I get arse pain after EC. Like im being arse pokered by a red hot nob. Its a killer.

But I have endo so probably an individual thing. All the other women look comfortable.....

Wish they will just have to stim you longer if the eggs aren't big enough yet, it can't be written in stone when they are coming out. I had 2 days when the drs said I might trigger tonight, they have to get that right to ensure max no of mature eggs.

Is anyone on cyclogest? I put one in (bum) at 8pm, by 9 and ever since I've had bad diarrhoea, any know if the progesterone would have had enough time in my body before I pooed it out? And also has it upset anyone else's belly?

mejust EC is fine, you won't remember a thing and you get to lounge around in bed for a couple of hours after. Result. Hopefully I will have the scratch mid July ish and then start drugs a couple of weeks later. It'll be our 3rd go - blimey, this time last year we'd only just had our first ever IVF consultation - that's mad!

Just very bloated and uncomfortable mejust. The nurse has told me to go on tight duties at work and rest all weekend. She reminds me of a head mistress so id better listen or she'll get the cane out! I'm too sensitive for that right now

I found EC traumatic because psychologically I don't deal well with being knocked out. Physically it was absolutely fine. I was getting dressed within seconds minutes of coming round and out of the clinic within about 15 minutes. I don't recommend you try it (it's my weird bolting thing I have when I come round) but I mention it because it shows I was physically up to it. I had no spotting and just felt a bit jet lagged that afternoon from the sedation. The next day I was 100% back to normal.

AFM, I am sort of abandoning hippie IVF. My scan this morning was a bit odd. I have, um, 15 (!) good sized follies. Without any drugs. So the sonographer suggested that a natural modified cycle might be a good idea, to take advantage of the follies my body has started to grow naturally. She sent me for a blood test and discussed it with the consultant and apparently my oestrogen is a bit low, so adding in some drugs could really help. So I'll be injecting stimms over the weekend, then being scanned again on Monday to see where we go from there.

I think this is what has been happening post-mc. I used to feel ov clearly on one side. Since the mc, I have been getting ov pains on both sides each month and oving later (and possibly not at all on one of the three post-mc cycles). I reckon my body has been producing loads of follies but had trouble popping the eggs out.

So taking advantage of the natural start and then giving the hormones a boost could be helpful. Or it could all go horribly wrong. I'm certainly not counting chickens.

karbea I never had diarrhoea from the cyclogest, but I have read that it absorbs within about 20-30 mins so you shouldn't have lost any of it. Mine were up the bum all the way(literally). Fancy taking juicy and her anti-Essex arse on?

noks 3 eggs round 1 and 1 round 2, I think the consultant was maybe suggesting a link between the high dose stims and poor quality eggs. Am getting started on my list of questions for Tuesday

karbea I read somewhere the progesterone is absorbed within 20 mins. If that's true you should be fine. They didn't give me the squits but I had a strong preference for the front door with those things.

wish It's at an nhs hospital but they see private and nhs patients. It's the only clinic in our city and the success rates are good so we didn't look anywhere else.

Juicy hope you have got the hang of the vials now ? we had a plastic sheath thing to put over the top of them so the glass didn?t shatter. I told DH using that was for girls but seeing as the last Menopur injection I gave myself was in my car under the railway arches having popped out from a night at the Cockpit in Leeds, that?s just the kinda rough monkey that I am We had plastic syringe, glass vial of water, glass bottle of Menopur, HEOWGE pink needle (for drawing up liquid) and v small yellow needle (for stabbing myself with). Yaaaargh Choco you're one tough mofo if you injected yourself with the big needle

Hi Wish I started Menopur (300iu) injections on the 24th of May, scan on Day 7, didn?t have enough follies, increased to 450iu of Menopur, another scan on Sat, looking ?a bit bigger?, another scan on Monday, ovary like a grapefruit and 20+ follies so please don?t worry, they?ll grow! I?m veggie and I didn?t have any more protein than normal but listen to these ladies, it?s good advice.

Tame unless you?re feeling that way inclined and you go girl if you are, but if not I could get one of those dildo scanners for you and you could offer to prod your DH right up the arse with it!!! I read your comment to my DH and the way he turned white told me he?d know it?d be his arse, after I?d finished with his eyes!!

euro sounds exciting! I read somewhere ghat IVF is not a science but an art form. I like theidea that you and your team are being creative with the cycle!

I've lost touch with whatpeople are doing, but juicy are you preparing for EC? mejust how are you doing? When is your hext scan?

In fact I really need to read back properly as I'm struggling to remember who/where in cycle.

newbies welcome to the egg hunt!

me well, as I predicted a few days back, I think I'm struggling more with the gonal-f. I've got headaches non stop, am feeling mardy and irritable, cried twice yesterday (les mis and kings 24 hr in a and e) and am generally blurgh. Still neutral about the IVF though - its a general moodiness.

Oh, and I hate the gonal -f jabs. They hurt more and I have to keep reminding myself that it is nothing compared to childbirth... I think I've probably only got a week or two left of this? I have no idea.

Sorry if i've left people out - Ineed to read up your stories so I give the right comment!

Hi Flowers and welcome. If I made the law it'd be that eggs wouldn't go to people who irritate the fuck out of me!! But civilisation would probably come to a big fat halt if we did it that way Can't believe that information even comes up! Erm, relevance!?!?!? Bastards! If you give people choices on who they can donate to where the hell would you draw the line?!?! I don't like people who hog the middle lane or eat with their mouths open so they'd be off my list straight away Lots of luck in the process anyway, lots of people here using DE and it's fantastic x

Mejust I had my EC on the 5th of June. Got in the nice arse-wafty gown and hair net. Walked to the theatre, up in the usual position legs akimbo, canula in hand, owowow but don't think about it, it's over quick. Clever Professor type person shoves the speculum right up without warning it hurt but only like ow I've stubbed my toe not like yikes my arm's been cut off I said "Bloody hell - ow!!!!!!" or something, next thing, tons of drugs in my canula and I woke up 30 minutes later wanting a brew and a biscuit. No pain. Got up, got dressed, watched films all afternoon. Only side effect was a bloated stomach that looks like Adrian from the Young Ones when he had his miracle pregnancy (if anyone remembers that!!)!!!!
