Hi

Just thought as there was a thread for the older mums (there words not mine)Smile
that i would start one for the younger ones.

Think AF is on her way (fingers crossed) as i normally have 48-70 cycles this will be my first one at 34/35 days - yippee.

It probably won't happen now, anyway feel free to write away.

TTC 11 month - waiting for appoinment at fertlity clinic.

Hi Nicki

I cancelled it as DP has said we should wait and see how we get on at nhs first.

Hopefully they should send an appoinment through in the next few weeks, so i am going to try and forget about it and think about my holiday for now.

No Bding last night for me, think we have done poor this month so not expecting to do a test in a few weeks. don't think my body has decided to work properly afterall.

I had my DS when I had just turned 25 and am expecting a little girl in November. I am now 27.

When my DS was born I had been in a stable, loving relationship for more than 8 years and married for 7 years. We have our own nice house and reasonably good jobs. I now work part time and yes we have had to make sacrifices but I think you have to regardless of age. We don't run a car or take as many holidays as we used too but we are extremely happy.

There dosn't seem to be many women our ages having children. When I was in hospital after having DS, I either felt really old against all the teenage mums or really young against those in their late thirties!

Good luck to all of you TTC.

spinamum · 05/07/2006 13:56

Sort of hijack.

i'm not TTC at moment, but was for ages!!!!!! I'm 15 wks into 2nd preg. I was pg with first at 26(had DS at 27) and I'm (whisper it) 30 now. I felt really young compared to the other mums at my hospital "lecture " on scans and one of the other mums said to me it didn't matter if my baby didn't turn out viable beacuse i was young enough to try again.
Anyway as it turned out, my local mummy friends are all my age or a bit older.(mummy's age stops mattering once you have the kids. Then you're the mumof a ...month or....year old!)

Good luck to you all. Enjoy mummihood!

spinamum · 05/07/2006 13:58

Sorry i felt young during the first pg. Now three yrs of sleep depravation have aged me!!!

bubblez · 05/07/2006 14:08

lol @ spinamum - how dya find having two LO's? Need as many good experiences as pos so as to convert DP to having a 2nd...

sorry for hijack

ahhh congrats pinkmagic1..!

lol @ Nicki and the effort to BD, I understand, sometimes it's an effort for me and were not even trying yet.. AF will end soon and then DP will have to decide... Hopefully I will be joining you girls soon on the Conception:July thread...

spinamum · 05/07/2006 14:46

haven't got lo2 yet. due on xmas day! Compared to my friends, i've waited ages(my bodies choice not mine!) between kids. all theirs have just turned one in the last few mnths(older ones turning three as we speak!)They've all had their ups and downs but are loving it now. I think the first few months were tough.Newborns and 21mth olds.

They all got pg really easily. i had to wait. Hope it happens for you all soon!! {big cheesey hug emoticon}

Natty1806 · 05/07/2006 15:10

Due on Christmas day - how exciting.

Xavielli · 05/07/2006 16:03

Hey Bubblez!

I have two and they are great together and I love having two.. they are only 15months apart tho so I don't know how much of a difference that makes as I think Xavi is still too young for jealousy and so forth. He just thinks is facinating!

I think as long as DC on is a good kid and sleeping thru etc then a newborn is a breeze compared to toddler.. It's wonderful.. I put her down and she stays there!! lol

Nicki10 · 05/07/2006 16:23

Wow what a fantastic Christmas Present!

bubblez · 05/07/2006 16:30

Thanx Xavielli, dd is a good child sleeps through etc loves babies but daren't touch RL ones unless I give her the go ahead. I remember now seeing your two LO's on the profiles thread, gorgeous children.

Spinamum - congrats on your xmas baby my dd was born two weeks before xmas. Makes it extra special.

Xavielli · 05/07/2006 17:11

Yeah, Christmas babies are yummy... Xavi is december 29th... best Christmas pressy I ever got! Mind you... I got an equally good easter pressy this year too

Nicki10 · 05/07/2006 17:42

I remember thinking when i was really young and at school that I would make sure that I would have a baby in September or October because it was always cool to be the oldest in your year because you could do everything first!.

How young a naive we were now I would be greatful to have a baby at any time of the year!.

ScoobyDooooo · 05/07/2006 18:05

I would just like to say goodluck to you all who are TTC

Also i dont think you can choocse an exact time when you think it is right to have children, everyone is different.

I always wanted kids when i was v- young but always belioeved i would wait until i just "new" the time was right.

