KeeperOfTheZoo · 03/07/2014 12:30

Congrats Justpick! Grin Thanks.

I came on here to say thank you for the post about us over-35s not giving up hope are here you are, living proof!

Let's hope the baby dust gets blown the way of the rest of us now...!

ChristinaYang · 03/07/2014 14:12

Hi everyone,

I'm on cycle 5 TTC #2. My wee one is 12 months. When he was 12 weeks I got my first AF since his birth and wasn't very careful and found out I was pregnant but sadly I MC at 10 weeks. So I had a few months break and started to try again.

It's very hard to relax, I concieved my son on cycle 5 so hoping I do this time too Grin.

I'm using CBFM so know when i'm ovulating - which is making me worry more as we're defo DTD at the right time and still nothing! Good luck everyone. Im due to Ov after the weekend

Bobs76 · 03/07/2014 15:27

Congratulations Justpick :-)

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 03/07/2014 16:47

Yeay justpick Flowers

Feet up for you tonight Smile

smogsville · 03/07/2014 17:56

Justpick that's brilliant well done. Now lie still for the next few weeks Grin

Am day 22. No idea re temps or ov. Blood tests showed I could have ovved but might not have as progesterone levels not quite as high as they'd like.

I too wish I hadn't gone back on combined pill after stopping bfing DD at 10.5 months. Not sure why I swapped back from minipill - something to do with wanting to regulate periods were i expect. But of course I never looked into fact that combined pill works by suppressing ov at the time and I think that's what's happened now.

Argh. Like most here I am a VIP - very impatient person. Yet another hooray expecting second child announcement on fb today. I'm ashamed to say I didn't really feel any pleasure for my friend initially, just rage!

ladyflower23 · 03/07/2014 18:18

Yay massive congrats justpick how exciting to hear of the elusive bfp!!

Justpickagoddamnname · 03/07/2014 18:22

Thanks all.

Baby dust for everyone!

RozTheSchnoz · 03/07/2014 18:36

Congratulations Justpick!
AF is now 9 days overdue Hmm Last tested on Monday...should I try again?!

Bobs76 · 03/07/2014 18:36

Can really relate to that smogsville it's hard to feel happy for others when your so desperate yourself! I've been trying to keep off FB for that reason - silly I know!

slightlyconfused85 · 03/07/2014 19:05

congratulations Justpick!!

BouncyBabe98 · 03/07/2014 19:57

Congratulations Justpick! I am now on day 36 of my cycle... no period but another BFN today. I am going to give it a week and then I think I will go to the DR - I have been reading that some people get BFNs even at this stage but I think I am clutching at straws to be honest. Good luck to everyone else and keep going we will get there one day :)

fishfingerSarnies · 03/07/2014 20:08

Congratulations just pick!

Who's next? C'mon girls let's all get BFP soon!

Today my symptom spotting included feeling sick after having a cup of tea and having a craving for raw courgette... Pretty sure I must be preggers right??

RozTheSchnoz · 03/07/2014 20:36

Aw Bouncy - we're in the same position. It's hard- in a way it'd be easier to deal with AF than desperately hoping that the lack of AF means something despite the BFNs Sad

BouncyBabe98 · 03/07/2014 20:39

Roz def worth trying again. For my first DC I tested negative around the time my period was due (sorry can't be precise wish I had made note now!) and got a BFN. Thought something was up (had weird feeling nipples) and then got a BFP about 4/5 days later...not happened for me this time (I am currently 36 days on my cycle and still getting negatives) but maybe will be your time, good luck x

BouncyBabe98 · 03/07/2014 20:41

Roz I just saw your post after I had posted... we are indeed it's a crap boat but I am glad I am not alone in it

pinpan · 03/07/2014 20:42

Hooray Justpick!

fishfinger, that's a dead cert. Wink I had an epic bacon sandwich craving the other day. I was only about 2 dpo though, so pretty sure it couldn't have been anything seriously hormonal!

DD kept me up half the night. Does anyone else worry about never sleeping again if there's two of them to wake you up? Hmm

smogsville · 03/07/2014 20:42

Bobs the funny thing is when someone announces a BFP on here I am thrilled! As if you're somehow 'allowed' to get one on here, but not in real life.

BouncyBabe98 · 03/07/2014 20:44

I'm also starting to worry there is something wrong with my periods. I have only had one since my DC was born in August last year so I have no idea if 36 days is normal for me or not now?! Has anyone else had changes in periods since their first born?

I was on the pill for about 10 years prior to trying for my DS and used to have regular bleeds between packets AND got pregnant first cycle with DS so I have absolutely no frigging idea what is normal for me its so frustrating... I JUST WANT TO KNOW! grrrr mother nature

weeblueberry · 03/07/2014 21:39

Congrats justpick!!! :D

Bobs76 · 03/07/2014 22:55

Yeh it's 'allowed' on here smogsville because we are all in same boat and supporting each other. I think it gives us hope as well.

fififolle · 04/07/2014 07:37

Can I join this thread? I'm 36, will be 37 in October. We have a gorgeous DS aged 4 who has requested a baby sister! I'm one of 2 and have always wanted 2 children. DH is an only child and took a little more persuasion hence the age gap. I took my Mirena out at the end of May and we've had one unsuccessful cycle. I'm not sure if it really counts as I wasn't sure about timings etc post Mirena. I fell pg v easily last time ans, just the same as all of the other posters, am starting to worry and keep noticing that everyone else is pg.

pinpan · 04/07/2014 08:46

Bouncy, mine used to be 28 days ish pre DD (never super regular though, and all over the place before I went on the pill in my early 20s). They came back when she was 10 months old at 28 days on the dot but crazy heavy compared to before. Then the very month we decided to start TTC, I dropped to a 23-25 day cycle. Hmm It does let me get more cycles in, I suppose.

Hello fififolle!

Blondie276 · 04/07/2014 10:00

Hi all,
Can I mark my place? My DD is 6 months as we are TTC#2. On cycle 3 now with nothing and like others, am unreasonably starting to feel inpatient and like it's never going to happen.
Am OPK, temping and started acupuncture this week so hoping that will all help. Wasn't convinced I was even OV as only had 4 periods since having DD but we shall see. On CD 10- sending lots of positive vibes out to you all!

Blondie276 · 04/07/2014 10:58

Bouncing - just read your post. I had my DD in dec. I BF for 2 months and the. Got my first period end march. They haven't been right since returning but GP said it just takes time for them to settle. My have been regular but I don't think I've been OV as I've not had EWCM etc , which I used to have no problems with! ( I fell first time with DD)
I was told just to be patient which is far easier said than done but what I'm saying is I think it's normal. They just need time to settle. ( which I have found seriously annoying especially when TTC!)
