Hi - Can I join you?
Trying to conceive #2 - check
Going nuts - oh yes oh yes oh man...
We're on cycle 8, about 5 days dpo, af due 25/26th. No real symptoms to speak of so far apart from a largeish temp dip this morning, sore right boob (what with me prodding it every 10 mins) and I'm snacking for England this morning...
I'm not testing until 24th, as can't bear the BFN anymore, but I sooooo want this to be our month. My EDD would be 3 weeks after DSs 4th birthday.
Waves and congrats to all BFPs!

fedupofrainydays · 16/08/2013 11:10

Hi car welcome to the mad house!! I'm 5 dpo too and af due 25th!

KPidgeon · 16/08/2013 11:20

Thanks rice and fedup good to know I'm not the only one needing a coffee everyday! I've had one this morning- I proper crave it at breakfast and might have one more now as my DS has gone for a blissful early nap after I walked him all round a nearby village in the rain (we had a nice time though!) . I have strong filter coffee so think I will try to limit it to two.....

Aw fedup AF buddies!! We can commiserate with each other on here on the 25th August then. keep I think you can be our buddy too!

How is your DS fedup?

Hope you all get on okay today in the rain.. anyone got exciting weekends ahead?

KeepTheCarRunning · 16/08/2013 11:29

Thank you fed Thanks
Yay af buddies!
I tried to cut out coffee but after 3 days DH shoved a mug in my hand. Apparently I'm somewhat unreasonable without the daily cup or 5 of coffee!

fedupofrainydays · 16/08/2013 13:25

Well I hope it's bfp buddies!!

I've had two coffees today. That's my max. Much more and I go a bit weird anyways!

Ds is still pretty poorly. He hates swallowing cos it hurts so trying to get liquid and food in him is tough. Always a worry. I know he can do without food for a bit, it's the liquid that worries me.

onelittlepiglet · 16/08/2013 14:02

Fedup - have you tried giving him ice cubes? My dd loves these when ill (and most of the time). They can help reduce swelling on a sore throat too and you know he is getting some fluids.

I'm about to go and get a coffee so no I don't stop either!

Well I'm 12 dpo, AF due on Sunday. Feeling a bit down and teary so completely normal pre AF symptoms. Do have a weird taste in my mouth though...could be I need to clean my teeth!

Just been invited to sil's baby shower complete with gift registry with lots and lots of stuff. Ugh! When did this become normal? I find it really grabby. Am I a miserable old cow?!

fedupofrainydays · 16/08/2013 14:04

Gift register?! Really?????

KeepTheCarRunning · 16/08/2013 14:51

one gift registry? Oh my... That seems silly and v v grabby. Thinking about it, SIL and BIL had a four page gift list for DNephews christening. V expensive clothes and designer items. It seemed rather excessive IMO.

fed have you tried ice lollies or soft ice cream/yoghurt for ds? Cold camomille tea can also soothe perhaps. Hope he's better soon!

GandTnow · 16/08/2013 14:57

Gift registry? Gift list for Christening? What's going on?

fedupofrainydays · 16/08/2013 15:29

You guys are great! Forgot I had some mini Fabs in the freezer and he's on his second!! Only thing I've managed to get past his lips all day!

KPidgeon · 16/08/2013 18:09

Oh yes lollies.. glad he had some of them.

My tummy feels so period-y and odd. There is definitely something going on down there. Either it's a BFP (please please please) or my body is STILL not back to normal after mc. Feels like my period is coming and it's not due for another 10 days.

Gift list for a shower is grabby. It's all come from America eh!
I'm not sure about baby showers full stop to be honest. I think having seen people go through sad times I don't think I'm totally comfortable celebrating the baby until he or she has safely arrived. But it is very personal I know and I guess if it's a first baby having a last little party before life changes forever isn't a bad thing!!!

misshoohaa · 16/08/2013 18:32

Kpigeon I opted out of the baby shower with DS as I was scared I would jinx things! Might push the boat out if I manage number 2, all this waiting I think will give me an excuse.

I agree, baby shower registers are pants, yes you get some odd gifts that aren't quite your taste when you have a baby but surely it's the thought that counts?

One of my favourite games for those that are keen....... What's the best/most useful things you got for DC1? Always helpful to hear as i love giving gifts that are good!

Mine would be a toss up between a mamaclip for the buggy and one of those giant muslins, both given to me and super handy! Grin

fedupofrainydays · 16/08/2013 18:45

Mine was this music box thing - it had magical powers that stopped ds crying!! I've since given two out to friends with new borns!!

kp I hope it's not af. Since my mc I've been all over the shop (or just noticing it more!) so know how you feel.

KPidgeon · 16/08/2013 18:59

I think ours was a vibrating chair- he wouldn't sleep in his cot for ages but I think that was us responding to every little whimper!

Can't think what else now. Oh I know- MIL gave us a rainbow maker- I still love this now. When sun shines it powers a little solar motor and turns a crystal round so we have little rainbow spinning slowly round the room. It's very calming and captivated babies and little ones.

Thanks fedup I think you're right- it might be being more aware of every different twinge/ache etc.

