The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Oh Broody thinking of you - mines in a couple of weeks and I'm dreading it. Drink wine and be kind to yourself.

I'm back at St Mary's for a follow up scan and all is looking good after the op - the difference in care is amazing - 2 weeks and my bits are all back to normal - last time it took 2 and half months!
They said it's looking good to go to ttc number 4 or I can wait for tests which will take 7 monthish to complete. DP wants to try again next month, I just don't know what to do for the best. Argh!
Hope everyone has a good a Friday as they can. I might drink wine and eat Brie...

MrsBeeBeeBee · 12/09/2014 09:55

sending you lots of love broody. xxx

Hope everyone's doing ok. Sorry I've not been in here much. Bit pissed off with the whole TTC thing at mo and I'm a right grump.

Hugs Broody. Welcome and sorry Stopeating (love the name). Sending you all warm hugs.

A BFN for me this morning at 10DPO. Could just be too early but the symptoms I thought I had seem to have gone too since I ran out of agnus castus so I think that's me out for this cycle. Not too upset - just a bit worried that the vanishing symptoms might be a sign of implantation problems again - ie an undetectable mc. But who knows really? Will try not to obsess. Have my saline scan as soon as AF shows up. Not expecting to learn much but it's another box to tick off.

Phryn · 12/09/2014 11:46

Huge hugs for you Broody - you're not being self-indulgant or self-pitying at all. We know how hard today must be for you, and we'll stand with you in your grief and send you love, strength, Cake, Wine and Brew

(Is it just me or does that image make the mumsnet logo look vaguely like a blue cannabis leaf?)

Hi stop - sadly it is me from the April AN bus. I MC'd a few days after you did. The ladies on this thread are awesome though and it has already made such a difference to getting through all the crap of MC and being post MC. I'm still waiting for AF to turn up again - have never wanted her to turn up so much! (We've not really dtd much this month so am planning to ttc with avengence post AF).

Big hugs to all who are feeling sad/grumpy/rubbish. We've nearly got through another week though! Yay us! :)

sarahlou20 · 12/09/2014 12:08

Hi everyone,

Dulcet - Oh I'm so very sorry to hear your news. I just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you and hope that you're being well looked after. Sending you a big hug from me.

I've been trying to catch up with what has been written over the past few days and noticed several are getting frustrated with their OHs. Me too, and for exactly the same reasons! They just don't seem to get how desperately we want to get pregnant again, and isn't it amazing how they seem to back off at the merest suggestion that we want to have sex to try to conceive. Had a bit of a run-in with my OH on Sat morning as I was fretting about not having enough sex, and then went to work feeling all teary and emotional on Sat (I work shifts) and then burst into tears in front of everyone in the office for no apparent reason. I'm usually so rational and level-headed. Very embarrassing!

Well I'm currently on CD45 of first proper cycle post-MMC (not counting WTF cycle). It's not unusual for me to have longish, irregular cycles, and I'm trying not to get excited because no doubt AF will put in an appearance soon, but some of the symptoms I'm getting are similar to those I had when I was pg last time - prickly, stinging nipples, bloating, feeling a tiny by nauseous, constipation (sorry for the detail!) and mild cramping. I can't help but wonder if I'm pg again. 45 days is an unusually long cycle isn't it?

sarahlou20 · 12/09/2014 12:12

Did anyone else have crazily long cycles after their MC? AF arrived 6 weeks after my MMC and ERPC and it's now nearly 7 weeks since that AF.

longestlurkerever · 12/09/2014 12:13

Have you tried a test Sarah? - I have long cycles too but generally 44 days tops. I find it hard to resist POAS at the

longestlurkerever · 12/09/2014 12:13

sorry - meant to say at the merest hint of a symptom

Longest - I've got a supply of those tiny cheap sticks from amazon but it was negative this morning. I'm not sure how sensitive they are though so bought some Boots tests which can be used 4 days before your period. I have no idea when my period should be starting though so I'll try tomorrow morning. I ought to wait a week but I'm so impatient

longestlurkerever · 12/09/2014 12:33

Good luck Sarah. I find superdrug tests to be the best compromise between sensitivity and price but I am impatient too!

Witchesbrewandbiscuits · 12/09/2014 12:45

Hi, pls can I join? Ttc#2, 2mmc.

