Hi all , so a little backgroud for us .. were married and already have a little one who is 20mths and we are ready for number two !
this is cycle number 3 for us and already starting to get impatient ... hoping theres a couple of you lovley ladies going through this journey also !!

Have been lurking for a while; also getting fed up of this TTC business. It was so much easier with DS! Now he's here, wearing us out but we're still trying to DTD... But at the right time?! Thought cycle had settled down after coming off pill but it seems to be all over the place. Need to start testing for ovulation and- more importantly - think more positively!!

Period due on Tuesday - waiting to poas!! My usual impatience got me to take a cheeky test on Friday (4 days before period) and was BFN. Keeping positive but so hard when best friend just had little girl and 2 family members pregnant and due soon.

8 days overdue here but AF v unpredictable. Have been away on hols in Wales so waiting til the morning after I get back to poas. Really trying not to get hopes up...

I know what you mean Life I have a family member due next month & two friends both pg with their second.

I got my peak fertility on my OPK this morning but don't know if OH & me will DTD! I'm sat here worrying & feeling like crying because I don't know if we will. I've told him its the right time & I'm really trying not to let him feel pressured as he's already said he feels pressured. I've tried twice this week to DTD on High Fertility but he didnt want to he has very low sex drive & prob doesn't help we have to DTD at certain time. Just been looking at different things on my Fertility App & its given me a due date if i did conceive this month, wish i hadn't looked now! Sorry I just had to have a moan as I've no one I can talk to about this.

BobsyBoo I know how feel - my husband sometimes feels a bit strange having to DTD on demand but I always remind him that if we want a baby we need to get at it during my ovulation window whether he is in the mood or not. That's said there is no reason why you should not kick back and have fun TTC - see what might get him in the mood and show him that his feelings are important.

At the end of the day the bottom line is if he wants a kid he needs to have sex on command/demand. The phrase that always works with my DH is "If I told your male friends that you are tired of so much sex they'd think you are MAD". Always remind him - once you have conceived the fun in the bedroom might be on hold for sometime so tell him to make the most of it now!!

Little update from me - AF due to arrive tomorrow but so far I have no symptoms but not keeping my hopes up. I was going to take a test this morning but I chickened out - will take a HPT tomorrow but what if it's BFN again?!?! I cannot face another disappointment plus we have DTD in the correct window and on the correct days .

I've said that to him Life but I've been told that I'm obsessed with getting pg & it's all I can think about! We are on our 13th cycle so no wonder I'm a bit impatient. He said he was tired last night & that was the big hint but we did manage to DTD & I've somehow got to get him to DTD tonight as well. The DTD has got worse as the months have gone on. I've dug out a sexy nightie for tonight!!

Good luck hope AF doesn't arrive, good there's no symptoms but I know what you mean about not wanting to get your hopes up. I never POAS I just wait for AF never been late enough for me to feel the need & especially since I've been doing the OPK's I know the exact day she'll arrive!

Period due today - decided to poas and as I expected it was a BFN CanYouSeeALine? For a moment I actually thought I could see a very faint line but have until then concluded that it's wishful thinking.

Preparing for AF to make her grand entrance anytime now - I feel really down .

Sorry you're feeling down Life I know how you feel I get this every time AF arrives. I never POAS as I can't bring myself to do it & since I've been doing the OPK's I now know the exact day AF will arrive.

How long have you been TTC for?

It's such a difficult time isn't it?
AF is 10days overdue for me. Did a test this morning and got a BFN but it was a crappy cheap test and not much of a wee (sorry if TMI) so clinging on to hope that there wasn't enough to detect HCG?! Wish I hadn't bothered really. Will just have to wait it out now

Bobsy this is cycle 3 but we were supposed to start last year but due to family we had to postpone.

Roz I too tested with a cheap internet test - DH wants me to retake test tomorrow (1 day overdue) using a clearblue or FRER. Usually I'm spot on with my cycles and AF is still to show her face.

