Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Brown spotting, tacky/bitty discharge is quite normal. When I was unknowingly pg with DS i had this and remember googling 'brown period' and discounting the 'you are pregnant' results - I was in true denial!

MrsBeeBeeBee · 19/05/2014 10:21

MAN DOWN. MAN DOWN! Husbands aren't allowed to get sick around ov are they? He's just going to have to get his big girl pants on.... Or off!

before I've always heard brown blood is old blood so not something to worry about xx

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 19/05/2014 10:40

Oh no Mrs B. Tell Mr B it's for medicinal purposes. :)

Thanks for reassurances. I know it's a symptom but when I saw it I freaked out. I'm unusually emotional at the moment - well, duh!

There's someone in RL whose pg and who I really don't want to 'steal the thunder' of - but we're only a couple of weeks apart. Hope she'll be glad of a pregnancy buddy, fingers crossed. I'm stressing about that too, she's abroad at the mo so I can't speak to her.

RPopz · 19/05/2014 11:13

Before I had brown CM after my bfp... google said it was leftovers from implantation bleeding. Don't worry x Thanks

Hi Before, hope you are ok. I don't think there are any internet sites which are especially helpful. They will just tell you it's one of two things. I can only go by my own experience where I had strong cramping alongside bleeding and like the others say, a little brown blood by itself doesn't indicate a problem. Can you keep yourself busy to take your mind off it?

Mrs B, my DP got sick around ov this cycle. I nearly killed him! Poor Mr Wil. Luckily we had got some action in already. Fx for a quick recovery!

Lala5 · 19/05/2014 12:36

Can you all remind me what cd you got bfp please upduffed ladies? I'm fed up and need hope x

Minion · 19/05/2014 12:49

I was exactly cd 30 when I got mine, bang on the day ertd was due.

wilhelminand · 19/05/2014 12:56

cd33. What are you on now Lala?

Lala5 · 19/05/2014 13:46

Cd33 but 15dpo and my normal luteal is 10. Confused

wilhelminand · 19/05/2014 13:49

When did you last test?

RPopz · 19/05/2014 13:49

cd29 of 30-35. Not that helpful sorry!

Yesterday morning. It's fine I just wondered - it's quite interesting. Under a lot of stress at moment so I'm probably just late

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 19/05/2014 15:37

I need some more hand holding please. TMI coming up.

I'm still bleeding, there's quite a lot, it's red now but possibly paler than usual (if that makes sense). The one saving grace (I'm hoping) is that I don't have any cramps with it. I've spoken to the local maternity unit and I've got a scan booked in for Thursday. How I'll get to then - and go to work in between - I don't really know.

I'm seeing my own GP later on today about something unrelated so I'll mention it to her, too.

I don't feel sick today, not at all. I know it's not possible to say either way for the moment but I'm so bloody scared. The lady at the maternity unit was positive about the complete absence of pain/cramps though, so I'll focus on that for the moment.

Oh [insert swearwords of choice here]!

KatoPotato · 19/05/2014 15:41

Oh gads before you must be feeling very wobbly. Thursday will seem a long way away but I've just remembered in my DS pg denial days, one night I had a mega bleed, pale like you say, but was enough for me to say 'Well at least im not pregnant'

I think it lasted from the evening to the next morning, but obviously everything was okay? I can't remember which stage of pg this was at, but I do remember it!

holding your hand and staying positive!

lil1ady · 19/05/2014 15:44

before I hope its just your body playing silly buggers and nothing serious. fx for a sticky bean Thanks

lala juat try and take your mind off it until the weekend then test again. you may have ovd later than normal. it happens even to the most regular ladies.

cbfm is useless piece of worthless crap. cd9-18 low. cd19 peak. and we had decided we'd wait for highs before I did opks/we worried about DTD. luckily I did opk last night and we got one deed in! only 3rd this month so I'm probably out given the lame sperm issue Angry

Lala5 · 19/05/2014 15:46

Fx for you before. I have a friend who thought she'd had her period but it was implantation. It was quite heavy. Can they not let you speak to doc earlier?

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 19/05/2014 15:58

Thanks, so much.

I did walk in to the surgery but the receptionist would only give me the number for the early pregnancy unit. Home now, it's not long to wait until the GP, at least. I would have insisted had I not had this appointment booked in.

Lala, I so hope the witch doesn't come for you.

Lil - I hate ovkits of any description. I'll be getting rid of the one I bought, whatever happens. I don't know what possessed me.

I feel :( Confused :(

cookielove · 19/05/2014 17:07

Before hope it all goes well. I know brown blood is usually nothing to worry about and red blood can also be fine, but i really do know how much of a worry this can be. You may not know but i had a mmc last year. (i won't go into details but i know exactly what you are going through)

lil it makes me sad everytime you say you have never seen a bfp, i've got everything cross for you that a bfp is heading your way.

RPopz · 19/05/2014 17:15

Everything crossed for you Before Thanks xx

wilhelminand · 19/05/2014 17:39

Before hand holding and toes crossed for you. It's great that they're going to give you a scan (I was just told to wait and see what happened) and I hope it was useful seeing the GP too. It is a worrying few days until you know for sure either way, totally understand how you're feeling and hope you have other half around for a bit of support. I actually found going to work helpful in occupying my mind. Thanks

Lil sorry your contraband has let you down, I hope your session last night proves fruitful!

lil1ady · 19/05/2014 17:50

thanks cookie that means more than you know.
thankswil. I'm currently stuck in a car 3hrs from home with excruciating ovulation pain. I still plan on making dh do his thing while I lie back and bite my tongue when we get home!

wilhelminand · 19/05/2014 17:52

Good Girl! You may win JSer of the month just for fighting through the pain!

Lala5 · 19/05/2014 17:55

lil you completely deserve the next bfp I feel bad for moaning Hmm . Fx for you.

before is it any better? Thinking if u xx