Recently had polyps removed and cycle has returned to normal. Ish. Missed the boat this month but nxt month I'm good to go. Just popped some pre natal vits and thought omg it could happen soon. Bit apprehensive about whether bean will stick around next time, and not even preg yet Confused

MrsBeeBeeBee · 12/09/2014 12:46

sunbathing glad you're feeling better today, but that letter is absolutely awful. If you feel up for it please put in a complaint. It won't help you now but it may work towards stopping another lady receiving similar. Xx

Sorry for bfn longest hope it's just too early

sarahlou I'm another that had a really short cycle the first proper cycle after miscarriage. (Wft cycle was 28 days, next cycle was 24days)
I've been tracking ov and did get a positive opk on cd11 last time and didn't get it until about day 15 this time so expecting a longer cycle this month.

Well ladies I had been following mumsnet on the app which goes to a new page for reply so you have to try remember who said what etc but I've just discovered the browser is far better and you can scroll through the post as you type so I really will try better to be good support for you all.

Sorry to see new faces in here since I last properly on here. Xx

WARNING ladies, another me,me,me post coming up: just heard that I didn't get the job I interviewed for yesterday. My life is just one big disappointment after another at the moment, I really don't know why I even bother...

phryn you made me laugh though, it does look like a cannabis leaf!

Oh MrsBee - sorry that you are fed up and a grump. It's so frustrating, isn't it? And everything takes soooooo looooong. It seems that patience truly is the only cure for everything and it is the one thing I have in very, very short supply! Sending you big (((hugs))) and hoping you get a lovely, sticky B-FAT-P really soon. I think of you often Grin

AFM: I am pleased to announce.....drumrolls........that AF has fina-frickin-nally made an appearance!!! After nearly 9 weeks post TFMR and oads of spotting, I'm in full cramp mode. Hurray! Never thoughts I'd ever be this pleased to have a period. I am going to try and step away from all the OPKs and other sticks though, as I just end up driving myself mental.

It's Friday - is anyone POAS? Fingers xxx if you are!

broodylicious · 12/09/2014 17:05

Thank you all so much for your kindness and hugs. You ladies have helped me through this horrid time so much. We are away on holiday until tomorrow so it's been a really nice distraction leading up to today... but I have been properly away with the fairies and my angel today.

My adorable dd (2.5 nearly) said last night, as she was falling asleep: "love you mummy. Sank you for lovely day. Love you. Nighty night". I'm clinging on to desperate hope that the reason my jeans are so tight over my tummy these last few days could be a little bean (tbh it'd be more of a bloody miracle than the biggest miraculous thing you can imagine!) so I can give her a brother or sister to play with. She would be such an amazing big sister.

So sorry to welcome new faces here and read a few of you are having issues with your dp/dh. Stick close. It's your love together and for each other that makes you want to make a little bean in the first place.

Boozle80 · 12/09/2014 19:22

My OH keeps threatening to infiltrate this thread to find out what we're all saying - I told him he'd just find out that he's not the stud muffin that he believes himself to be... All those "that's amazing..." Not true... He looked a little sad and then checked I was joking... He's currently downstairs doing sit-ups, very funny :)

Treaclepie19 · 12/09/2014 19:25

Haha Boozle :p sounds like something my DH would do. There's not much I'd say on here I wouldn't say to him - if anything. We are close, despite the arguments.

I am enjoying a glass of Beringer sparkling rose, which may turn into a bottle. Yum :)

Boozle80 · 12/09/2014 19:25

Brilliant! And I can hear him having a shave! I should put doubts in his mind more often!

sarahlou20 · 12/09/2014 19:26

Longest - Thank you. I may flout the rules of the thread and POAS tomorrow morning...Is that allowed from time to time??
I hope, as Sunbathing suggested, that you've tested a little early and that you get a BFP soon :-O

Sunbathing - That's so bad about the NHS letter. I would definitely write a note of complaint to them as it's just not acceptable and causes such distress. I'm really glad that you're feeling a little stronger emotionally though. As you rightly pointed out, all of this TTC business is such a rollercoaster after a MC. We may not think so at times, but each and every one of us on here is so brave.

Metalhead · 12/09/2014 19:30

Thanks sunbathing. Had a bit of a meltdown this afternoon but feeling a bit better now, wine is helping... I'm envious of your sparkling rose treacle I love a bit of fizz!

Boozle80 · 12/09/2014 19:31

Sarahlou I can guarantee rules are there to be broken Wink I'll be thinking positive two lined thoughts for you.
Dulcet that's super shit. NHS are great like that, definitely mention it if you can face it.
