Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Happy shagging shaggers!

Omg, I LOVE cocopops, even the sainos/tesco own brand ones are lush. I buy them as a treat and DH tells me off then I see him tucking into them. Grin

It's DHs birthday this week, and ertd is still here so we are both tucking into the wine a fair bit, feel a bit hungover this morning! Ooops.

I postponed the foof check appointment, bottled out, I couldn't face someone prodding about down there with ertd in attendance even though they said it was fine.

So can your literal phase change? Or does it always stay the same? In the last few cycles I've worked mine out to be 10 days, then 14 days, then 18 days, so either I'm a freak yes or I can't count also a possiblity.

Morning.
So off. Trot to wok las night ands I'm standing at the door smiling through gritted teeth I come over al nauseous and proceed to revisit everything id had to eat for the previous 12 hours. Which is weird as I didn't feel unwell just odd. But it was very hot on the aircraft on the ground..
Still no PMS and If I'm on a average of a30 day cycle, due today or im late...
Stil have a flight to do tonight so who knows....

Alohomora · 31/07/2013 09:13

minion I hope you're feeling better, trundling up and down an airplane isle in this heat while feeling sick is in at least my fifth circle of hell.

Having brekkie outside work in the car, I feel really queasy, too, weird backaches and I might have to entertain a dozen toddlers at work in an hour, don't feel really up for it.

Symptom spotting is crap, you keep in looking for twinges and if you don't get a bfp all you've done is you've made yourself miserable.

PrincessKitKat · 31/07/2013 09:18

Good morning viroids. Well I couldn't wait til Friday to POAS...
And I got my BFP Smile it's a bit faint (12dpo), but it's definitely there.

Crikey. But what do i do now?
Do I tell DH now or wait til he gets home? Can I tell my 5-weeks pregnant friend or should i tell DH first? I'm bursting! What would you do?

I need a drink (But will not have one).

Minion · 31/07/2013 09:24

kitkat
Congratulations, our first BFP on the new Fred!
So go on, mandatory requirements are how'd you feel? What symptoms etc?
Yay, Wonderful news x

DulcetMoans · 31/07/2013 09:28

Yay! A BFP! Congrats kitkat.

I did test this morning and BFN but I think that was enough to tempt the witch out. Think I'm out viroids. Again. Sigh. But we tried so hard!

Alohomora · 31/07/2013 09:29

kitkat that's fantastic, congratulations!

I'd send my OH a loving ema which artfully expresses my upduffedness via cat makros, but we're a special case. Grin

PrincessKitKat · 31/07/2013 09:39

Ar, thanks ladies.
I confess, I used a cheaply OPK and started shagging as soon as a pale line appeared.
I had these symptoms:

  • three days after icing I had weird pink CM which I'd never had before
  • had mild cramps 7 days after icing
  • noticeable boob pain also started about 7 days and just continued Hmm

And that was it - I was fairly convinced I wasn't upduffed.

Everything crossed now. And everything crossed for all the lovely JSers on here too - I want us all to have a month of BFPs Thanks

EssieSaysRelax · 31/07/2013 09:51

Yay KitKat! Well done! first upduffer on the new fred too. Congrats. Let us know how you decide to tell DH! xx

PrincessKitKat · 31/07/2013 10:24

ZingWidge · 31/07/2013 10:27

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 31/07/2013 10:39

kitkat congrats! Woohoo!

essie nice to see you all too, I am keeping fine, hating the heatwave, but otherwise okay. Am def going to lurk on this Fred, I think it's another lucky one... fxfxfxfxfxfx for you all.

Alohomora · 31/07/2013 11:48

Colleague just tried to bully me into doing a test because I said I'm feeling queasy, nosy people are nosy! Think I'll have a go in the weekend despite being quite sure nothing happened this month.

Can someone turn this heat off?

Alohomora · 31/07/2013 12:02

I am really sorry, I am incapable of typing on on this phone when rushing! Blush

pizzaqueen · 31/07/2013 12:32

Congratulations kitkat Flowers

Minion · 31/07/2013 15:32

Pssht.
Up in the words of Duncan Bannatyne 'I'm out'
It's here and she's making herself known. Really thought this month something was different. Guess not, just a different set of PMS symptoms. when will my body just settle the frick down?

EssieSaysRelax · 31/07/2013 16:00

oh minion, I'm sorry. Come to the party, we have a wave machine in the pity pool now.

Congrats kitkat 1st one of the thread! Fx it's the start of another lucky thread!

Everyone - Do people in RL know you are ttc?

We decided to keep it to ourselves but am finding it increasingly difficult to fend of the nosy rosies! What do you say to all the questions? When are you going to have a baby? What are you waiting for? I'm bloody trying

One of my friends announced she was 3 months pregnant today, I felt a bit gutted jealous (she didn't think it would happen so quick etc) but have given myself a kick up the arse coz I know I should be happy for her!

EssieSaysRelax · 31/07/2013 16:24

Hi great, only one of my friends knows, and only because she is ttc#2 and struggling (got up duff with no1 on her honeymoon!). I can't cope with anyone else knowing and DH is even less likely to want to discuss it than me. I get annoyed with want to punch the nosey people and I just tell them we're not ready and too busy enjoying ourselves because having kids looks like hard work. That usually shuts them up! I do find it hard though and one day I will probably snap at someone and tell them to fook off. I don't think you are alone in getting Envy at friends upduff announcements.

OP posts:
fifi669 · 31/07/2013 16:26

I am the worst secret keeper in the world (of my own anyway), so everyone knew we were going to TTC before we even started! My sisters tend to ask alot if i'm upduffed yet but everyone else doesn't mention it... well not much.

My bestie is pregnant, she TTC for a year with her first and had a tough time with all our group getting pregnant around her so i'm genuinely happy she was caught so quick this time.

Essie Can you save me a spot in the pity pool? She's not here yet...but i can feel the witch breathing down my neck :-( I'll bring biscuits....

EssieSaysRelax · 31/07/2013 16:45

Can you bring rich tea so we can sandwich them together with butter? Nom nom nom.

It's good to hear a friend who struggled to get up duff first time round got there quickly second time.

OP posts:
pizzaqueen · 31/07/2013 16:53

we didn't want to tell anyone we were ttc but when I had miscarriage last month I had to tell work as I had some complications and family and close friends knew I was pg so now it feels like the whole world know s we're trying. Hmm I don't like tgem knowing it feels like even more pressure to get upduffed.

on another ttc note - what does ovulation pain feel like? and can you ovulate without ewcm? I had one sharp twinge on one side tonight as I was getting on the train. Is ov pain more constant?

Alohomora · 31/07/2013 17:59

I've told people we are planning a family at some point but that there is absolutely no rush. Ever since we got married in February I've had my nosy colleagues all over me every time I am feeling sick. I love them dearly but sheesh!

lil1ady · 31/07/2013 18:08

I told three close friends as I originally stopped drinking completely when we started TTC that didn't last long and I knew they'd assume I was upduffed. I usually say I'm too busy enjoying having money and going on holidays to have kids yet. my mum is the worst and I know she'd only be more of a nightmare IG she knew we were TTC.

on another note when I got in the car tonight, dh had his phone connected to play his music through the car and whatever song was playing had some tag that put "t.t.c." on the dash display. I can't escape!
