guessing I ovulated today from the OPK and I feel absolutely exhausted and heavy!

SunbathingCat - sorry to hear your news. Hopefully something can be done to help you.
