The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Thank you for the welcome ladies. lurker not TTC again just yet. I had to have a medical miscarriage which was only this week but think we will wait for at least one af to come along.

sarahlou I've got my fingers crossed for you. I got my positive on day 48 and I thought my boobs were sore when I came off contraception but they were a million times worse a few days before I tested.

Fergie11 · 13/09/2014 19:41

Welcome claire so sorry your here however it's a great place for support.

Sorry ladies but I need a good rant. Having a bad day as when I logged onto fb I saw SIL had posted for sale baby items. During 1st pregnancy in March she told me about one of the items she had so I when I saw it for sale it was like oh I'll just sell it as they won't need it after 2 mmc. I deactivated my fb account and DH text her about the insensitive post. I know she didn't mean it but if she hadn't told me about what she had I wouldn't have taken it so bad. I was also thinking yesterday that I should be 32 weeks or even 14 weeks and my hormones are going crazy as 1st AF after erpc should be due in the next week. Anyway who wants shitty second half stuff and I know I'll get my baby one day (I have to believe it!!). Sorry rant over xx

Hello lovely ladies - greetings from New York. Hope you are all doing ok - big hugs to any newbies. Sorry I'm a bit behind after being off the radar for a couple of days.
Only logging on to say my post ERPC has arrived!!! After 26 days so I'm shocked at how quickly.
Normal cycles are about 24 days. So actually only 2 days late.
Cross because planning a weekend of DTD with DP in a lovely hotel room clearly ain't happening.

But so happy that it's arrived and things are returning to normal and we can try again.

Trying to ignore the niggle that AF means I'm definitely not pregnant anymore. But I'm having a fab time in NYC - I will be happy that it means all is ok - we can try again.

Happy Saturday to you all. I'm having a good day but I know others are still struggling. Big love xxx

StopEatingThatMud · 13/09/2014 22:02

Evening ladies, sorry there's more than a fair share of bad days doing the rounds. I hope tomorrow is brighter.

Two quick questions - this is all new to me - DD was textbook, get pregnant, have baby. What's a WTF cycle? Think I've guessed this one but not 100%. And CDxx days - what does this mean?

Sorry for asking daft questions!

Tori I am sorry you've had a tough day. It is so hard seeing any pregnant woman at all, let alone someone close and even worse, with a similar due date to what yours should have been. It seems that she was trying to be sensitive to you - even if it probably felt uncomfortable (to say the least!) to you too. I am sorry it spoilt what should have been a lovely occasion. How are you feeling now?

Quick question to the crew: I had light spotting Monday and Tuesday, then nothing, then fairly heavy bleeding Friday morning, which had stopped by the afternoon, and now just brown spotting. This is the first kind of 'action' since the tfmr 9 weeks ago. Any idea if I should count this as CD1, as a period or as just nothing at all?

Treaclepie19 · 14/09/2014 07:16

I'm not sure on the one mademoiselle, I'd probably count I as a period if it were me.

Brummie glad your af arrived. Enjoy New York :)

Sorry you're having a tough time Tori :(
Big hugs all x

NewEraNewMindset · 14/09/2014 09:08

So AF arrived this morning, one day early, my cycle is now only 24 days. Absolutely ridiculous. I just feel a tiny bit better and then my body has to do something else to make me feel like total shit again.

I am trying so hard to stop TTC as I know it's not going to happen but each month I get dragged into the hope again. Fuck you body and fuck you menopause.

StopEatingThatMud · 14/09/2014 09:53

Thanks Tori that's what I suspected on the WTF. I'm 21 days post mc, normal cycle averages out at 30 but has been up to 33, so trying to prepare myself for the long haul this month. Not very successfully mind.

newera I float between 24 and 33 days normally so maybe it'll increase next month? I'm no expert mind you! Are you monitoring for ovulation, sorry if daft question?

Monten · 14/09/2014 10:11

Hi era sorry to hear that, what cycle post mc are you again?

Hi stop cdx means cycle length. So 1st day of af is CD1.

Hey madame I would take that as AF. Don't worry if it is not like normal af, it rarely is. I would probably take Friday as CD1. Fx for you.

Tested again this morning, bfn. Absolutely gutted. I really feel pregnant now, cramps, cm, tired, hungry, incredibly moody and don't want DP to come anywhere near me. This is cd31, last cycle was 27 days so potentially 4 days late but previous cycles before mc were 35 days so potentially 4 days early.

Can anyone give me any hope? I'm using clearblue digis as that is what I have in the house. The two times I was pregnant i got positives with them but my records show (yes I keep records Smile ) that I didn't test until 5 days late.

I hate this. Hate it. Hate it. Sorry everyone.

Metalhead · 14/09/2014 10:21

monten I've never used the digis but have heard that they're not very sensitive. Could you get a FRER and test again? Do have any idea how many dpo you are?

Monten · 14/09/2014 10:40

I don't know unfortunately. Last time we dtd was 2 weeks on weds so I guess if nothing by then I will know! I will wait a few days and if still nothing will buy a frer. Bastard body

Thanks
Foxtrot7459 · 14/09/2014 10:47

Sorry monten AF got me yesterday so I'm back to CD2 today. When I got pregnant I tested negative 4 days late (not fmu) and then positive 7 days late (fmu). I just knew I was pregnant so was surprised at the negative and put it down to not being fmu. I was so naive and relaxed about it then.

There is hope still and totally agree with the 'bastard body' statement x

Metalhead · 14/09/2014 10:58

Fx for you monten!

Sorry about AF foxtrot.

I'm on CD14 and no sign of any ewcm yet, opks are also still almost blank. Last cycle I got a positive on CD16 but it looks like this is going to be a longer one again. Got my pelvic scan on Thursday so would be nice if they could see an egg ready to pop!

Monten · 14/09/2014 10:59

Sorry AF came foxtrot Thanks.

'I was so naive and relaxed about it then'

Me too! How did I wait until I was 5 days late (actually 9 days late the first time!). I was so zen.

Just read back my post, my
'pregnancy' symptoms are actually just classic af symptoms! But the first time I was pregnant I did turn into the bitch from hell so really hoping that's the reason I keep wanting to rip dp's head off Grin

Allthefours · 14/09/2014 12:58

Monten - when I conceived last time I tested on CD43, BFN, I tested again on CD 46 and got a faint BFP on a cheap boots test, string positive on FRER on day 44. My cycle is normally 38-40 days so in theory I was 6 days late before I got a BFP. I was getting pregnancy symptoms a good 7 days before the BFP. Fingers crossed for you. It's a pain that preg symptoms are so similar to AF as well.

As for me, not a lot going on, I'm on CD19 on my WTF cycle following MC2. As the last MC was so early I'm not waiting for AF, I'm far too impatient for that. Last cycle I ov'd around CD28 so hoping I following the same cycle.

DH and I are hoping that we get our 3rd time lucky.

Thanks allthefours that gives me hope! I'm wishing for my third time lucky too x

sunbathing exactly - not being pregnant is bad enough but adding irregular cycles to the mix just tips me right over the edge.

sunbathing no advice on clearblue opks I'm afraid but I've heard lots of people say they get fleshing smileys for ages. Good luck with the Dtd-ing

No probs, they always work for me eventually. Kitty used to have to use them at a different time of day though I think as she couldn't get them to work. This month I've only had 3 flashing smileys so it just depends :)

Treaclepie19 · 14/09/2014 18:46

Oh, and I am feeling like I have thrush again!!! :( hope it's just too much dtd and not thrush.
