The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Yes I'm going private, it's only £60 for a basic ultrasound and I didn't want to wait months for an NHS referral. I don't know whether I'm just panicking, I still get one day of fairly heavy bleeding, but the remaining 3-4 days are just really light flow and I also get a day of spotting before AF comes properly every month, which I never had before. Coupled with the fact that we've been trying for 6 months now and dtd loads over my fertile window with no success just make me very worried that something's wrong! Last time I got pregnant after using opks for just 2 months...

SunbathingCat Wow I didn't realise the cheapies were THAT cheap. Just ordered 30 OPK for £5.49 and 15 pregnancy tests for £2.80. Will they fit through my letter box if I'm not in when they arrive or will I need to go to the Post Office to collect them? Hope you manage to catch this month. Sounds promising from what you've said Smile

I have made a complaint to Clear Blue and told them it's ridiculous that a brand new box doesn't work at the price they charge and that I expect a replacement. Lets see what happens!

ignominious · 15/09/2014 14:12

One of the women on Facebook who is due when I would have been has posted saying she hates being pregnant. Agh.

ignominious - gah. Bloody pg women. Such insensitive cow bags out there, aren't there? One of my NCT friends had a group of us round to her house a few weeks back and announced her pg. Three of the four of us who were invited have mc in last six months and still not pg again yet so the faked smiles and restrained urges to punch her were in full swing. She insisted she thought "it would be best to tell us face to face than us finding out on email or Facebook". Really?! Really?! Effing bitch. I saw one of our mutual NCT friends this morning and she said she was disgusted by the insensitivity, ignorance and cruelty shown - and she hasn't mc!

monten, I gave in and tested with fmu earlier. Bfn. Really peed off because, like you, I just want AF to show her face and move on to a new cycle. The pains I've been having are horrid, crampy in my tummy and sharp stabs in my boobs so feeling doubly crap Hmm

thesmallbear I'm using sainsbury's cheapies and they only show peak days. They also work on a colour comparison basis, comparing your result against the control line, no smiley faces etc so I'm not finding them particularly easy to read. But at only £7 a box I think I'll stick with them until wtf cycle is over.

Just back from GP's with diagnosis of slight temp, raised glands, viral rash and general run down-ness. Felt a bit daft going in but the only follow up I've had post mc was my blood results via sodding text message. No phone call, nothing, certainly no check that mc was complete, so I thought signs of infection were worth getting checked. He was utterly lovely but just said paracetamol and rest. I'm not too good at resting it must be said...

StopEatingThatMud · 15/09/2014 16:40

Cripes I didn't realise Internet cheapies were THAT cheap! I shall be ordering a bulk load of those next month assuming AF makes her appearance at any point. Thanks sunbathing !!

Treaclepie19 · 15/09/2014 17:48

Monten my productivity has plummeted too. Problem is I feel so guilty.

This morning I just kept thinking 6 weeks til half term and trying not to think 6 weeks til I shouldve been starting maternity.

I did have pinching when I was pregnant! Sounds like a good sign!

Thepurplegiraffe · 15/09/2014 18:55

Thanks for the lovely welcome. I went to EPU today and waited for 3 hours to be told that tge test was negative. They took some blood but that was pretty much it. No advice or what to do going forward. But that's fine I've learnt what I need to on mn and I have it logged in case it happens again.
At least it looks like the m/c is reasonably straight forward. Just waiting to get on with things now.

Monten · 15/09/2014 19:16

Sorry about the bfn broody - any chance it could be too early? I keep conveniently forgetting I have had two negative tests and getting all excited about my symptoms. Sadly the longer this goes on the more I realise my mind is an unreliable witness!

Am so sorry about your nct friend - what a total cow! She could have just sent you each an email to tell you, rather than making a big song and dance about it. Be etch indeed.

Do you remember I told you guys about my client who took the team and I out for dinner and announced her pregnancy. Due in Jan, like I would have been? Well today I had to call her to talk about how we are going to manage when she is on her maternity leave. I have to go in next week and present plans for how I propose to manage the work and relationship in her absence. You couldn't make this shit up.

Sorry the EPU was less than helpful purple. Sadly aftercare is seemingly non-existent in most places. I hope we can give you the support you need x.

Foxtrot7459 · 15/09/2014 19:38

I wish I had some of your jobs - although I get to work from home the odd day (which I'm grateful for as I have a long commute and it's a chance to get work done with no distractions) I have a ridiculous schedule and have to provide a weekly report of what I have done, raise issues and project the week ahead. If I skived I'd be found out pretty quickly.

It has actually been really good for me since mc as it keeps me occupied and I'm so exhausted at the end of the day that I sleep ok too.

Starting to panic reading the days posts - AF since mc has been very light for me, last month was almost normal but this month it is super light, I don't require a tampon and not really a pad or liner - just some black underwear!!

My mc was natural so I'm hoping I have no syndromes etc. I've even started to question whether this months has officially started... Arrrgghhhhhhh!

StopEatingThatMud · 15/09/2014 19:40

Oh monten you truly couldn't make it up, that's awful. I understand it needs to be done, but honestly, could your employer not find some way to make it quite so utterly shit? I'm not sure how, but that's just an utter kick when you're down situation.

purple I had similar, blood results via text the next day and nothing else. I've found MN and the miscarriage association website incredibly helpful in terms of what to expect, practicalities, what's 'normal' - the incredibly huge range of normal that is!

Foxtrot7459 · 15/09/2014 19:41

^ that was post 666 - I'm doooooomed!! Grin

StopEatingThatMud · 15/09/2014 19:44

foxtrot we're micromanaged to a T at my work so no chance of skiving either. I've also found weekdays do go much quicker than weekends mind you, especially when DP is working over the weekend.

Seriously contemplating pulling a sickie for about the 3rd time in 5 years at my work tomorrow. DD has a full day at nursery which only happens Mon/tues and the prospect of a lazy sofa day is oh so tempting.

charlieis30 · 15/09/2014 19:45

foxtrot no worries, it's something that only happens with an ERPC/D&C... they scrape a bit too much, basically. You're likely just having a light one. Don't worry too much!

Hope26 · 15/09/2014 19:47

Hi ladies. Had my 12w scan and so far they see a viable pregnancy. 16w scan booked in for oct, I hope it is all good, keep me in your prayers. I will still keep lurking on this thread. Everyone has been amazing and I want to hear more good news for all of you xxx

Treaclepie19 · 15/09/2014 19:50

That's great Hope, I'm so pleased :)

Thepurplegiraffe · 15/09/2014 19:52

That's great news Hope I'm sure everyone is happy to hear some positive news.

StopEatingThatMud · 15/09/2014 20:14

Amazing news Hope ! Really pleased for you and I hope more of us join you soon :)

ignominious · 15/09/2014 20:17

Congratulations hope. Spread the fertility around please!

Just got asked if I was secretly pg :( if this month doesn't bring me a bfp I'm going to go crazy.

StopEatingThatMud · 15/09/2014 20:23

ignominous colleague at work joked today about me being pg when I said I'd been up in the night feeling sick on Saturday. I blurted out exactly how I knew I wasn't. She was mortified bless her but I haven't the patience to tip toe around being nice at the moment!
