Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

We're away for the weekend with some friends and one of them has young dc and is bringing them, should be fun, but will probably make me a bit depressed! Still, should distract me from twotting.

Hang in there, ; it does sound like a complicated situation. You obviously love your mom and want what's best for her. It took me a long time to learn that sometimes our parents need to sort things on their own. Mine have gone through waves of crap over the years, mostly financial, and I lend whatever support I can but always made myself upset because I can't actually FIX all of their problems. Ultimately it's on them to figure things out. That's been hard for me to accept, because we want nothing but the best for our loved ones. Squeeze. Share anything, any time.

I'm eagerly awaiting the pee-a-thon that will soon take place! BFPs all around would just be awesome. Over here, the red tide of dooooooooom is due on tomorrow. I am fairly certain the witch will arrive on schedule. Spotting a little today. And no breadstick pains. On the upside, as soon as I do start this next cycle the infertility workup really gets underway. I feel really hopeful that the IUI will be the ticket. And then we'll JS just for fun .

what do you all think about saving first wee of the day to test it in the evening?

my kids go back to school on the 4th so I don't want to do it in the morning.
I'd rather just pee in a cup (with a lid) and keep it for dipping the pg test in when DH gets home.
I mean I don't think the hCG will evaporate, do you?

zing I doubt any woman anywhere has ever had the patience to find out if it evaporates! I don't see why not if you lid it tho. baby bottle again maybe??

I suggested 3rd Sept - I think that suits some others (sorry, can't remember who said what & can't scroll back on phone)

zing I could swear I read somewhere that the potency of hCG does suffer the longer the pee sits out. But who knows if that's true. fifi's explanation seems to make better sense, logically!

thanks zing every month I say I'm going to poas early but I rarely do...I don't like dashing the possibility. it would just be nice to get a bfp on my anniversary! maybe I will see how the symptom spotting goes!

Thanks Zing! I'm getting ov discomfort (it's never quite pain for me) and line is getting darker on contraband so think ov is imminent. I keep thinking 'it only takes one' to myself in the hope that it might one day happen.