AbiBub · 16/08/2013 22:42

Hey ladies!

So a few of you have the same or close by af (aunt flow) dates coming up! Am hoping that they are combined bfp celebrations so keeping all my pinkies crossed here for you all! Fedup hope LO feels better soon, really glad the ice lollies worked!

Gift register at a baby shower! ! Now I have heard it all, I mean really! ! Lol. I never had a baby shower for dc1dont know if I'd get one for yhus bean?! Not too fussed in one sense but intrigued in another! !

Ok the most worthwhile things we bought ds were muslins plenty of! ! And a jumperoo (second hand of course! ! ) .

Feel tired now. Sorry not much of a reply :0/

getagoldtoof · 17/08/2013 06:41

Morning all. I read through the thread last night - welcome to all those joining us nutters.

I had been feeling too anxious and sad about what I presumed was an annovulatory cycle after early miscarriage in june. However I had a massive temp rise this morning so presume I ovulated on Thursday. I didn't get ewcm, so didn't know and we only had sex on monday. I knoew I'm not going to get pregnant yhis month, but at least things are back to normal. Sounds like lots of us due bank holiday weekend. Pah.

Fedup, sorry to hear about you little lad. I have been getting that sore throat feeling and wonder if there's something going round.

Abi, bet you're exhausted!

Hope everyone is ok, and having enough sex!

fedupofrainydays · 17/08/2013 15:05

Hey geta sometimes the ewcm stays up where it's meant to... Hence why you didn't see it!!

Thanks for all your good wishes for My DS. He has hand foot and mouth so has a mouthful of painful ulcers and been struggling to swallow. He had another ice lolly for brekkie this morn - pretty much all he will eat!
Keep thinking I'm getting it too as so tired with sore throat and slight fluey symptoms but no spots / blisters just yet!

fedupofrainydays · 17/08/2013 15:08

Ps abi is right, jumperoo was amazing! Ds got his for Christmas from the grandparents (anything remotely expensive tends to go on their list!)

AbiBub · 17/08/2013 20:34

Geta I am keeping fx the temp rise is all in a good cause and it only takes once of dtd to get up duffed so you never know Smile thr main thing us that you know your system is running as normal now :0)

Fedup; how long does hand foot and mouth last for? Poor mite, hope he feels better soon, at least he us managing to have something. You nay just be feeling run down with worrying and looking after your ds, hope you all feel better soon! The jumperoo was amazing, we got ours 2nd hand which was a good job to as they are mucho expensive otherwise! !

How is everyone?

onelittlepiglet · 17/08/2013 21:18

Ugh having horrible cramps - AF is in her way tomorrow. Feel terrible today really bloated and tearful. Had a terrible row with Dh too because he told me off for being upset this morning and said we should be happy because we have dd. he just doesn't get it. Sad He since apologised but he made me feel so awful and selfish for wanting another baby.

My American friend had a good laugh with me yesterday about baby showers and gift lists and how she thinks the whole thing is ridiculous too. Although did admit she had one for her first child but felt bullied into it! She also told me that in the US for weddings, you have the bridal shower which is where the bride has a gift list for house things, a bachelorette party (hen night) which usually lasts a weekend, all the rehearsal dinners etc where people buy you presents AND a wedding gift list!!! Crazy....

KeepTheCarRunning · 18/08/2013 08:13

Ugh one I'm so sorry to hear. I don't think they fully get the emotional rollercoaster of ttc. DH is into the ... erm... mechanics of ttc but the whole 2ww is beyond him..
I'm so hungover this morning. went out with dear friend last night and had a few. ouch my head this morning, and PIL are coming in a minute... (collapses on sofa)

fedupofrainydays · 18/08/2013 09:23

Oh one hope you are ok. They really don't get the emotional and physical rollercoaster that is ttc. My DH doesn't either. Although he wants another child he still sometimes implies I'm mean for getting so upset when bfn month after month when we have our gorgeous ds. Does your DH want another one too?

Ha ha - good luck with the PIL car hangover and PIL don't really mix (bit like children and hangovers!!) sound like you had fun though and i think a good night out does us good in this ttc hell!

fedupofrainydays · 18/08/2013 09:37

The problem with cheapo pregnancy tests is you don't feel naughty testing pretty much every day Blush
Don't even think im pregnant this month but still got the urge to test!! Bfn of course. But I am only 6 / 7 dpo!!! Idiot.

fedupofrainydays · 18/08/2013 09:43

abi Hfmd lasts up to 7 days apparently which is tomorrow for ds. Hope it goes soon, there are only so many FABs a boy can eat.

Where is dildoos btw? Are you somewhere up duffed?! Hope you had a great holiday but we have missed you!

LostMarbles99 · 18/08/2013 10:15

Oh I love that you are doing a test even though you don't think you are pregnant fedup!

I haven't had AF since beginning of June, don't seem to be ovulating so def can't be pregnant and I'm doing the same!

I posted a thread about this elsewhere but does anyone on here get phantom pregnancy kicks? It's my mind playing tricks on me!