Hi all. Mind if I gate crash?

We are ttc no 2. DS is 21 months. We are only on our first cycle and trying to be relaxed about it all! (Pah!) Currently 1/2 dpo.

With DS I temp charted and managed to get pg on the second month. This month I just used opks and timed dtd when I had ewcm. Problem is my dh, like yours Bobsy has a low sex drive and we only dtd once, 3/4 days before ov so not hopeful this month.

We had a chat last night and I told him that we need to be putting in a bit more effort esp around fertile times. We will see what happens next month, I may start charting too if this month is unsuccessful.

I'm glad I'm not the only one DrinaAdams it makes TTC really difficult and I'm getting to the stage where I don't want to DTD, this cycle has been the worst so far, we're on the 19th! We did DTD days before I ovulated due to the OPK with hormone indicator saying I was fertile before I was (I would not recommend the one with dual hormone indicator).

Finally got my Peak on Sunday morning and we managed DTD Sunday night and last night although last night very nearly didn't happen. I'm actually relieved now of not having to worry if we will end up DTD.

I wish I could talk to my OH but we can't seem to have a sensible conversation about it. Now I'm trying not to mention it as he thinks I'm obsessed, he just doesn't realise how it feels to get AF every month when I really want a baby. He does really want another baby too but he doesn't feel the same disappointment as I do and doesn't have the hormones to go with it!

It took me a loooooong time to finally broach the subject with dh and I'm still not sure he has grasped the need for increasing the frequency of dtd. We will see next month.

I remember from last time when ov date was approaching that I would get so anxious as couldn't guarantee whether he would be up for it. We were lucky it only took 2 cycles.
He has said that he doesn't want the same level of anxiety this time but doesn't seem to understand that he is the cause! If we just dtd more often I would relax more as I wouldn't worry that I had missed the window!

It sounds like you managed to dtd enough this month bobsy so fingers crossed that this is your month.

No my OH hasn't grasped it either.

With our DD we hadn't been together very long so we did DTD more often and we conceived without trying - we just weren't always careful.

I've been so anxious every month about whether he'd be up for it and then when it gets towards bedtime and he starts saying he's tired!! Exactly I would be able to relax much more if we could regularly DTD without there being an issue and I probably wouldn't have had to feel the need to tell him when right time is and that we have to do it then!

Yes we did, although I was extremely close to giving up on him last night but we got there in the end.

So AF now 1 day overdue - 2 BFNs (one yesterday and one today) and no symptom at all normally I would start spotting round about 24 hours ago!!!!

What is going on?!?!

Wow. Just woke up desperate for a wee so thought I'd test while I was there (on a ClearBlue) and... It says 1-2 weeks pregnant! Wasn't expecting that. Which sounds bizarre but after Tuesday's BFN... Will test again later this morning to be sure. MyDays app says AF is 12 days overdue but cycle has been all over the place since coming off mini-pill...

Oh -just tested again - not a digital one but still ClearBlue and it says not pregnant. Now what?

I would trust the digi - you can't get a false positive but you can get a false negative if your HCGs aren't high enough! Time to call doc and beg for blood test xx

I'm still waiting for either AF or BFP this month. Today is cd32 (12 dpo) I think I'm due tomorrow. I only ovulated on day 21 though. Had some very light old blood type spotting on monday and then wednesday but not today. I never get spotting before period without the proper period arriving within a few hours. So that is a bit weird.

BFN this morning on internet cheapy test. Feel like AF might be on its way, bloated and a little crampy but no other symptoms.

So impatient! I have allowed myself to get my hopes up.

cowbiscuits the spotting is a good sign could be implantation bleeding ?! Also if you've ov on CD 21 the earliest you're likely to get a bfp is CD34/5 so hang in there!!

I'm still waiting to find out too - currently on CD 34 my cycles are always 32 days long so I'm definitely late but HPT is saying BFN!! Praying for better news soon - GL everyone
