Ha Rachel yes I do remember Vivian's pregnancy in the Young Ones - that shows my age! Very funny.

To anyone who may know.. Do women who donate eggs have a say over who they go to? I'm intrigued now!

Would a little recap be a good idea as this thread is moving so fast and we have a couple of newbies on board?

Euro, IVF#2. Was supposed to be natural but adding in some drugs from today, so will be natural modified. Natural IVF#1 worked, but I mc'd.

Thanks for asking, Motor. As a matter of fact I am royally fucked-off. It is 11.40am over here and I have yet to be updated regarding the embryos' development. I know it's a Saturday but, honestly, don't they realise just how massively important this is to us couples? I rang the clinic but the answering machine says they're closed for business. I rang my coordinator (felt a bit guilty about this until I remembered we've spent £6k on this) but she didn't answer. I've emailed her but again...nada.

Am I Being Unreasonable?

No of course not Juice, id be down there ripping the door off the hinges seeing i could find anyone if it were me. You're right, you paid 6k for it so fuck em! I'd be going crazy about that on the NHS! Don't mess with a hormone fuelled woman!

motor 41, ttc 2 years. Mmc at 12 wks 2008. Currently on 1st cycle donor egg IVF. No previous IVF experience. Egg collection estimated for 24th June.

wish IVF cycle #1. PCOS, Ttc 3/4 years. Been through other pointless treatment.
Currently stimming trying to get my follicles the right size without producing too many.

hi motor no we dont get a say who they go to but we do have a say to how many couples and can withdraw frozen eggs and ask for them to no longer be used but my clinics never seen anyone do that and i dont see why they should,no the recipient picks the donor.

life i agree the stimm jabs hurt alot more iv cried every night but i think thats just because im fed up and this has been going on for weeks whens your next scan is it weds mines tuesday that will be day 8 so maybe EC around next monday or sooner i suppose if enough eggs i dont know its my first ivf but ill be glad to be normal again,we havent got long we just gotta get through this bit Smile

juicy they should be open on a Saturday, I had ET on a Saturday but they used a different part of the clinic and less staff around. Is there another number that they use for the weekends?? Maybe ask the girls on FF

I've been TTC #1 for nearly two years.
34, no problems with me, hub has low morphology and sluggish sperm.
Starting ivf#1 next month

FF girls are never around on a Saturday, they must have lives or something similarly absurd Hmm When we went to the clinic on Thursday my coordinator told us that we will receive an update every single morning - 'including weekends!' - and did I wish to be notified via phone or email?

Anyway, I sent DH down to the clinic (25 minute walk so, naturally, I refused to accompany him) and he has just rung me to say that the whole building is shut, the front gates are padlocked and there isn't a single car in the car park or road immediately facing the clinic. I'm fucking furious and deeply suspicious as to how the fuck they're 'monitoring' my embryos from their beds at home Angry

Why is my coordinator not picking up her mobile? Hmmm? Slag.

Euro, ET is on Tuesday (18th).

Juicy, 41, TTC 18 months (golly! Is that all?), mmc at eleven weeks last year, one blocked tube, four rounds of wanky Clomid, Ist (and last) donor egg IVF here in (even more) wanky Czech Republic. Six 'good-looking' embryos so far, ET Tuesday.

juicy I do think its odd that the place is shut on a Saturday but I am sure that someone is inside monitoring your embies or is the machine supposed to do it for them??, my clinic just gave me a number to ring between certain times

life I have no idea what it is supposed to do, I just do as I am told Wink
