The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

I think I'm ovulating today.

Waiting to see what temp says tomorrow :)

Hopefully :) I'm annoyed because we missed two days but not much I can do now.

I have my fingers crossed for you, thats good that you would be closer to being referred though.
We're on cycle 3 of properly trying again after the mc. We had 4 cycles before getting pregnant too. I just worry that I'm going to miscarry again and again.

Treacle! How do you know you're ov? I thought I could read my body but was clearly just spectacularly wrong, so help me out :)
It seems as though temping is THE actual way to know (albeit to confirm when it is potentially too late) - would you all agree and say you rate temping more than using cbfm or opks?

charlieis30 · 14/09/2014 20:32

sunbathing/treacle don't lose hope, the months I got pregnant weren't necessarily the ones DH and I DTD "properly"!

Treaclepie19 · 14/09/2014 20:32

Mademoiselle, only really because I think I had some ewcm yesterday and I've been using opk's alongside temping so got a solid smiley today. My temp dipped a bit too which it tends to do.
I think temping is very useful. My only worry is when I'm unwell or if I have a few drinks it's not as reliable.

Treaclepie19 · 14/09/2014 20:33

Cross post Charlie, thank you! :)

MademoiselleG · 14/09/2014 20:40

Oh dear. If drinking upsets temping, then it definitely isn't for me Wink

How are you doing now Hope?

Treaclepie19 · 14/09/2014 21:41

Just sat here working out my due date for this cycle (dh's nans bday), when the 12 week scan would be (day after my mom's bday), how far I'd be by my due date. Realised I also now work out what would be happening around 8+3 as thats when I started bleeding last time :/

Thepurplegiraffe · 14/09/2014 21:59

Hi all can I join? It might be a bit early as my m/c started on Friday and is nowhere near finished but I have found this thread so helpful already. I haven't really seen anyone yet, going to call EPU in the morning, but I have been bleeding heavily all weekend so I know the outcome. I am 36 and this would have been no 2. We were ttc for 2 months before this.

I am already desperate for the bleeding to stop so we can ttc again but I realise that is a long way off.

Thepurplegiraffe · 14/09/2014 22:00

Sorry forgot to say, I was 5 weeks.

StopEatingThatMud · 14/09/2014 22:07

Hi purplegiraffe sorry you have to be here, but welcome.

I'm only 3 wks post 1st mc so still getting my head round this all but I've found being here incredibly helpful.

And I felt exactly the same about wanting to stop bleeding so we could start trying again. I think partly it wasggaining a little tiny bit of control back over a situation I had no controlI over maybe?

I hope this evening is as comfortable as it can be for you.

StopEatingThatMud · 14/09/2014 22:12

treacle I fully expect to have a 'thing' about getting past 5w3 next time :(

We're contemplating a week away in November and have the time booked off work. I said to DP today I want to wait before booking anything and we'll likely only book it last minute if i don't manage to get pregnant again by then, as I daren't contemplate being abroad if I mc again

Welcome Thepurplegiraffe, I'm sorry for your loss. This thread is an amazing place, such lovely ladies with so much advice and hand holding. Im also ttc #2, 2 months trying then mc. If it wasn't for this thread I'd be very alone, but I've gradually got stronger and stronger each week and you will too. Definitely get in touch with your GP so it's on record.

treacle I've stopped myself from doing the exact same thing! I know that the more I know the more obsessed I get. I've managed to get to cd10 but I'm starting to wobble. I managed to stop myself buying OPKs this afternoon! My app says '2 days until fertile window' which is making me anxious and not in a good way.

I feel a lot better about everything today, it's as if seeing my pregnant friend has really helped me which I didn't expect. I was dreading it and worrying for our friendship but I felt so relieved afterwards that I didn't break down that I felt better about everything. It's like the worst is over and I can just move on. Odd moment of clarity tonight, I guess this will all be different tomorrow but at least the fog has lifted for a few minutes.

MrsConfusion · 14/09/2014 22:41

Hey ladies just popping in to say hi. Hello newbies, sorry that you're in the position to join us but so glad you've found this group.

I know what you mean about planning ahead being complicated - DH is desperate to book in theatre trips, visits to friends etc (nice things to look forward to, which is very lovely of him) but I'm reluctant as I just don't know what will be happening by then - which he thinks is crazy. I'm relieved some of you feel the same.

I'm so impressed with those of you able to read your bodies so clearly. I just can't make sense of various aches, pains, cm (in)consistencies, especially this month as my hormones seem to be all over the place. I've been a bit hyper this weekend and really randy, very unlike me!

Lots of luck for the week ahead, x