I met dp & i "new" i would be with him forever i was totally in love after 3 months of being with him i accidentally fell pregnant, i did not worry though, i was 19 at the time, i then went on to have my ds who is now 3.10 & he was the best thing that ever happened, yes my life is totally different, yes you have to sacrifice alot to have kids, yes its hard tiring & draining, BUT by far it is the most fantastic & rewarding thing, i love being a mum & i treasure every second of it.

I am now 24 & also have a dd who is now 6 months old 7 have now been with my dp for nearly 5 years, i will never look back, if you think the time is right for you & your partner then go for it, dont wait time is precious when TTC.

Goodluck & i will be looking out for your BFP's

Nicki10 · 06/07/2006 16:46

Have you booked your holiday yet Natty?

Natty1806 · 06/07/2006 18:48

No. have booked the time off work but have agreed with DP that we will do a last minute deal.

Hello, I'll jump on here too though I may be pushing it as I'm 32, Natty, you can kick me off if I'm too old for this thread but I am a first timer!

Re chat rooms being addictive, there is not quite so much going on on this one as there was on my last addiction (Confetti). I work alone and like the ability to chat a bit between tasks so I'll be on here alot! so please talk to me!

Natty1806 · 07/07/2006 13:10

No your not too old.

I keep popping on to see what is happening, bad really as i should just get on with my work and stop thinking about all of you lot and whos bding today who's testing and who's AF's turned up.

I sound like a sad person with no real life, but i promise you i do it is just so addictive when i am work, not as bad when i am at home.

How long you been trying Mrs??

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 07/07/2006 13:32

Thanks Natty I know, I am the same, don't use the net at all at home!

Only got married last month and took my last pill exactly 3 weeks ago. We've agreed to actively "try" from Christmas but I am so hoping I fall before then, DH is just getting his head round the idea of actually wanting to get pregnant after all those years of trying not to. I know he would be as delighted as me if we just fell without being aware of trying!

I was on the pill for 18 years though so I know it may take a while to get my body used to the idea. Also, I have told both sets of parents that we are not going to try at all until next year so they are not harrassing us at the moment but will be again after Xmas!! the stress!

What is your story Natty?

Natty1806 · 07/07/2006 13:54

Congrats on getting hitched, my OH is not interested in getting married we have been together 9 years this year so dob't suppose it would make much of a difference but it would be nice.

Anyway back to ttc, i came off the pill last July and had irregular periods ranging from 46 -70 days, went to Gp at end of Feb 06 he said that as my periods were over 42 days he thought i was not ovulating, he got me to have a few blood tests comparing hormone levels etc, progestrone level was 1 so confirmed i do not appear to ovulate next stage DP was tested and he was fine (even though he is bad and smoke and drinks more than me) that was roungly end of March. GP then wrote to fertility clinic as would like me to have clomid and he is not allowed to prescribe it anymore, got letter from clinic asking load of questions in May 06 then yesterday i finally recieved my appointment for the 31st July.

Last cycle was 35 days so was hoping that i would start to ovulate but doesn't look like i have according to my chart. Also started having acupunture in June and have had 5 sessions in total, to try and help me regulate and also to de stress me a bit.

...sorry i have gone on.

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 07/07/2006 14:33

Goodness me, you have already been through so much, fingers crossed that it does not take much longer for you, you must be delighted that the appointment is not too far away.

Xavielli · 07/07/2006 14:34

Its good that you've got your appointment Natty!

I feel like a right pleb being on this thread as I have 2 beautiful babies and am overjoyed that AF has arrived (been waiting for her to show up for the 12 weeks that Elli has been here, was a bit worried as I do want more children) so I can get the coil fitted and not have anymore kids for 5 years, but it is the only thread I can find for young'ens!

Bubblez - I hope you can pursuade DP to have another one! It is lovely to see 2 children interact with each other!

You can all tell me to bugger off if you don't want me here!

Natty1806 · 07/07/2006 15:02

Thanks Mrs McJnr, not been through as much as others on this web site but it does take it toll. Yeah very please appoinment has arrived just hope they don't hang about, you see i am 24 and have a feeling that they will use the usual 'at least you have time on your side' which is true but to be honest isn't much help when you have been broody for ages and want to get pregnant now!

Of course you can stick around Xavielli, your very lucky to have two lovely children and i will prob need you to moan to when i am pregnant.

See positive speaking already, i will be pregnant, i will be pregnant - do you think if i keep saying it, it will come true

OP posts:
Xavielli · 07/07/2006 15:34

It's already true... You will be pregnant!

Natty1806 · 07/07/2006 15:43

Thanks

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 07/07/2006 15:51

I'll second that Natty, you will be soon as will we all hopefully (apart from those who don't want to be of course!) and we can all moan and groan together and will probably often forget how much we wanted to be pregnant in the first place.
