Ok - I am being dramatic but have every reason to be - have realised after bit of prodding an poking that I can't find my threads to my IUD!!!

Had a bit of a bleed last weekend and heavy pains etc was weird as never happened in between periods before but just thought was one of those things!!

Well since then have had sex 4 times (sorry to be so intimate here!!) and now am terrified that I am up the DUFF!!!!

Last period started 7th of this month and finished on the 13th - what are the odds - can someone please tell me???

It would not be the biggest disaster in the world - DP and I are happy together and have spoken about children and he would love them and I yearn for a baby sometimes but now with facing the reality that it could actually happen I am terrified??

Now I don't want to go and have anew one fitted until I know if an pregnant or not but that means just waiting till my period is due and abstaining!!

Hey - I knew I shouldn't have gone to those meet ups!!

A line is a line! Congratulations!

M2T · 03/03/2004 10:15

OOOOOOOOO You could start the November thread if my calculations are correct.....

WideWebWitch · 03/03/2004 10:18

Agree, a line's a line. I found out last year on 16th March (very, very faint line, dp doubted it was even there) and baby born in Nov so yep, Nov it is! Were we the first to know? Congratulations!

Twinkie · 03/03/2004 10:22

Stop it now - it was so faint I had to stand on loo seat and put it under the light so I could see it better - I bet it was just me hallucinating - wishful thinking - oh my god!!!

Will buy a couple more to do tomorrow before come to work - is it better to do them first thing in the morning - maybe I shoudl do one tonight and see if DP can see 'the line'.

Oooohhh I am all excited

If anyone wants to get preggers the next City Slickers club is on the 18th March - roll up and by the next month you will be - god if I am that means all but Kayleigh is of the original group!!

M2T · 03/03/2004 10:32

Twinkie - I did another one later that night and got a stronger line that DH could see too. Try Boots own, they are fab. DO ANOTHER ONE NOW!!!!!

I ended up doing 8 in total coz I couldn't believe it! But sure enough AF didn't arrive and here I am...... YOU ARE PREGNANT.

Quackers · 03/03/2004 10:40

Wayhay!!!!!!!! Well done, a line is a line!!! It will be faint so early. I had a faint one too about 3 days before AF and I'm now like the side of a house!!!!!! Happy pgcy!!!!!!

madgirl · 03/03/2004 10:47

smellymelly · 03/03/2004 11:17

Well Done Twinkie!!!!!!!!

A faint line is a line, POSITIVE !!!!
I always tested days b4 my AF is due, (2kids now).

A stronger line will show 1st thing tomorrow morning, and will get stronger every day.

1st wee is better!!!!!

dinosaur · 03/03/2004 11:28

Twinkie..........

WSM · 03/03/2004 11:30

Gosh ! Hopefiul congrats to you Twinkie.

Re the name thing. DH and I weren't married when DD was born and so we had diff surnames (obv). Was told that DD would HAVE to have my surname written on her band regardless of whether she would be registered with that name (she was reg with DH's surname). It is to make it easier to identify which baby belongs to which mother. Whether that is just our local hospital or Trust policy and not a national thing, I don't know.

But you will both have to take baby to be registered if you want him/her to have DP's surmane as you are not married (we had to do the same and got married 10 days before her 1st birthday.)

motherinferior · 03/03/2004 11:33

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

How lovely. Lucky you. A baby!

kiwisbird · 03/03/2004 11:33

Soo jealous want another baby so badly but want to get married in November too!!

Yes I used a digital one and was so great to see 'pregnant' in the screen!!! You get 3 so of course I had to use all 3 and see those words again again!

Twinkie · 03/03/2004 12:02

Please don't get too excited - I am still scared that I imagined it - although just did another one and the line seemed better - was more pinky at one end and a sort fo shadow at the other - DP will insist on a stewards when I tell him - I can't believe it - don't want to get too excited though - now you will all be dissappointed if I'm not .

If any of you are trying come to our City Slicker meet up (Out of practice and Kayleigh watch out) everytime we see each other again at least one of us is up the duff - 2 portions of cheesecake for me next time!!

WIll buy a couple of first response and a couple of boots and clear blue at lunchtime - god I will be broke before long!!

Twinkie - even if you are not (fat chance of that though!!)there is alwasy next month - now the idea is sown......

SpringChicken · 03/03/2004 12:05

OMG Why did i have to be in a meeting this morning of all mornings

I knew it Twinkie - as everyone else has said, a line is a line - you cannot get a false positive

Have you told DP? What are his thoughts

What a nerd, i just cannot stop grinning

prufrock · 03/03/2004 12:15

Twinkie how wonderful. You see- some things are meant to be. And wanting to have sex four times in one weekend over your most fertile period was simply your subconcious telling you you needed to be pregnant

Helsbels · 03/03/2004 12:17

Best remember that weekend now, there won't be many in the near future where you have time or energy for 4 goes
